So when I made the appointment online I put in notes I have keratin treated hair but when I went to book it kept giving me weird error message about credit card so I called. They did not ask if I had any special treatment or anything but did ask on hair length and said they may charge extra which I was fine with. I arrived at my appointment and was greeted quickly by the stylist who quickly whisked me to the back to begin shampoo. She didn't ask me anything about my hair and quickly began shampooing. I learned from overhearing her talking to another stylist that she used clarifying shampoo.. which is a no-no for keratin treated hair. :( Then she put on what I assumed was the deep conditioner but not sure as she wasn't really talking to me. Just seemed very rushed. I tried to make small talk with her but she wasn't really having it so I gave up. She put me in this chair with red lights behind it which was cool- way better than standard heated station (whatever they call it)..but one of the lamps died and no one noticed as they were too busy talking to one another. When she came to get me I pointed it out but she just said "that's fine". After basic "how do you want your hair blown" and I said straight, she got to work. No heat protectant or anything like that. Double boo. My only thought with the not much talking etc was maybe she assumed I was "just" a Groupon customer, one to be tolerated but in and out as quickly as possible. Not realizing that 1) I tip very well and 2) I can't tell you how many businesses I've become a regular paying customer at because of an initial Groupon deal. (I've been seeing my eyebrow girl for 14 years due to a Groupon, my regular hair salon for 6 years, etc.) It's a shame as I live very close to this salon but probably won't be returning as I felt kind of unwelcome here and didn't get the best service. C'est la vie. Back to my beloved old salon for sure. I will say that my hair was very straight afterwards but the experience I had was just meh.

This is a full salon for hair, nails, spa treatments and purchase of products too There are many different sections to this place which is quite interesting how the lay out is. I did it pass it since there were trees on front of the sign outside. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with kindness and said it would be jus a few minutes. Julianna came and took me to her station to see what I wanted done . I them went to get shampooed and mentioned to Juliana my hair is thick and coarse so needs to be conditioned and combed out, she understood and told the person who was shampoo g my hai. I always love to get my hair shampooed as it is relaxing. I went back to Julianna and she did a great job taking her time and asking in between if the amount she will cut is fine . The Damage & Failed Correction: I went to Pyure Salon in Coconut Creek with a dark brunette base. I sat with stylist Angela Snell and explicitly requested caramel money pieces, making it clear that I wanted to avoid orange tones. Angela under-toned the bleach application, leaving me with a harsh, bright copper-orange color. I actually gave Angela a chance to fix it and went back to the salon, but she was incredibly rude, denied that it was orange, and insisted it was "caramel" when it obviously was not. The photos I've attached of the brassy orange hair actually show her after the attempted correction. To make matters worse, the chemical processing severely compromised my hair texture, leaving my strands noticeably damaged, dry, frizzy, and disrupting my natural curl pattern. The Final Correction: Because of the extensive color and texture damage, I went to Bokka Salon in Coconut Creek for a major color correction. Toni at Bokka completely transformed my hair back to beauty. Toni expertly neutralized the harsh orange tones, delivering the soft, seamless sandy wood and caramel dimensions I originally wanted. The keratin did hold up during my trip in terms of frizz, hence the 3 stars instead of 1...but my hair was not shiny or healthy looking and I had to re-do the keratin in about 6 weeks when it usually lasts months with better products. Responding to the reply- no worries at all to make it right. I went back to my usual person for keratin and am happy with my hair now. The salon itself is in the Bella Salon Suites in the far side of the Best Buy plaza on Sample . Travis was really upbeat and spent a good amount of time getting to know my hair before starting which I really appreciate. He did a dry cut and full head Balayage which involved hand painting the hair and separating the strands with a plastic wrap . He was extremely meticulous about every strand .
