I brought my sister and daughter into Ulta beauty shop for us all to get our hair washed. The beautician a beautiful black lady, but I dont remember her name exactly. Name started with a D, but I dont know if that was the first or last name. She was very rough while washing our hair, didn't do a good job all, it was the roughest treatment I have ever had by a beautician. She then started wringing it out like a towel, twisting it tightly and pulling on it so hard. Then when she cut my sisters bangs, just the BANGS!! she then charged 35.00 for a 'hair cutting fee to her. We will never go back there again. I didn't let her style my hair because I didn't care for the way she styled my sister's hair, it was horrible. This was on Friday the 7th of August. The total bill was 217.00 for 3 haircuts; one for sure was just bangs cut. And 3 washings, and 2 hair styling with a curling iron and blow dryer. Nothing was worth 100.00, much less 217.00. Very disappointed and embarrassed. My sister said her hairstylist in Tucson was going to have a fit when she sees what she allowed to be done to her bangs. Since the first cut in August from shoulder length to above the collar--was shorter than I've ever worn it and a brand new look/cut for me---it just needed a little tweaking. I wanted my 2 front cow licks to lay right after blow drying & the sides (by my ears) not be so heavy (I showed her) She seemed distracted because I shouldn't feel rushed--and that I don't have her undivided attention---but, I did. The tweak? To "me", my hair looks exactly the same--doesn't flow. I was in and out of salon in 20 min tops. Not sure, I will go back. Sad. When I got there for my appt she had just started on another lady and she also had someone else scheduled at the same time as me. So, she is not good with scheduling or timing. When I first left I really liked my hair and I even sent her feedback letting her know how good of a job she did. I also referred family & friends. HOWEVER, after about a week I noticed that it was not full in the top at all as I told her I liked. By the 2nd week my hair was loose and it was so loose I noticed that she had CUT MY BUNDLES! I texted her to let her know how unhappy I was about it and that she did not ask me and she said that with some of her specials they are cut. However, I paid REGULAR FULL PRICE! She offered me a free sew in a few weeks after only to ignore me when I contacted her about the appointment to give her another try. When taking my sew-in down it was very clear that she did not know what she was doing! Her braiding pattern was very bad and she sewed together two of my bundles and put them in the very back of my hair which is why the top was so thin and cut! She also messed up my little cousins closure and she's so tracks in between the closure and tracks are showing! This lady needs to seriously go back to school. I understand mow why she is putting cards on cars and $25 off cards on people's cars. People would be foolish and stupid to go back, unless they know no better themselves.

However, when I called to make my appointment, I asked if any stylist knew how to cut "thin, very curly hair". I was assured that I was @ the right place. Ms. Kylie wore her mask the whole time, so I was not able to see her whole face... but I appreciated that she was following the guidelines! I'm a chemistry teacher @ WBHS so I was completely pooped out when I go there. But Ms. Kylie did an amazing job at keeping me engaged! it was great to talk to someone animated - it was an easy conversation. We had a great conversation about COVID, schools, hair dos & colors, while she cut my hair. Ok, the point: I LOVE the way Ms. Kylie cut my hair! She did an amazing job. I know that she knew I was nervous. Thin, curly hair needs to be cut and treated differently. It you do not cut it correctly, my hair will frizz & I will look like a ball. Additionally my hair is super short so I can't even put it up to hide bad hair cuts. Unfortunately, I've had this problem a few times in other salons; hence the Initial nervousness & hesitance. I am very greatly to have found Ms. Kylie. After my next cut, I will be doing a color again. Most definitely a rating of #5 - EXCELLENT! B/c that is what she was.
