This Location has messed up my daughters hair on many occasions. Prior to today, I had believed it was the beauticians inadequacy in comprehension mechanisms to provide what was asked when it came to specifics on my daughters ideal hair cut. However after much thought, I believe it is their training. They cannot properly cut layers & will manipulate the situation to best suit their excuses & inabilities. For this Location I'd say their best work is done on more simplistic measures, haircuts & hairstyles. read more

I came here for a toner after getting a balayage elsewhere a month ago. On the website, it's listed around $27-40 depending on the stylist chosen. When I got there, they told me initially it would be the full color charge and when I argued no, she changed it back to the toner cost. Then she charged me additional for my hair length (which was not stated on the website). Since it was my first time, I tried to use the 20% off first color service, but it only applied the color cost- not my length fee. Then, it was an additional $13 to blow dry my hair? Overall, a lot of hidden fees and things I feel like was not listed on the website. The hairstylist herself was nice and did a good job overall, but probably won't be going back. read more

I'm giving 5-stars because I can get a shampoo and haircut for $18 plus a tip. I'm tempted to remove a star because of the upselling. You have to be ready to say no. If you add the extra conditioning treatment and the blowdry, your haircut will cost close to $50. The pre-packaged shampoos are $40 a bottle (which is ridiculous). Oh but it's BOGO, etc. ~still overpriced. Some of the hairdressers are truly excellent master stylists. You need an appointment for them, but I can usually just walk-in on payday and get seen by somebody. I like the flexibility... and the price. I switched to the fancy salon at the mall one time and the stylist cut about 1/8 of an inch off of my hair. I was angry that I paid so much for so little. Now I'm back at Hair Cuttery. read more

I tried again after a many year gap as my stylist is unavailable and great clips was closed. Different person than last unsuccessful attempt but I feel the issues speaks to the quality of training this company gives. I never had issues like this at great clips and won't be going back if ever I need an emergency cut again. Photos try to show the uneven chop. I had my haircut by Maria Barba, today, based on 3 reviews I read on Yelp. I AM ECSTATIC! I have long hair with bangs, nothing complicated, but you'd be surprised at how badly people can screw this up! My hair is also frizzy/wavy, but I try to dry it as straight as possible. Maria did a fantastic job!!! Dried it with a 5" round brush, angled the front with a razor (people, rarely, get the angle in the front right/even), which came out great. Very knowledgable about hair & products, and she explained everything she used. I will definitely be going back & will recommend her to everyone. I only get my hair cut about once a year because I don't enjoy going, I'm usually not happy with what I get, the price at a regular salon is ridiculous for what I get, and I've had some bad experiences at Supercuts, but I will be happy to visit Maria every 2 months. She listens to our requests and does exactly like it, even both my mom and I are extremely picky with our hairs. I lost her during covid shutdown and went to many other salons, including high end places, but no one could do my hair like her. I had Georgina as my hair colorist. I don't have much experience with coloring my hair it was only my second time at Hair Cuttery and I told her whatever was in the computer from the last time is what I wanted done, including pictures. She came back with the total price written on a piece of paper.. who knows why? I said that was a lot higher than the first time I was there. She ended up adding more treatments then I asked for including some deep conditioning treatment that I didn't want and I specifically was charged extra for toner when I only wanted just coloring. It ended up turning out not how I wanted it was all just very disappointing. I won't be returning. read more

