Feeling a little low lately because it's hard for me to do much with post-op shoulder. So I went to Hair Cuttery in Lakeland near the CMX movie theater and my stylist was MACY. I was so unbelievably excited to get my hair done. Showed her an inspo pic she assured me that she could accomplish it. Needless to say I left crying, devastated and still had to pay for the service. Macy was very passive aggressive and simply said "you can call my manager and see if she can fix it!" They let me walk out of there crying and upset. Because my hair was longer on one side than the other after she already cut five inches off and I didn't notice it till I got home, I went to Great Clips over here near Pipkin and Florida and Amanda fixed my haircut she was so sweet and she made the cut cute. Short but cute . My hair is super short but at least hair will grow back. I have to wait a while to fix the color because whatever this stylist did damaged my hair pretty significantly so as I sit here with a conditioning treatment on my head I thought that I would write this to warn anyone that was thinking about going to the Hair Cuttery in Lakeland by the cmx theater you might want to reconsider! ​​ read more

Too many issues with staff being disrespectful to clients and each other. Bickering amongst staff seems to be the norm. The most recent example of disrespect is changing my stylist without telling me. The change was made in the system 90 minutes prior to my appointment. They didn't call to tell me about the change. If they had, I could have canceled and been able to better use my time. Instead, an hour of my time is being wasted driving to and from an appointment they didn't keep. read more

Worse salon EVER! Had an appt with the location in Lakeland, FL. for today. Mgr Kaitlin called me Friday, 2 days ago, to tell me my stylist no longer worked there. Today I get a call they have no perm solution! Give me a break! Kaitlin didn't check that last week? They just didn't want to give me the measly 15% off discount. What a crappy place they are. Took my son for a haircut. He came out looking like a lopsided coconut with uneven hair in the front and nothing cut in the back. Told her his hair was not cut even, and she kept blaming the cow licks on his head when his hair lays flat in the front. My son has been completely embarrassed by this horrible cut. I had my hair colored at a Hair Cuttery and I thought it looked to dark. I waited for it to fade and wash out then scheduled to have colored again. I told hair stylist I wanted it lighter and she told me that the ends should not be bleached due to my hair condition. I get that however ended up with darker hair again after picking a lighter shade and telling me it would be lighter. I'm disappointed read more

I impulsively went into this salon for a color change. Im sure I was confusing to my stylist because I came in with few ideas about what I wanted, I just knew that I wanted my hair lighter blonde than the orange mess I had previously. The stylists there were so patient and kind, working tediously on my hair for more than 5 hours straight. The whole time I was unsure about the color, but my stylist kept being supportive and responsive until I was happy. When I left, I wasn't sure how I felt about the new shade of blonde and the haircut I was given. However, I'm actually so in love with it now and could not recommend a greater salon. I've been going here for over a year now and every time, the haircuts are literal perfection, from pixie to blunt bob. Check this place out!! read more

Hair was cut a inch and half shorter than I picture I showed the stylists. I have gone to Joelle for quite a while now. I have zero complaints. Joelle is professional, friendly and knows her stuff! Joelle has always gone out of her way to make sure she can get me in when I need a cut. I wear my hair short so I need a cut often. She always does a great job and listens. I asked for a partial foil and the stylist forgot to attend to my roots. My hair looks worse now than when I entered the salon. I'm shocked and frustrated. $150 for them to ruin my hair. They are nice people but the money is not worth the low quality haircut and styling you receive. read more

I used to go to this salon for over 6 years and I have had multiple experiences with this salon. At first, it was shaky then it slowly got better. It didn't get better until Natalie (manager) was there for a while and service beyond excellent. A few weeks ago, she left the company due to employees harassing and bullying her due to race, religion, and how she wanted to live her life. I went there a few days ago to get a normal wash because my hair was a mess after using an expired product. I was hesitant going because Natalie and I had grown close but needed to get it done. I went and got through it okay but felt awkward the whole time. Joelle and Amber are the 2 employees who are left and have been rude, unprofessional, and starting rumors about coworkers and customers. Joelle and Amber have zero character, zero remorse or values. They are 2 people who don't deserve their jobs. Customer service is lacking in this establishment and they should be terminated after how they have demonstrated zero value to the communities or customers. read more

