After 3 years in the area, I am so delighted to share that I found the hairstylist for my family. Yena! I am a confident young mother of two, who can face the world, because of my hair. It's like my crown I love it. After giving birth to my kids 2019 & 2020, I had been suffering from severe hair loss. Hence I was in desperate need of a hair makeover. I had been coming to haircuttery for past few years, yet nobody seem to listen and understand my concern. I wanted to try short hair styles. My classic shoulder length bob cut was showing off the patches on top of my head. They kept telling me to try different hair products, but what I wanted was a new hairstyle that fits my current hair growth pattern. I am a busy mom of two toddlers , who doesn't have much time in my hand to style hair. When I would suggest something new or out of the norm, hairstylists were scared and would discourage me. One hairstylist even asked me, did you ask your husband's permission to cut your hair short. In March 2022, I was in for a haircut, hoping for a better outcome. It was a serendipitous moment when Yena received me at the reception. I started my spiel, I won't cry or complain after a haircut but I need you as a hairstylist to be courageous. I showed her couple of pixie cuts with under cut. Yena looked at the pics and worked her magic. She was attentive to my hair. She took her time, referring back to the pics. Every few minutes I would look at the mirror, my smile was getting bigger and bigger. I couldn't stop looking at myself. I was giggling. ****DO NOT USE TARA!!!**** TARA is awful! 1st time here for a haircut. TARA is rude and unprofessional! From the waiting area I saw Tara doing unprofessional hand gestures while speaking to my 16+ yr old daughter so I walked over. My daughter was in tears in the car telling me how Tara treated & spoke to her. Not sure what her problem is...hates her job, hates young people, etc? She should NOT be working there. She was rude and confrontational and wouldn't do what my daughter asked her to do, even after she showed her an online photo. My daughter ended up having to cut her own curtain bangs when we got home! Go to SANDI (manager) or HEE if you go. They have a good reputation when I asked other customers waiting. read more

Fellas, do not get a haircut at this establishment. You will get zero girls if you get a haircut from this place. I personally got a cut here once, my hair once it dried was in a square shape and I looked like an NPC. I got clowned like crazy and was even more insecure. I also mentioned my scalp got dry quickly but I still was being offered overpriced hair products. I'm happy with my new barber now who only charges me $20 read more

Had two pleasant experiences here but what happened during my last trip means I won't be coming back. Came in for two walk in haircuts about 1.5 hours till closing. I asked politely if they had room for walk ins, they said they could only take 1 of us, which is totally understandable. I was actually ready to get turned away and was just hoping for the best. I said thank you, let me sister get the cut, and took a seat. A lady had walked in behind me while I was being helped and they helped her. She said "do you have room for a haircut?" The HC worker said "do you have an appointment?" She replied, "No, my daughter would like a haircut." (Her daughter wasn't with her) and the same lady that helped me said, "Yes, we can fit her in." While I do have long hair and asked for a haircut, the workers don't even know what kind of hair the other customer's daughter has. They turned me down only to turn around and make room for another customer that came in after me. I didn't get an apology or an explanation. Rude. 0/10 establishment read more

The woman at the counter said that my above the shoulder hair length is considered long, and would need to charge me additional for my length. Picture for reference...currently growing out a bob. I'm still confused how my hair is considered long, but good to know for other clients looking at this location. read more

Went here wanting a trim because my hair was getting a little long and the lady practically shaved my head. Disappointing. Not going back.

I called and made an appointment for 9am. I got there 5 minutes before 9am and this lady (without any smile) told me to wait in the waiting room. I waited another 10 more minutes and in the meantime, there were two more customers walked in at 9am and they were seated to be serviced. I sat there in the waiting room for another 10min but no one came so I told them to cancel my 9am appointment and walked out. It was very bad customer service. Nope just nope! Don't waste your money. I went in on Valentine's Day for a simple wash and blow dry. She was pulling my hair while attempting to use a large round brush to dry my hair. The stylist had trouble handling my hair length and I left with the back of my hair still wet. I was very disappointed and extremely frustrated. I will never be back. read more

Ladies I am posting on my husbands account but I wanted to let everyone know that today I Visited Tara at the Hair Cuttery on Heathcote Blvd. Tara did a phenomenal job. You see, I had a very bad experience with a stylist in Warrenton. The stylist in Warrenton had over processed my hair to the point that it was breaking & left me with 3 different shades of blonde ranging from ash to an orangish color. Tara fixed the color and restored it & helped the texture of the hair. Not to mention she was able to provide the hair cut that was very flattering. My hair felt so soft and looked awesome. I highly recommend you visit this location and ask for Tara, she takes the time to explain every step in the process. She has an extremely high work ethic. read more

I like to come to Hair Cuttery for hair washes. All the others wash it twice and then use conditioner. This one was empty asked if I had a appointment. Gave me a hard time over just a hair wash. Washed it once with cold water. And did in in under a minute. Said it would be extra to blow dry and conditioner. I will skip this one next time. read more

I am not from this area. I found this place by chance. I did a walk-in and they were about to close so I scheduled an app for the following day. I must have misunderstood or the girl scheduling my appointment did because I came in the next day when my app was scheduled for next week. I had my hair done by Sandra yesterday and she was amazing. I have a TON of mid-back length THICK hair and she stripped out the blue/black I did myself (genius) and then dyed it back to my natural brown. After that epic task, she also cut it and gave me a gorgeous blow out. Over 4 hours dealing with my hair, and she was so sweet and kind during every moment. Every single stylist there was so sweet and professional. AND they gave me the package deal which was actually affordable. Any other salon in the area would have charged me $400 + for everything she did. (It was all A LOT less than that) I will be back for every single trim and grey touch up in the future. I've been to Nichole 3 or 4 times and she is excellent! I initially had a bad experience with a stylist who is no longer there and when I called the salon to launch my complaint, Nichole was very empathetic and had great bedside manner, made no excuses and offered to see me the very next day during a snow day free of charge.
