Probably the worst color and cut I've ever had. I asked for chunky highlights and got pencil thin ones, The cut was extremely uneven in the back and too short to repair it in anyway. I would definitely not recommend this salon. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bokka Salon, and I must say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a pristinely clean and inviting atmosphere which immediately put me at ease... Casey, my hairdresser was nothing short of exceptional. She was not only highly professional but also took the time to ask me detailed questions about my hair, ensuring that she understood my needs and preferences perfectly. I have thick, coarse Asian hair and she immediately did her magic to let my dark hair lay with beautiful layers and flatteringly framed my face, which can get heavy and flat if styled incorrectly. Casey is truly knowledgeable in her craft and her expertise shone with every step of the process. Some highlights were the yummy coffee that I got to sip during my cut which kept me awake, the incredible hair massage and shampoo that I got which was so relaxing I almost fell asleep, and the Moroccan oil which left my hair super soft and feeling healthy. Overall, I left Bokka Salon feeling pampered, refreshed, and with such a beautiful hairstyle that my husband loves and that exceeded my expectations. The hairstylist I got completely ignored my instructions, cut way more than I told him to, and was so aggressive with the clippers that I still have swelling and scarring 24 hours after the appointment. I went to a Hair Cuttery afterwards to get it fixed, and they did a much better job for cheaper. I don't understand how some of the hairstylists at BOKKA are even allowed to cut hair. read more

This is my 3rd visit to Bokka Salon. I am a client for life!! Jenesty is a winning hairstylist and colorist! If you're tired of your current look, go to Bokka Salon and ask for Jenesty (rhymes with Tennessee). I didn't know what I wanted so I gave Jenesty free reign to color my hair. The results were wonderful. The base color was a warm medium brown (from an original much darker purply color) and then she literally painted my hair with blond & caramel balayage. She is an artist with color!! And what a change from the look I had before. I flew out of Bokka Salon on Cloud 9. If I can feel this good at 75, isn't it worth it for you? Bokka has an amazing owner and staff. Each stylist is cheerful and helpful. I was in sales and I can tell the difference between BS and sincere. Autumn did my color and fixed the brass in my hair . She nailed it . Prices are a little steep but was well worth it .. maybe because I've had the same hairdresser for YEARS so she has never raised her prices . But the color is amazing. I was not going to leave a review, but they sent me an email saying it would help a lot if I left a review so here goes. The place is nice and clean. Everyone seemed attentive. My stylist was very nice and during my color consult she asked another stylist for assistance in choosing a color so I felt like I was in good hands. The color was fine; however, the technique for applying was just sloppy and unprofessional. My skin stained so bad. I understand a little color here or there. But to let me leave the Solon looking like I did was embarrassing. My mother who has been doing hair for over 50 years graciously brought home some dye remover from work to try and help me out, but by the time I got to her it wasn't coming off. So, not sure how long I'll have to look like this. I booked an appointment to come back and do some highlights, but I will be calling to cancel. Update: Farah, the store owner, called me right away to apologize. He offered a free wash and blow dry added to my highlights for future appointment, but I declined. I am appreciative of him reaching out, just not comfortable going back to the salon at this point. Maybe a bit more training needed on the part of the stylist. read more

