She has done my hair before which came out good hence why I went back for braids this time. But the first time and only time I went to her I got a sew in (NOT BRAIDS). She tells me the last time she did my hair I got braids.... She said that I expressed to her " they were too tight and needed to be taken down". (WHICH WAS NOT TRUE) Therefore this time around she told me she did not feel comfortable doing my braids. I then explain to her that she's only done my hair once and it was a sew in. I never had braids done by her. And I never would ask for my hair to be taken down or out because I am not tender headed at all. Even if I was it's just not something I would say. I even showed her a picture of the hairstyle that she did on me a couple years ago. She then look's me in my face and said that wasn't her that did it....and she feels uncomfortable braiding my hair. Because she braids too tight. But like I said I never got braids done by her. I have got braids done for many years By different people. Never had to deal with someone refusing to do my hair. She is the only person I've seen working there and for me to be lied to when I had proof was mind blowing. All I wanted was 2 braids but she refused to do my hair. I am a little upset cause I feel that she just didn't want to do it cause of how I looked. But it is what it is. Nothing I can do now. But... I ended up finding a salon that would do my hair no problem.

I was referred to Ashley by a coworker and am relatively new in town and don't have a permanent stylist. She has great photos and I was immediately drawn to her ability. The first consultation I had, i didn't go through with the appointment that the consultation was for. I thought it to be very expensive ( I was trying to go platinum blonde) and decided to maybe come back another time. In the next few months, I had tried other stylists and wasn't truly happy, so I went back to Ashley and decided to give it a try. I got a quote from her for $140. She said she may have to do a mask for an additional $30 at which I explained that I had a few masks I had at home and was using, sent her the names of it, and she told me those were good and we left it at that. On the day of the appointment I was running 5-10 min late. I texted her to let her know and she offered me coffee which was super sweet and I loved the gesture. This was my girl, I had finally found her! She explained to me that her daughter was with her and that her mom couldn't watch the little girl that morning and that she's really good. I have a three year old myself and will commend mothers working and trying to make ends meet. I believe that as long as the child is well behaved then you know, it should be alright. The experience itself was a little different than what was expected. The work was quick and I could tell Ashley had a lot of experience. I was excited to see the outcome and found myself very relaxed. As time went on, her daughter became more and more restless (as to be expected, she is around three years old). What began as a small question here and a small request there became Ashley leaving my hair in the middle of coloring it to take her daughter to the bathroom, and the little girl to crawl under the chair I was sitting in (which was a swivel chair and I was scared I was going to hit her on accident when turning) and hanging off of the chair I was in. She would grab multiple objects and became more and more active as time went on. I don't think it was appropriate to have her in that environment if it affects the service provided. It was uncomfortable. After finishing my hair, Ashley charged me $200. I reminded her about the estimated price she gave me and she said that she ended up doing the mask for me. She never told me during the process that she was doing that mask. 1- Her child running around. 2- Incurred extra charges. 3- Splotch on hair (the reason I'm posting this) After 1 week, I parted my hair in a different place. I noticed a spot on my hair, as if some color just fell on there. I tried to call her and let her know. I was told that I would have to pay for a whole new treatment because a week has gone by and I didn't say anything right away. I couldn't possibly spot something like that right away, and was so disappointed with the whole process. I will never go back, and hope you found this insightful.

I reached out to Groupon for a refund and Christina blatantly lied to them and said I got my hair done(funny considering I never even sat in her chair as she chose to take my mother first while I started to eat the lunch we picked up when she told us to come back a half hour later). I have gone to Nadia a few times from when she was in Winter Park and Oviedo. As far as I am aware, I have never had an issue with her, although my sister and her did have an issue, I am a different person and don't expect her to treat me as if I am my sister as there was never an issue with me. In the last 5 years that I have gone to her salon (stopped for 2 years during covid and her availability when I needed it), she has cancelled on me THREE times. I only have the most recent cancellation as the others were over 2 years ago. She recently cancelled on me and I'm STILL waiting for a text/call back. This is VERY unprofessional and unacceptable. I was counting on her for a very important life event and she failed me. She didn't even offer any sort of help or referral. NOTHING. Maybe she doesn't care about her clients since she has so many and I only really went to her once a year for balayage but that's still no way to treat people. If she didn't want me as a client anymore, she could have at least been professional and an adult and let me know instead of cancelling last minute. Please keep this in mind if you decide to use her services. Have a back up plan because she is NOT dependable. Same situation happened to my sister hence why they had an issue. I won't give the name of the stylist because she's young and needs to learn how to listen to her customers when they are specifically telling her how they want their hair.