By far best hair stylist ive found locally. Maria Barba highly recommended very professional, and you can tell she knows what she is doing and enjoys doing it. I would give her 5 stars on her own!! Although, i couldn't say the same for the store; the 3 star review is for the store. Recently on multiple occasions ive called to make an appointment with Maria Barba. And other stylist tell me she doesnt work there anymore or sometimes my appointment gets booked and when i go in for my appointment i get told that that there isnt anything booked for me, or set a wrong time or date. Very frustrating having your appointment cancelled without my knowledge. It is very frustrating. Be aware!! BE SURE TO ASK FOR YOUR HAIRSTYLIST TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THEM OR YOULL BE TOSSED AROUND. Or ask who youre talking to that is booking your appointment. I love this place! They keep a record, have great prices and friendly staff. In and out quickly with very good work. I have short natural hair that doesn't need blowing out, curling, chemicals or dye. I get a regular cut every 4 weeks for $17 plus tip, which you can't beat. I asked for a haircut of only HALF AN INCH off the very ends, you know a basic haircut and the hair stylist at Hair Cuttery cut TWO INCHES off the length of my hair. I have to say, I have been working really hair to grow my hair and achieve a nice even length since the last stylist two years ago at another salon decided I need 5 inches cut of and layers. What is the deal with hair stylist deciding that's best for the client and when did the client wants stop being whats right? I want what I ask for and I hate that I paid for this service and left a tip. That's the LAST time I will ever go to a Hair Cuttery. So the stylist at Hair Cuttery stubbornly gave me layers which I despise, after me clearly saying no to layers. Furthermore, not only did she persistently ask me if I was interested in layers and I firmly said NO time after time, because my hair is long and thick, and layers personally only lead to breakage and volume that I don't need, (Side note: Layers are for folks who want volume, me on the other hand, can barely get a comb through my long locks of hair.) also, the hair dresser repetitively asked if I wanted to dye my hair..Over and over again, my guess is that Hair Cuttery got struck pretty hair by the Covid Pandemic and are desperately trying to up-sale their customers. Word of advice Hair Cuttery, give the client what they ask for, by repeatedly asking me if I wanted to color my hair or layers or products that I consistently said no too, came of way to desperate and while that's okay, because it's unprecedented times, but the big chop they took of my hair was a big fat slap in the face, if the hair dresser wld have only taken off a half an inch like I asked I wouldn't have been upset because I cld still get another haircut and only have an inch cut off if I decided to get another half inch off. The hair dresser kept messing up which resulting in her cutting more and more off. My hair is long and wavey, if you don't know how to cut textured hair I suggest to ask another hair stylist to take the client. Perhaps this salon is only for folks with bone straight hair, I wouldnt test it, if you admire your length don't come here, let me save you a hearth ache! Literally go anywhere else. Hair Cuttery, lastly, it's my body my choice! It may seem as I'm being harsh but it's not often a salon messes up my simple request of half an inch off the bottom. My hairs 20 inches, WAS, now it's 18 inches.. soon to be shorter because now I have to get ANOTHER haircut to fix the one I got here. Who here agrees how hard it is to grow your hair past 20 inches? It takes a lot of care and regular haircuts. NOT BIG CHOPS which is what I received but didn't ask for here at Hair Cuttery. It was very rude of the hair dresser to cut my hair more then I asked for to be cut, she basically told me you would look better with more inches cut off. My hair already has volume, not everybody NEEDS layers. I usually go to GreatClips, not any location specifically, but they always give me the cut that I ask for even if they don't agree with what I ask for. Great Clips was closed on the day I decided to try out to Hair Cuttery. At that, Hair Cuttery did a very uneven job, I cld have done a better even job myself not to be rube but I'm very upset! From the time I walked-in to the time I walked-out, instead of focusing on the SIMPLE cut I asked for, they totally disregarded me. I'm not angle I'm disappointed. read more

I have been a customer in this hair cuttery for over fifteen years. My favorite stylist is Marcela and I even recommended her to my sister who is not easy to please and loved her cut. She is always attentive to my requests and her skills with color and styling are mind blowing. Marcela is experienced and also she keeps up with new trends and hairstyles. I would like to add that Marcela is talented in her profession and proof of that is that her agenda is always overbooked. People know that she is good and she has many repeat customers. It is important to book way in advance to see her but it's worth the wait. I love the color, highlights and cuts that she provides as well as the blow dry. I wouldn't trust my hair to anybody else and I recommend her a 100%. read more

Not a kid friendly environment - lots of things for kids to get into and break while waiting. Stylists seemed very disinterested in helping us. My hairdresser is the best. But while I'm waiting for my color to get done, somebody woke me up and ask me to move because she needs to use the wash station. So rude and no manners. I believe she is the manager there. I'm speechless...I told my hairdresser that I did not appreciate that. Does she really likes me to move while my hair is dripping! No kidding. Guess what they are doing to the 2 extra washing station? Plucking eye brows . Do they need shampoo ! No ! They could have done the eyebrow somewhere not on the washing station. She struggled with a simple trim and did not know how to set blow dry. She asked Regina to take over, who did an amazing job. The salon is good..