Faraz is the consummate professional. I recently moved to the area and my first encounter with a stylist at another salon yielded unfortunate results with cut and color. Based on Yelp reviews, I called Faraz. During the consultation, he clearly explained how he could rescue my hair and, within a few months, he has done just that. I have mixed feelings about this salon since I am still left feeling baffled about my experience till this day. Here's my narrative... The salon itself is easy to find and inside - very clean, modern, and tidy. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive to your needs which is always great. I had an appointment and I came in with screenshotted images of the look that I was attempting to achieve and gave Faraz, the stylist/salon owner, firm direction on the cut. He assured me that short cuts are his specialty so I felt like I was in good hands. I specifically said I did not want the top of the hair touched, just the back buzzed since I am attempting to grow out my hair without looking like I have a rattail in the process. During the cut I was perplexed. The usual salon banter that you experience with your stylist through the cutting process was very peculiar with Faraz. His sense of humor is interesting, to say the least. He fabricated stories and had me puzzled the entire time I was in that seat since I didn't understand his quirky sarcasm which apparently everyone at the salon was accustomed to. Honestly, I was not thrilled with my haircut because it wasn't what I was going for. What I wanted was Posh Spice and what I got was Peter Pan. He felt the need to even things throughout my head which led to me looking like a 12-year old boy. I don't think that he took my direction that well, instead he took matters into his own hands which in the end really bothered me. I thought I was very clear and I thought we were on the same page, but, we were in two different books. Towards the end of my cut, I felt rushed and a sense of oddity with Faraz which left me uneasy and uncomfortable. I'm not sure what shifted with his vibe or demeanor but I left the salon disconcerted. As far as pricing goes - my cut was $70 total, the obligatory 20% tip was $14, which then made the haircut $84. I was truly not excited to cough up the card since I wasn't satisfied with my end result but still, put a smile on my face. Usually, when you leave a salon with a fresh cut you feel like a million bux but I had the opposite effect. I couldn't wait to get home and put on a hat and crawl under a rock. In fact, I ended up buying a wig a few days later I couldn't bear to look at myself int he mirror. Sad to say I will not be returning to Bokka as I am left perturbed and slightly hesitant to get another haircut anywhere at this point. All I can say is I hope you all have a better experience if you decide to book with Bokka. UPDATE - Faraz gave me a call and I will be coming in to the salon within the next couple of weeks and we are going to turn this cut into something amazing so stay tuned for photos. He let me know that he received some devastating news during out first cut and that's why his vibe was off and that's completely understandable. I'm looking forward to seeing him again and seeing what he can do with this do. Second times the charm? Fingers crossed! He is a nice guy and I'm giving Bokka another shot. read more

She recommended full highlights instead of a root touch up with highlights and was able to cover all of my grays and get rid of the brassy tones and now I won't have a line of demarcation when it grows out. SPAM ALERT!!! DID THIS HAPPEN TO YOU TOO??? They sell a Keratin Treatment on Groupon for one price. When you make the appointment they say in rare instances people with very long and thick hair may require additional vials at $50 per ounce. Before Cristina began she asked "Did they say there could be an additional charge?" My response was yes but I have relatively thin and short hair. She agreed and said it is highly doubtful I would need any extra but she would see how far the formula went and discuss it with me. All is well and when I went to check out I quickly signed the receipt and had brought enough cash with me to pay the tip on the total amount of the normal service price.It was the night before the supposed hurricane and I was in a rush to shop for my elderly parents and did not look at the receipt until Monday. When I called the salon and asked to speak with the stylist she quickly put the owner on. He was very arrogant and said I'll refund you the $25 but not the total fifty extra dollars you were charged. I tried to explain again that the stylist was going to discuss with me it she ran out of the original formula but did not. She completed my entire hair without ever leaving to add another drop. He became extremely combative and said $25 take it or leave it. Sadly, there were only foreigners in the shop when I was there and probably don't even realize that they are being ripped off. Not sure if it is the stylists dishonesty or the Owner's. In any event, I would highly recommend you go anywhere else for your Keratin treatments. read more

This salon is more concerned with making money than correcting a bad hair job. When we were not happy with the yellow hair (I kid you not) we were charged an extra $30 to fix the color. It was still wrong and they could not be bothered to fix it since their schedule was full. This was my teenager's hair. She did not want to be seen in public. She was devastated and cried about how she looked. When I called the owner, he said he could fix it in a couple days. We we're leaving town the next day. He dismissed us at that time and his hands were tied. I was fortunate to find another salon who was also fully booked. They were kind and had empathy for my daughter. They saw her hair made an easy 8 foil fix. We were in and out. I now have a happy teenager and our lives are spared. I think Casey meant well. She just took on more than she could handle in the timeframe. I'm leaving the bad review for two reasons: 1, the extra charge to fix a bad hair color(yellow is not blond) 2. Unwillingness to correct the bad hair because they had other clients. They left my daughter in tears. Not a good way to be a service provider read more

I love using groupon to find deals so I found a deal for this salon and of course I looked up up the reviews before I bought it and surely enough this salon is 5 stars ! My hairstylist was Ilian, she was very sweet made me feel very comfortable and actually had a conversation with me. I love when hairstylist do that. I trusted her enough to do whatever cut she needed to do to get my hair back to a healthy place. I had 4 months of split ends. She did an absolutely amazing job. I will now be coming to see her every 8 weeks for a trim. I love how this salon has a rewards program so I get money off my services or any products I want to get. read more
