This was my first visit to this salon and it worked out really well. I met with Tam for an initial consultation for a haircut. He explained the process thoroughly and what would work best for me. My hair was dry and damaged from the flat iron but he removed most of the damaged parts from the hair and it looks so much healthier now. Every two weeks I look forward to my much needed "me time" at Presley Laurent. I get my nails done with Kelly. No complaints ever! Recently, I went to see Tau. Both do wonderful jobs. I tend to walk on the wild side willing to try the newest trends. Both Tau and especially Kelly are willing to take the walk with me. From rhinestones, wild colors, and dangling nail rings Kelly will do it. Prices are comparable to other nail salons in the area, but the friendliness, atmosphere, and decor out shines the others I've gone to hands down!!! I made the earliest appointment I could here because I needed to get a mani/pedi before heading out of town. The place opens at 10 and I arrived at 9:53. I picked out my colors and was told to be seated while I wait. Around 10:15 I asked when I would be able to be seen and they took me back to the chair where I soaked my feet and waited for another 5 minutes and then asked someone passing by when someone would be able to start because I'm on a tight schedule today and was debating just leaving right then and there. The woman ended up coming out and semi apologizing for being late, then rushed through my mani/pedi to make up for lost time. The services rendered were a little sloppy and my gel mani only lasted 4 days. I feel like I did not get what I paid for here. It was rushed, unprofessional, and will probably not be back. read more

