I recently got a haircut from Jenny and it was one of the best haircuts I've gotten in a long time.

Would not recommend. They mixed up razor guards and gave a cut that was not requested.

I needed a trim and didn't want to spend $60+ as listed at the nearby salons. The girls at my job all recommended the Lombard Hair Cuttery. Thank goodness they did! Kiana gave me the best haircut I'd ever had. I'm growing out my hair so I let myself go too long without a trim. I won't make that mistake again now that I found a good stylist. It just looks/feels so nice and healthy. I want to keep it looking this healthy so I'll be going to Kiana for another trim sooner than I planned. Today I had the best hair cut experience ever. I called Hair Cuttery on Roosevelt & Highland in Lombard early this morning, hoping they might have an opening today. Sure enough, they got me in at 11:00 am. My stylist was Jayce, and he is phenomenal. He took the time to talk with me first and make sure he understood exactly what I was going for, and when I wasn't sure of certain things, he gave me options to consider. He was so much fun to interact with, as was everyone in the salon, staff and customers. Not only did I get the best haircut and style to carry me forward, but it was an incredible deal, especially considering the valuable information and tips I got from Jayce. I'm super low maintenance. I mean that SUPER low maintenance. I get my hair cut maybe two times a year and usually only for trims. My hair is hard to mess up so thank God for that. Now, it's been a long time since I've had my eyebrows waxed, but with a special occasion this weekend I figured I could splurge and make an effort. Why? Why did I do that? The girl I worked with was super nice, didn't push too much for a conversation and gave me a perfectly fine haircut. But my eyebrows.... *deep breath* Jesus keep me calm. Half. HALF. of the tail on my right eyebrow was waxed off. Bad enough already, but on top of that the eyebrows aren't even...even. The left was over waxed as well, but the tail is noticeably longer than the right side. Now, they say sister not twins when it comes to eyebrows... So, I get a cut from this place once in a long while. I'm not into chain hair cutting places (I had a bad experience, or should I say I received an unwelcome mullet once), so I'm very careful of who I let cut my hair. I must admit that these people know what they're doing. They're very knowledgeable and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I made an appointment with Katie for a trim. When I arrived she tells me that she doesn't do what she referred to as "ethnic hair"!!! Excuse me, are you seriously discriminating against me because of the color of my skin??? My hair is bone straight, not that it should even matter. Who hired this racist person? I have been to places like Hair Cuttery, Supercuts, etc and have never been denied service because I have "ethnic hair ". Yvette was nice and professional, but the cut she gave my daughter was horrible. I asked for a cut straight across with layers in the back and angles in the front. She cut it much shorter than I wanted it and she completed the cut with one side being noticeably longer than the other. After trying to correct it, that side was still longer. She incorporated one layer in the back and she did not blend any layers into the sides of her hair. So there were several different lengths all around her head that were not a cohesive cut. I asked for a manager after she cut it and she became short saying that I could go talk to her on the floor. The manager was nice and heard me ask for her and came up to the front to check my daughters hair. She also noticed that the hair was uneven and offered to fix it. She then spent another 10 minutes correcting the haircut and blending layers all around her head. I would visit this location again but not this hair stylist. read more

Was a little scared going in here... I'm new to the area, and these type of chains tend to be "hit or miss" places. I have to say, I am very impressed. I was greeted by a very friendly staff. Jackie Esposito (she gave me her business card after the visit) was extremely personable. She asked all the right questions, while working explained what she was doing & really showed enthusiasm about her work. I felt very comfortable and left extremely happy. My cut was exactly what I asked for! She actually listened to what I wanted and also asked a few questions to be sure she was going to give me the right cut. I am extremely happy and Jackie is definitely my new stylist! Also... $20 for a cut & blowdry, cant beat that! read more

Fool me once, shame on you Hair Cuttery. Fool me twice, shame on me. I don't know why I made multiple visits here when I always ended up unhappy with the results. I mean the wait never seems horribly long here so I guess that's a plus. The thing is that the people who work here are nice, but their hair cutting skills are sub-par. I have a pretty easy haircut which shouldn't present that much of a challenge. Yet when I would get home I'd find unevenness, spots missed, etc. Some proper training for how to effectively use clipper may be in order. One time it was so horrible that I had to make an emergency run to my friend for a fix. I've now wised up and go to her when my hair needs a trimming. read more

The worst ever blow dry i had is with christina, i felt like she is doing the blow dry for the first time and my hair was still wet after the blow dry, i keep on asking her to put curls and my front bangs, face framing part, but she ignored. i dont even see much difference after the blow dry. What a great staff! I've been going here for over a year now and I won't stop! They do everything with so much care, they take their time and make you feel comfortable. While I went to get my hair done they offered me water, which was really nice of them. The manager daisy is so good, I always make my appointments with her for all my hair needs. I just wish the waiting area was little bit more spaced out because it can get crowded really fast and we're sitting in close proximity. Other than that they're great overall! I went in today with my hair in an unfortunate state after a bad bleaching that was done by a recently certified stylist. I was desperate for something to be done to correct my hair color because it just did not look good. Hannah was my stylist and she transformed my brassy, uneven hair into a gorgeous, even, light brown color. You can't even tell that it was messed up a few hours ago. I asked for a trim on my bangs and I specifically said I want to just get them evened out and I want them to still be long and wispy. When the stylist Janine Evan was done it was the complete opposite of what I wanted they were short way to short barely touching my eyebrows and not wispy at all. The stylist Jasmine Evans was also being very rude when I asked for just a bang trim then when it was done I realized I also wanted To cut off my dead ends and when I told her she rolled her eyes sighed and continued to be rude the rest of the time. read more

Jackie's been cutting my hair for about 3 to 4 years now from my super long layers and then to my new angled-Lob (aka Long bob).... and starting about 2 years ago she now she cuts my fiancé's hair who went from spending 67$ every 2.5 weeks at a fancy salon to Jackie (salon manager now) who cuts his hair jusssssst as well and for a fraction!!