I am 100% pleased with my experience with Hailey. She fixed a haircut that I had earlier in the week at another salon and did a beautiful job. She listened closely to what I wanted and was able to recommend a styling product that would work for my style. I will be returning to have her cut my hair again and have already recommended her to others. read more

I had an appointment for 4 o'clock. I was getting color. I got there and sat for 30 minutes, before a lady came to me saying, "Are you just trying to get your roots done?" I said, "Yes." She says, "You won't believe this, but we don't have any black dye. Would you like to come back tomorrow?" I said, "No." I truly believe that no one in the shop was comfortable coloring my Afro-textured hair. I happened to be walking by the next day and there was a Black lady in there doing hair. That's why I needed to come back the next day. Because that was when the Black lady would be there to do Black people's hair. Next time, just say you're not comfortable doing the person's hair. Say, "I'm afraid I may not be able to do you hair like you want." They'll have more respect for you being truthful rather than the lie you conjured up. read more

Honestly not good hair stylists.... I asked for this and they gave me this. I wanted a straight blunt cut... They cut my hair so that it flips out and I've never had that before.... also did my wash and cut in like 12 minutes... do not recommend. also I got this cut a while ago at another hair Cuttery in south tampa and it was perfect. read more

I treated my 21 year old daughter to a make over for Christmas, my husband to a cut and myself to a double dimension (color and highlights)and both my daughter and I to brow waxing (total of 130 for me 45 for my daughter and 25 for my husband). We are all happy with our services between Travis, Michelle and Hilda they treated us well and we're all very kind. We drove 1 1/2 hrs because we haven't found a stylist in our town were happy with, we'll be back here again for sure! I only wish my daughter's hair had more layers (hard to tell there are any). Travis even offered to cut my husband's hair shorter (because he over heard my daughter and I talking... We couldn't decide if we wanted it shorter) that was very kind of him since my husband had his hair cut probably an hour before I was finished with my color and cut! Over all a great experience, only wish they were closer to our home! read more

Just moved to Lakeland and needed a trim and highlight. Told stylist that I wanted same color(s) just refreshed with blonde and lowlights. I got bronze/orange all over!!!!!!!!! Of course this was not acceptable so she offered to add more blonde.. results were not good. Still allover color and not my definition of highlights. Spoke with manager, "Michelle" and she added about 5 foils of lowlights just on top. It is a partial fix, but her attitude was that of indifference, no apology, no "geez we're sorry that happened." Would have liked more lowlights to fix the all-over "reddish" but apparently it was a quick fix for her. Will not be going back. It was also VERY expensive. Now back to the tedious task of finding a good stylist in my area for a decent price. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and I love this place! The stylists are good and don't take long to do your hair! Also, they are really on top of sanitizing and cleaning things after usage! The only thing I don't like about this place is how they are always running late! The last couple of times I've been coming, they are always running late on schedule! I've tried a few salons since I've moved here, but have received the best cuts and color from Jaclyn at this location. I stopped going anywhere else, and this is saying alot since I normally don't go to the same stylist twice, but have been going to her for over 2 years now. Since she is a master stylist, one must call to make an appt with her, but she is worth it. read more

Hair stylist messed up my hair and told me that she wouldn't charge me that day for something I wasn't happy with, but that I could come in a different day so she could fix it. I agreed and then she changed her mind and said she would charge me to hold my next appointment? Not sure how that works. I paid that day and never came back. Why would I want to? Horrible! Shelby did my hair she was to cut and color as well as add some highlights. She over processed my hair which resulted in it falling out. As I turned in the chair to tell her for the fifth time to check my hair because I was afraid It was over processing half of my foils fell to the floor just from turning my head. I explained in detail that I take medication and my hair processes very quickly she promised me she would watch my hair closely. She tried to charge me 2 1/2 times what was listed on the price sheet. I I asked her if it was fair for her to charge me that much money when number one the price sheet says different and number to my hair fell out.