I really loved my experience at Presley Laurent. I was walking by and decided to make an appointment for a manicure and a blowout the next day. They were really accommodating! I ended up also getting a brow wax, which turned out great and I loved the chairs they have in that room. It was much more comfortable than most salons. Afterwards I had a consult with the woman that owns the place and she pointed me in the right direction for my manicure. I loved how she took her time and paid attention to the small details when she did my nails. The whole process was really clean and enjoyable--it's nice to have a conversation when you're having your nails done! Afterwards her husband gave me my blowout, the whole time giving me tips and tricks to keep it looking nice for my bridal shower the next day. He made some recommendations and I walked out of there feeling great! I was offered a beverage and was kept comfortable for the short amount of time I waited, and I can just say that overall I really liked the experience. One of my favorite things about it is that it is BOTH a hair and nail salon--not just a hair salon that will accommodate a manicure or two. The salon is set up with a circular layout in the middle, with several nail stations and up-to-date technology. It was very neat and clean in there. On the outside circle were the hair setups, and it was nice to get my hair done in some natural light--there are windows everywhere. Overall I have to say it's my new favorite place! I am writing this in the hope that people who read the reviews will find help with my experiences. My son went to get a perm, however it wasn't how he wanted and the backside of his hair was uneven, messy, and short. My son and I came in the next day to have his hair fixed up, but the owner (Asian man) started yelling and pointing fingers saying he didn't know anything. They ( Asian man& his wife-Kelly) made me angry and I was then told me to calm down. They don't care to listen to what I have to say, and only care about themselves. They are unaware of their rudeness and bad manners. They don't know how to apologize for what they do wrong. It was a very bad experience . The customer care is terrible. I came across some bad reviews about this store on Google. As I read the contents, I knew that I had experienced the discomfort and disrespect they felt. They ( Asian man &Kelly) upset customers before they take care of customers who want to complain about the service. Instead of apologizing for their mistakes, they drive as if their customers were wrong. Be careful. T*R*I*S*T*I*N Tristin is the bomb! I've been going to her for 8 years and she is undoubtedly the best stylist I have ever had. I'm extremely loyal once a stylist does a great job and she had me at hello! Shes young, gorgeous, funny, real deal genuine person who cares about her clients. When it comes to color, shes a mad scientist who can do the normal highlights to the coolest and trendiest colors. She has even made up a color or two for me over the years. Shes been the ONLY colorist to EVER get all of the brassy undertones out of my blonde and leave me with a true platinum. Her haircuts are outstanding. She shows each time how much she understands your hair, your lifestyle, and is truly imaginative when it comes to knowing what will look the best on you. I would love to leave more stars because the haircut Kelly (I think that was her name) did was AWESOME, but she butchered my bangs for the holidays and it looked like those classic pictures of toddlers getting a hold of scissors and cutting a set of bangs on themselves. It was actually hilarious and a great story, but omgosh! Definitely make sure to have them cut longer than you like and then take little bits off. I'm actually amazed at all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, this was arguably the worst color job I've ever received in my life. I thought about calling and having a manager fix it, but quite honestly I really don't know if I could trust anyone from this salon touching my hair. Let's start at the beginning. First off the stylist (using that term very loosely) was 15 minutes late. That was rude. No one really apologized to me for this either. When she did get there I showed her several pictures on my phone. I also said I want subtle blended blonde highlights, something very natural looking. She said full highlights and low lights. I agreed as this was usually what I had done to my hair in some capacity, although I had been getting balayage at my previous salon. The results were frightening . I could tell after it got washed that it was extremely streaky and the "highlights" were uneven and spotty. There were dark low lights in front of my face and horrible bleach blonde streaks at the back of my head. It looked like I crawled out of the rock of love tour bus. This would have been bad enough but the streaks were not toned or processed correctly. They were orange! I couldn't even wear my hair up without a hat it was so embarassing! I feel like it would be really nasty for me to call out the individual who did my hair, but I would highly recommend that anyone who does decide to use this salon please make sure the person doing your hair ONLY does hair and isn't really a nail tech in disguise!!!! Review edit: I have bumped this review up a star because I did receive a very nice call from management offering to amend my services. I have since had my hair fixed elsewhere so I will not be taking them up on this offer. I think my particular experience was probably an isolated one in an otherwise decent salon, but I plan on leaving my review online as my hair was severely damaged and colored very poorly, and I TRULY do not want this to happen to anyone else. I hope that management evaluates the skills and education of the stylists in the salon and provides training and continuing education where necessary. I also recommend to other potential patrons that you do research on a stylist before booking an appointment. She knew that is my first time for mani, I picked out my color and showed her 6 manicure model to her she accompanied me to my chair and said me show pictures to lady too, I did that and i said 3 times more to lady that is my first time for manicure, when it was time to color she asked me for French and I asked do you used 2 colors ( I means blue and white) she said yes. But she did just French and used the powder on it, when I asked about the second color( blue one) she said it's 2 color, I said but you don't use the blue one and i said I thought you were using both colors, she was very upset and said sadly and frowning I told you and you said yes yes yes. She went twice and talked to another woman and told me I should remove again ( I dont know they talk about me or no) *once to her boss, I told her 4 times that I like this color but just add some design on it and showed the picture to her again and point to design but she was mad and do it her job( remove 2 fingers) I told to her don't remove it I like it just add some design( again) she talk to her boos and come back again (*) her boss was the friendly lady that stay in front desk, she talk to me I told again I like it but just add some design ( I told her I said this to lady but she remove) she showed me some pictures and I choose one, the boos show the picture to her and said again she like this manicure don't remove that just add this design she said ok but remove all of them but really clean( Eight fingers that she had not wiped) she ask afew questions and I don't hear 2 times I move my chair near to her ( beside her window) and I said excuse me, can you please say again I didn't hear you? SHe shook her head and said uff okay never answered me also after that I went and talk to her boss and she told me she can do it again but I didn't accept. she wasn't nice, she lost her customer, money and time I never came back again to this salon for anything. The purpose of my review is not to bash this woman, or this salon, but to inform others of the experience I just had here. Yesterday I got my haircut by Anne (not sure of the correct spelling), and it is absolutely not what I requested at all. I brought in 3 pictures of the same haircut - and emphasized that I did not want much length off the bottom- just layers to make my hair not so heavy. She seemed to understand, so she sends me back to get my hair washed by another girl and I wait about 10 minutes for anyone to notice me. I finally get back to her chair for my haircut and she holds about an inch of my hair in her fingers and asks if "this is an ok length to cut?" I said yes, but no more than that. She proceeds to chop 2 inches off, and then another inch during the "layering" process. I kept repeating "wow.....this is really short...." but she just kept going. The lack of communication was super disappointing. I immediately noticed her technique was not what I was used to. She didn't section my hair off, which scared me because I have very thick hair and there was no way she could be precise without doing so. She also parted my hair in the middle for the entire haircut, causing one side of layers to be shorter than the other (I'm a side parter). My layers are not even at all. Another thing that really bothered me is when she blow dried my hair, she didn't use any hair product OR heat protectant beforehand. I feel if I am paying $60 for a haircut, there should be SOMETHING used to protect and style my hair. I had to ask for some hairspray before leaving so that my curls didn't fall out in the wind. All in all, my haircut is not at all what I requested. It was a really disappointing experience and I won't be back. read more

