So when we came home the hairstyle was horrid the simple long haircut was uneven longer on one side than the other and totally overcharged $35 for this mess at which I have to go back now and have it straightened out read more

I am very dissatisfied by Gina's work. I asked for two inches off of my original length and small layers at the bottom so it didn't look choppy (I have very thick hair). As she finished my cut, I was slightly worried after seeing how much of my hair was on the floor and asked if she wouldn't mind blow drying it. She did not have time to so I did not get to see the final product before leaving the salon. I went home to blow dry it myself and it looked AWFUL. It looked like she just cut two layers. The top layer looked like a bad bowl cut and the bottom layer looked like a rat tail. I could have done a better job myself. I went back to get it fixed (a different stylist did it this time) and the only way to even it out was to cut the bottom layer as short as the top. It still does not look completely even in the back because i didn't want to go any shorter. This 2 inch cut off my hair turned into a TERRIBLE bob. No one could pay me to get a haircut like this and I paid them 31 dollars. It is really unbelievable that she is allowed to do this. I have added a before photo, an inb photo, and a "fixed" photo. I forgot to add: While getting the original cut, Gina was rolling her eyes at the elderly woman being helped next to me. She rolled her eyes every time the lady misheard her stylist and made comments about being able to smell her hair from across the salon. read more

Today I tried the Hair Cuttery based off the reviews I asked for Brenda. Luckily, she had a cancellation and I got a same day appointment. She was very nice, kind and patient. She listened very carefully and made recommendations. I appreciated that plus she did not try to sell me up on anything. She told me the prices beforehand. I liked that too. I am very, very happy with the cut and color that she did. I will definitely be back to see her. The salon itself is 'no frills', very basic but very clean. I found the prices higher than I expected considering it's very 'no frills' as I said. All the staff seem to get along and support each other. I found it a happy atmosphere to be in. I will be back for Brenda definitely but I wish the prices were lower considering the place has no luxurious booths or coffee stations as in many other salons. My hair cut which was a trim. I wanted to get just the roots. Normally I go to Rose but she was on vacation, SO i was told to go see Ron. THE manager. I had no way to know that when you ask for anyone You pay their Prices Which is SO much higher than anyone else. I thought that a trim and roots should not cost me more than around 80.00 . WELL to my It cost me $149.00 and I did not have any change and HE Said he did not have change for 20.00 bill So he Ron got a big tip of 20.00. I wanted to tell you. I will NOT ever come back there again. I do miss Rose cause she is very sweet and I like the way she cuts hair, but Because he OVERCHARGED ME.. I will not be back. I did not know that if you ask for a certain person that they must take advantage of the person they do hair with.. This price was outragous and for that They Lost My business. I WILL be sure to tell all my friends how much of a rip off they all are here.. WHEN JOSEPF WAS THERE.. he never charged me for the cut more than 50.00 I was satisfied thats why i went back.. This will teach others a valuable lesson, when I did speak to the young woman when i called for the appointment she told me it willnot cost me more than 100.00 for the roots, I was amazed at such a rip off your company does to others.. For me, #selfcare looks like delicious dinners and over priced coffee. Face masks and new shoes? Not so much. So when it comes to my hair cuts, I'm not picky, I don't prioritize. And in fact it's usually only cut for special occasions like a vacation. Which is why, the last time I had my hair cut was in January for a trip to San Fran, and the next time I get it cut will be in October for a friends wedding in Texas. When it comes time to get that cut, I will be taking my mangy head to Hair Cuttery. The best thing about Hair Cuttery is that it's no apt necessary. Which is perfect for a gal like me who flies by the seat of her pants. I've been to many locations in my life and this particular salon is definitely on the more average side for me. Things you can expect from HC in general: Value Ease Affordability Zero frills At this location in particular you might not even get a chatty stylist and you probably won't be offered water or anything like that. For me these aren't important factors to a hair cut. (I think this means I'm much lower maintenance than one might presume based off the number of selfies that exist on the internet.) But please don't get me wrong I like al the people I've interacted with here, they're generally friendly and all work quite swiftly. It's a solid Hair Cuttery and pretty well kept. Hair Cutterys are slowly starting to open again, if you aren't tied to any stylists in particular and you're just looking for some simple highlights and a trim I totally recommend a HC. read more

I had a great experience; as a former stylist, I was nervous but can't keep up my long bleached hair anymore. Brenda knew just what I wanted & did a beautiful full head of foil H/L, w/the perfect toner and the Olaplex treatment really made a difference. I even purchased this product to get my hair frizz & breakage under control. I live alone so I was a little chatterbox & she's a good listener. We were talking about hair & everything else under the sun. The other women were busy & friendly as well. I got the impression there's a good comeraderi in the salon so it was just an all around great afternoon. Expect to wait. Poor organization and poor service. They don't accept phone appointments, then when I came in and made an appointment they subsequently lost or did not record my information so when I returned they wanted to put me back again at the beginning of the waiting list. I left on principle. I spoke with manager Josef Hopps who seemed bothered by the complaint and did nothing. I went here for a trim, I asked for a little bit off the sides and a trim off the back. I showed Brenda a reference photo and she chopped all of it off which is the oppositie of the photo. It's completely uneven and extremely short which I made extremely clear I didn't want. One of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten but she cut it all so quick I couldn't stop it. My mom got a stylist that truly had no idea how to cut her. No sectioning, did not know how to cut a 93 y/o women's hair into a pixie. Would not listen to what we told her, and did not listen to another stylist who showed her a picture. Her hair ir looks like a weird Mohawk/mullet if you can imagine. Walked away from my mom when I asked her to clean the hair off her face and cloths. Told me she didn't have a brush, just a blowdryer. I am still waiting for a call back from the manager. I intend on taking this up the ladder because it's not that it is a bad cut, it's about this stylist who had zero clue how to cut hair. One hour my mom was in the chair and does not have a lot or thick hair. The other 2 stylist knew what they were doing and one even showed her a picture. Neither one stepped in to help her although they saw her struggling. We have to let it grow now in order to fix it. My mom is so upset as her hair does not grow fast. What a shame for her. read more
