So I was thoroughly surprised to find this place. My appointment was on a busy Saturday for 11:30. Upon arrival I found the parking lot to be a little limited- I did get lucky and found a spot right in front of the building though! But if those spots fill up you may have to park farther than you would want. When I entered I checked in and I was instantly pleased by how aesthetic and clean the shop was. They had the cutest decor still up from Valentine's Day. As I mentioned it was pretty busy, so even though I had an appointment for 11:30 my nail tech didn't get started on my nails until 11:45-11:50 ish. Despite the brief wait I understood how busy it was and I was offered a drink while I waited. As far as the service I thought it was excellent. My nail tech listened to what I wanted and constantly checked in on how I liked the shape and length. My nails were very basic just simple red nails, but I did see their pictures online of more complex designs they do. So it's good to know if I ever want designs this place is capable. My nails were $73 plus a $15 tip. It's been a week and a half since I got my nails done and they're still going strong. No breaking, no chipping, no nothing! I love gel X! I do appreciate that they were able to get me in right away. Of course, there were no other customers when I arrived. Two of us stood waiting to be acknowledged. Finally I yelled out hello and two people came out from the back. I didn't enjoy the pedicure. The man that did my pedicure drew blood on my heel with a scrubber. I pointed out that he drew blood and there was no apology, nor discount given. I shouldn't have tipped 20% for that service. Also, my dry skin is still on my toes and heels after he completed the pedicure. My other salon, my feet are like a baby's skin when they use the shaver on my heels, so smooth. My nails look nice from a distance, but on closer inspection, there's lint or bumps stuck in the nail polish. Ugh! I am not happy with anything that occurred today and wasted a $42. I highly would not recommend this salon. Promptly made an appointment for Friday at my usual nail salon.

It looked clean and modern. They played cooking shows on the TV screens, which I enjoy. I was seated at a pedicure chair right away and given a choice of colors for my gel manicure and regular pedicure. I did ask to ensure that they would not use the electric sander on my nails. I was quite pleased to find that they never use that for gel nails, a policy that I wish more salons would adopt. There were only two customers when I arrived, but people began to shuffle in during the time I was there. The pedicure was fine. I appreciate that they did not try to upsell me, but I do think it would have been nice to have more services such as a bit more of a massage or some more scrubs. It was quite basic and I wasn't offered other options. I was then moved to the manicure table after the pedicure was complete. Like the pedicure, it went by quite quickly. Not that it is necessary, but the staff really made no attempt to have a conversation at all. I'm OK with it, but they could have come across a little friendlier. No one was rude at all, but it just wasn't the warmest environment. As far as the manicure, I liked the color, but the gel dried unevenly with a few bumps here and there which annoyed me. Also it just wasn't quite the length or shape that I requested. All in all, I was glad that they were able to get me in and it was a decent service at a reasonable price.
