I had even booked an appointment to get my hair colored. I trusted her. The strangest part? She had her friends stalking my instagram stories. Being ghosted by someone I'd trusted as my stylist was disappointing and confusing. Because of that experience, I won't be returning and can't recommend her. She isn't interested in explaining her weird and unprofessional behavior. Cowardly passive aggressive ghosting with no explanation. Unprovoked. And childish. And you can't trust people like that with your hair.

I went in & the stylist and I had a great conversation about what I was looking for. The cut was really beautiful but she said the color would take more time than what we'd booked. She said she'd confer with the owner for any additional suggestions for processing my hair, and I scheduled the following week for color services. I returned for the color a week before Christmas. We spoke again to confirm my objective: I wanted ash blonde highlights in my naturally grey hair. Easy Peasy, right? No. The color process went awry, and after she tried to tone the color down with an all-over color, I left with a full head of solid strawberry blonde hair. Yes, I paid $250 for a 3 hour, total hair transformation...which was great if I were in witness protection. On Christmas Eve, my grandchildren cried because they didn't recognize me, and our dinner was unusually quiet. I never went back to the salon, and in spite of the stylists' advising my stylist on remedial options, I never heard from the salon again. The End

The place is clean and the wait is minimal. The prices are very reasonable. For under $70, I can get balayage, haircut, and style. Yeah, crazy, right? And it's quality work, not some chain that you immediately regret even before you leave. This place is usually busy but there are some times that are quiet because people are at work or whatever. They listen to your needs and make suggestions. If you don't like what you receive, they'll do their best to fix it. I've never received bad service here and always get compliments when I leave. There are business cards for each one in front when you walk in though. Each salon suite is personalized to the specific renter and they run things their way. If you're in the Olathe area (or however far you don't mind driving), there are a ton of great stylists that are willing to fit you in and make you a regular client. My stylist, Dani, moved over to Identity Suites about a year-ish ago and I followed her here from another salon she was at and this is by far better than any "salon" that she was at before. It's quiet, peaceful and convenient to locate. If you're looking for a new stylist, check out the people here... My hair hasn't looked better!

Most hairstylists run over with clients, but she's the only one who's actually let me know she was running a little over, which I really appreciate. She made sure she knew exactly what I wanted and I love my hair. For the wax, I got my eyebrows done. She used a super sensitive wax and I had no problems at all, actually my eyes normally turn SUPER red but this was the least red they've ever been. I'll definitely be going back!
