Months ago, I had to cancel an appointment on the day our beloved golden retriever passed away. It was an emotional, heartbreaking day, and canceling was not a decision I took lightly. Since then, I attempted to rebook verbally for a future date and called to confirm--only to be told you would no longer accept advance bookings from me. I was told I could only do same-day appointments due to "multiple cancellations." One of those was the day my dog died. The lack of empathy, understanding, or even basic professional courtesy in this situation is staggering. There was no outreach, no consideration for our long history as paying, respectful clients. Instead, I was shut out. This is not how a professional salon should treat anyone--let alone a loyal customer. I'm shocked and hurt by the cold, dismissive response I received, and I'm still waiting to hear from a manager. Thus far, we have not run into any issues. We would arrive early or on-time and the appointment would almost always start as intended. There has been one occasion in which we were 15 minutes late but they were very nice about it and were still able to fit us in. We do not have a specific hair stylist. We usually just go with whomever is available so there has been a few times in which the haircut was not the most ideal, as in slightly longer at the top and uneven buzz at the back for a men's haircut. It is not a deal-breaker and it could easily be communicated and addressed.
