After all it takes a lot of trust to have someone cut and style your hair that really understands the look and feel you are wanting. Marisa did a beautiful job! Since my regular hair stylist was not available, I decided to give this hair salon a try again. I went there before few years ago. I waited about 15 minutes which I understood as it was a last minute appointment. I wanted my gray roots to be covered for picture day at work. For me, trust is a huge factor especially for my hair looks. With that said, the hair stylist did not give me a sense of my 100% trust that the end result I will be satisfied. I was still willing to give her a chance. Yet, what turned me off and want to cancel my appointment is her coworker. She a nasty look and just gave me the wrong vibes. I was not comfortable staying in the same space as her.I did tip the hairstylist as it is not her fault for me canceling the appointment. I did receive a call from the owner. I'm typing this as I'm leaving this salon... I'm so happy, excited, grateful and in love with this place I just couldn't wait to share this with everyone! I got a Brazilian blowout for the very first time and so far it looks great. I now I still have to wait to see results but as of right now I guess I'm rating mostly based on my experience. People were super nice, friendly and polite. Jasmine was my hair stylist and not only is she gorgeous but she was super honest with what I wanted for my hairs vs what it needed. (I experimented with my hair 2 days ago by highlighting red with store bought cheap stuff.... Big mistake....). Oksana did an AMAZING job on my hair! It's been looking rough after a bad bleach/dye job. She took the time to do a full consultation, laid out a few different options for me to consider, and talked through step by step what the process would look like. I opted for a full balayage so it took some time, but she always checked in to make sure I was comfortable and updated me every step of the way. Amanda also gave me a super relaxing scalp massage which almost put me to sleep As for COVID procedures, they did a great job keeping the place clean and sanitized. The salon chairs are spaced out and there is plexiglass between each wash station. Everyone had masks on the whole time. Overall this is a wonderful salon and I'm excited to go back! read more

Parking was easy, the location was 10 minutes from the Haymarket area. The shop was clean with an up beat vibe & welcoming staff. I got a beautiful haircut and color here, I just don't like they way they price the services. You sit down and tell the stylist what you want, She/he vanishes into the back to do some calculating, and then after an extended wait they return to tell you how much it will be for each part of the service that day. It makes you feel like you are dickering over a used car or getting prices for an airline ticket. For me it is very off-putting. They do magic with hair. And they are expensive - three $$$, not two as shown on Yelp. But I prefer a more relaxing salon experience with set prices and no pre-service debates. read more

I would have left my review as is; however, the owner of this company has been completely inappropriate! She cannot take a review as it is, move on and do better next time. She has "researched" my life, harassed my family and then posted personal details about me on her response. I am appalled that a business owner would behave this way. If you write a review saying you didn't love everything she does she cannot handle the feedback. Beware people of yelp. If you want someone to not only do a less than mediocre job on your hair but also stalk you and your family, then you should go here immediately! Actually, the same man did my highlights since 1998 because he was quick and had the ability to make them look natural. Today, Tara surprised me with great highlights. I couldn't be happier. Yelp helped me find this place & I called & talked to Clyde I told him my dilemma and he told me to come in immediately. I was greeted by him & he also brought me a fresh cappuccino! Clyde made sure I was matched with a stylist who fit my needs and not just the first available appointment. The salon is beautiful, I'm always offered a freshly made latte or water, and they have a great assortment of hair care products. Betsy has been my stylist for several months now and I'm always impressed by the level of attention she gives me. I have stubborn gray but you'd never know it! I really hate to write bad reviews, but I have to because I don't want the same thing happening to the next person. I called the salon to try to make a last minute appointment and they first told me no, but then I could hear the owner in the background saying to take the appointment and that she would just do it. Once I got there things seemed promising. The owner talked to me about what I wanted and I showed her about 5 pictures of what I wanted and even read her an article about how to get that hairstyle. My hair hardly grows and so I always make sure that hair dresses know exactly what I want. The whole time the owner was cutting my hair she was talking to other people and trying to schmooze with other people. She constantly kept saying to me "Sorry what did you say" because I would be talking and she would just start talking to someone else. How rude... Then she asked me to flip my hair over to dry it, which I think is kind of tacky. But the worst thing was that my hair was longer than it ever has been and she cut it to a point where my hair was above my shoulders not even touching my back. I couldn't put it up at all. She then curled it in a way that looked very 90's. I told her that I didn't expect it to be as short as it was and she said that she didn't think it was going to bounce up that much. My hair is EXTREMELY thin....of course it's going to bounce up. As soon as I left and got in the car with my husband, I started bawling and cried for about an hour after that. read more

My gipsy life for hair salon has ended. Finally found a great place for cut, color, pampered, chat, drinks! Price is average and color wait time and deep conditioning treatment wait time was bit long but I still love the results! Asian hair can be tricky to cut and dye, especially I have done coloring myself so many times. But she was able to match the color I had, which is a huge plus! My little humble suggestion... quick 5 seconds of shoulder massage will be great after shampooing? The owner of this salon was very cheerful and she definitely will love to get to know u! Parking is plenty but GPS will probably take you to the back of the building so make sure you turn right as soon as to enter the corridor. It's between Chinese restaurant and dry cleaner. read more

I walked in to set an appointment after reading the great reviews for Three Ways. I was first greeted by Clyde, who was very gracious and listened to all of my concerns. He went to the back and brought Brooke and Oksana out to talk to me. They did a consultation on the spot and discussed what they could do. I have long grey/blonde hair and needed highlights to blend them together for a smooth grow out. At another salon when asked for grey/blonde highlights I ended up with hair with a teal cast. Thus the reason I wanted someone experienced with grey hair. Brooke is the manager and she took the time to listen and be sympathetic to the issues I had at other salons. She was very patient and professional. Oksana was the stylist who highlighted and cut my hair. She was super friendly and did a phenomenal job. Overall the experience was tremendous. I was seen on the spot although I had just come in to set an appointment. I was treated like family or a long time client. They were all patient, warm and friendly. I was offered a much needed glass of Pinot on a Friday afternoon. The salon pricing was very reasonable for this area. At check out Clyde recommended and offered a couple of free samples. When the internet was down and Clyde couldn't get me checked out he said he'd call me later to get my card via the phone. Instead I decided to come back the next day to pay. Very refreshing that they were comfortable enough to trust me on my first visit. As Brooke put it, I'm now part of their salon family! Obviously I highly recommend this place.