I recently had my eyebrows done using the microblading technique. Kelley sat down with me and explained the process and what to expect. She was thorough and let me know what to pay attention to as far as after care. I had my touch-up after six weeks and love my eyebrows. She was great choosing a shape and color that would match my skin tone! Throughout the healing process she checked in with me and asked for pictures to see the progress. Decided Sunday was the day for a change. Found Presley's on Google and decided to give them a call. They were able to fit me in at noon and I am soooo happy I opted to try this place. The salon was beautifully decorated and super clean! The young lady at the front was very nice, knowledgeable and an enjoyment to talk too. Holly Nguyen was my hair stylist and I only have wonderful things to say about her. She took my thoughts and turned my old dried long waves into beautiful soft kinky curls! Holly gave me excellent advice on how to style my new look and keep it fresh. I loved my experience and she is the best! This place is a hidden gem!! I wish I found this sooner before moving away. The salon is spacious and CLEAN! There are plenty of pedicure chairs and they are spaced out perfectly so that you don't feel on top of the people next to you. Kelly did my mani/pedi and eyebrow wax - everything was amazing minus the massage. She took great care of my toes and even got out my ingrown toenails. My feet have never felt so soft!! The massage was way too soft and short - and the rubber gloves against skin doesn't feel so great either. My manicure was absolutely perfect! She took the time to make sure my gel polish was sealed with the top coat and she didn't get any on my skin! My eyebrows look great - not shaped by at least they aren't a mess like they were! The price was reasonable and the big bonus - THEY SPEAK ENGLISH and do NOT talk amongst themselves in their language so you don't feel awkward and you can actually understand them when they speak to you and they are well mannered too! I will definitely come back here when I am in town. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I don't get my hair cut or colored often because of bad experiences and my experience here has justified this fear of mine. I went in with long hair that I have been trying to grow out for YEARS and was in need of a trim and I decided to get crazy and get an ombré too. The girl cutting my hair cut 4 INCHES off. I kept saying it's too short and I was visibly unhappy but she kept saying it's not short and it's looking good. She dismissed all of my complaints and when the manager saw, he took over but it was too late. My hair is just past my shoulders now and completely butchered. My "ombré" turned out even worse. It's yellow. Unblended. Choppy. Completely unlike the picture I showed my colorist, Tim, who was apparently an expert in the ombré field. It looks like trash. I could've dipped half my head in bleach over my kitchen sink and it would look exactly as it does now. Every aspect of my visit besides maybe the conversation and the shampooing was completely pitiful. They offered their services free of charge and scheduled me an appointment tomorrow where they promised to fix their mess free of charge, but I don't care. This is the worst salon experience I've ever had. Please save your hair, time, and money by going literally ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

Bad service from Kelly, she is at the front desk and really rude. She should take customer service classes. They have good stylist but the person at the front desk turns people off. First time I went in for a pedicure she was just rude and said they did not have time to see me, but did not ask or offer other times. Second time, I went in because I like Tristan, she is a hair stylist and she had done my hair at a different location. Kelly would not give me an appointment unless I told her what color I wanted. I explained I wanted to speak to Tristan for a recommendation but she started to get loud and said she could not book me until I chose a color. I was in this past weekend with my mom to get a gel manicure. We had made an appt and my technician was 15 min late, which is ironic because they have canceled my appt in the past for being 7 minutes late. The technician did not even apologize and later told me he was not aware i had made an appt. Additionally, all of my nails started to peel the next day. So, I have had two opportunities to indulge at PLS. The staff is very friendly and I've never had to wait past my appointment time. The first time was for waxing, brows and bikini. Excellent! Very clean with no double dipping. I'm picky about both and my preferences were followed to the letter with a smile and very little discomfort. My second trip was for a pedicure and gel manicure. My nails turned out okay, but the pedicure not so much. My polish chipped within a few days, which has never happened to me for any pedicure. He also nicked me on the cuticle trim and left skin only partially exfoliated. After I showered that night, I had to break out my amope to finish the job! Not cool! I'll definitely return for waxing, but not for the mani pedi. read more

I went in on Saturday after I had made an appt for the afternoon. Upon walking in, it's clean and nicely designed. All of the people working there were very kind and friendly. I really enjoyed my manicure/pedicure. It was probably the best spa pedicure that I've ever gotten. Johnny did my mani/pedi and I wouldn't hesitate to return to him. He was very thorough with my feet, very friendly and did a nice polish. My manicure was nice and the polish held up well. My only big complaint is that the brand of polish I chose isn't awesome. I had never used it before, I've actually never seen it before. It is almost too thin, so my toenails don't look as awesome as they do a week after a pedicure and could probably use a polish change. I've never had that happen before. I also wish they had vinylux as an option and not just Gel. I did like the salon a lot, though, and will return again. read more

I've been going to Tam for many years now. I have very long blonde hair and not once has he ever complained (or charged more) for the time and patience it takes to put in the highlights. He is exceptional at focusing on long term hair care and even seasonality, and I often get compliments on the cut and color. His new Salon is a little bit of a trek for an Alexandrian like myself but I definitely think it's worth the trip. The place is in a great new shopping center and the salon even offers other services like manis and pedis. There are a ton of pedi chairs here which makes it good for groups. I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for an experienced hair stylist and great overall customer experience. read more

I really enjoyed my pedicure, it was my first time here. But, I was really disappointed that I paid extra for the "spa pedicure" and was never asked if I wanted a drink or snack etc. Whereas the teengers right next to me whom were getting a regular pedicure got asked and were taken care of. I was a little annoyed by that. Also, I was early for my appointment, and they seemed happy by that, but the womN rushed through the polishing and never even put a top coat on.
