I write this as I sit here waiting for my daughter to get a haircut. We came here because we were able to get a last minute appointment as my daughter needed one and our normal salon didn't have any appointments soon. Online appointment making is a plus. The staff is friendly, in fact I brought my son in to undo an unfortunate bowl cut that he got at sports clips a few weeks ago. However I am not sure I'll be back with her for this reason. So they're charging her $28 for a haircut and that's completely reasonable. But unfortunately that doesn't include blow drying her hair. I asked how much it would be to blow dry and it's $64!!!! The salon we go to is an upscale salon and I pay close to $50 but it includes cut and style with a blow dry. I consider this a budget friendly type of salon and I'm just stunned that to blow dry hair after a cut would more than double my price. I even asked to clarify - just to blow dry would make it $64. They were like yes, sorry. So she's gonna leave here wet cause I just can't fathom paying that. I'm beyond stunned. I just hope her hair looks okay when we leave cause it will be wet. read more

I went onto the website to schedule an appointment a week in advance. I wanted a cut & color so I chose the appropriate "package" which said $114. When I arrived, I was asked to sign a release form (which was new to me but 'ok no problem'), then my stylist and I chose my color (great) & then I was told that my service for today would cost $174!!!!! Apparently there are hidden costs for long hair (which I wouldn't say I have), and blow drying "wavy" hair! All to the tune of $60 extra dollars! I don't think so Hair Cuttery. Gix your website! I was a walk-in at the Hair Cuttery at the High Pointe Commons, Rickie was my stylist and she did a great job cutting my hair and trimming my beard. Rickie was friendly and very accommodating and did a great job. I would recommend this young lady to anybody looking for a great haircut. WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE Haircut looks nothing like the picture I showed my stylist. The "curtain bangs" she did looked more like a bobcut in the front. Clearly does not know what she is doing and hope she does not completely destroy anybody else's hair. The blowout was so poorly done and the cut was very uneven and very choppy. She was extremely lost that another stylist had to come help her out, I was extremely disappointed with this haircut and I am NEVER coming back to this place again. I have NEVER had a bad experience at this salon in my 3+ years of going until today. My stylist didn't consult me on how I wanted my brows and turned my full brows into pencil lines and trimmed the rest down so short I have to fill my brows for the first time in my life. I had plenty of pictures of my own styled hair and Pinterest photos to show how I wanted my style. And I had to stop her from doing the back of my head in a stacked cut. I never said I wanted stacked, none of the photos are stacked. Hair turned out fine but I'm just so frustrated over my brows. The blue color still has not "lightened up" (more of a midnight blue), the "pink" isn't pink enough, "pink" color is coming out already (after 2 weeks) and for the $249 plus tip is not worth what I received. I will NEVER come to this salon again. I was told it would look better in a few washes and it looks worse. I would rather get my money back for a terrible coloring. I can say with confidence that I will never be returning to this location ever again. I've been getting my hair cut by Hair Cuttery stylists for years and they have always used thinning shears with no problem, so I never had a reason to suspect anything could go wrong. Today was a nightmare. When my hair cut was done, I saw that an ENTIRE LAYER of my hair was chopped so short, as the thinning shears were used very close to my scalp. You can see the short hairs sticking up no matter what I do. I went to the Enola HC to see if anything could be done to fix or hide it but unfortunately there was not. I am now going to have to wait months for the short parts to grow back and it is so incredibly humiliating. read more

Unethical- additional fees were NOT brought up before services began. An extra fee for "long hair" was not mentioned until AFTER I had already gotten my hair shampooed. I won't be back. I'm not interested in having to regrow odd, unblended layers *yet again* in the front just to get the actual haircut I wanted nor am I interested in having additional fees sprung on me after I'm already on the hook for services rendered. read more

This place seems to be busy all day long, but with good reason. The hair stylists are friendly and do an excellent job cutting hair from what I observed as I was getting mine done. My stylist was very professional and worked with me to get the look I wanted, and even suggested doing a few things that would make it look even better. Even though I had to be charged extra for having long hair, I was told this up front, and she even suggested a package deal for me, so I felt as though I got a fair deal.
