I've given these guys SO many opportunities, every single time I'm there I just question whyyy I keep trying. This last time, I kept seeing people taken before my daughter- who had an appt with "first available". 40 min past her appt time, and I kept asking why we're not next, and I would get vague answers, no apology, just "well they're booked with so and so" (but they showed up LATE) One time, I couldn't even tell my son's hair was cut. It wasn't washed, and it hung over his ears still. I'm done. So done with this place. read more

I made an appointment for a haircut in Dec '24 at the Sudley Manor Dr. location. Ipek was my stylist. She listened to what I wanted, which means everything to me! I liked her so much, I went back for highlights in my graying blonde hair. Ipek did a fantastic job. I am 60 years old and I wear my hair long. It looks 100% better than before. I've been going to this salon for the last 2 years and have gotten a haircut here about 4 times. Every single time. I have gotten a terrible haircut. I make sure Im very precise with what I want in a haircut like giving measurements around my head. But somehow they always do the complete opposite. When I say it's bad, it's bad. You could most likely do a better job cutting your own hair at home with kitchen shears. The hairdressers make it feel like they've never cut hair before and this is not an exaggeration. Terrible customer service made appt showed up and was told they showed no record - ok it was a mistake and was told come back in an hour - I did that and was told I had to wait another 30 mins as they were taking walk ins ahead of me who were waiting. Beware! A salon who does not understand concept of appts... trust me the stylist and prices (which are not that cheap) doesn't make up for terrible service and attitudes... go down street to Super Cuts! read more

I went to this Hair Cuttery because I needed to go to a close place. This salon was extremely clean and you could definitely tell it was relatively new! I had my hair washed, cut, and blow dried by the hair stylist Gaby. She is very nice and professional. She did an amazing job and would definitely go back to her and that salon. read more

Came in here a couple of weeks ago at 1815. They asked if I had an appointment and said no. I was the only one there. The lady told me sorry but they close at 1900. I looked around again to confirm I was the only one there and there were other employees there too just sitting on their phones. I said it was only 1815 and the woman said "yes but we close at 1900, you can come back tomorrow though". I walked out of the door shocked. Went back today and made an appointment for 1930. Came in 15 minutes early. No one greeted me or asked if I had an appointment or anything. I just sat down for 15 minutes before anyone said anything. Then a gentleman asked if I had an appointment. I said yes and he didn't say anything else. He went to the back and then just went home. By 2000 no one had said anything to me other than ask if I had an appointment. Not an estimated wait or even a greeting. Only two people are working and they are doing women's hair so it's taking a long time understandably. But I shouldn't be able to make an appointment if Im not going to actually get seen for almost an hour. At the very least let me know how long it's going to be. read more

I was new to the area and went there twice and had good experiences. Today not so much. I got highlight/ color and cut. The color turned out good but she left color all over my face. When I asked if she had anything to remove it she ignored me. So I asked later and she said they were out but I can use alcohol to get it off. I was angry that I'm paying all this money for a service but they can't get the dye off my face. I make less mess when I dye my own hair. Then she screwed up the cut of my bangs. So now I have to let them grow out to get them how I wanted. The entire time she was not pleasant and seemed as though I was an inconvenience to her. Her name was Savannah. I went to this establishment last week August 7th in the morning. I normally get an appointment or call ahead of time to make sure that certain hairdressers are there. I was informed by one stylist that "Everyone can do relaxers." I was proven wrong. The first time I went I had an African American do my perm and it came out AMAZING so I trusted her judgement. When I went I was quoted the wrong price. The first time I went I was only charged $50 and the new stylist wanted to charge me $97. I should have known something was wrong then, but I tried to keep the faith. Sara, the shorter Sara, applied a light base around my edges and applied to perm to the best of her abilities. She neglected to put any perm on the base of my neck on the right side and put some on the end when I started to complain and wanted to wash it out. When we were at the bowl she neglected to lift my head to make sure that all of the perm was washed away at the base of my neck. I had to lift my head and then she JOKINGLY told me a story about when she was in cosmetology school when someone burned off all of a clients hair because he didn't do the same thing that she did not do. I also had to tell her to put conditioner in my hair and put me under the dryer to let the conditioner soften my hair. After she let the cold dryer turn off she proceeded to wash out the conditioner and guided me to her chair to dry and style my hair. She started to flat iron my hair and it felt like she was doing it correctly but I then looked in the mirror and noticed that nothing was being flattened and I saw no bend in my hair. She put minimum moisturizer on my hair and it looked frizzy the entire time she was doing it. I tried to direct her on what to do..ie: you can get closer to my scalp, I'd like a bend in the ends. At one point she got really close to my ear and I flinched, then I had to press down my ear. Later on (today) I noticed that I have a BURN on my ear. Once she "finished" she wasn't even going to check my ends to make sure I looked okay. I asked her and she said "Oh yea they are uneven" before she cut them after the fact. Would she have if I hadn't said anything? You should have read my husbands reaction when I showed him my hair after I left the salon. I called the establishment back once I got home and spoke to the tall Sara, frankly I didn't want them touching my head anymore, she said that maybe the relaxer did not "take" and that she couldn't do anything about it nor give me a discount and that I should request the African American stylist next time. I proceeded to do my own hair the best I could and finished it way better than the short Sara did. I have pictures and time stamps on those pictures to prove everything. I will NEVER let her touch my head EVER again. I understand that not everyone can do African American hair. If you feel uncomfortable with it then please say so before you possibly destroy someone's hair. I hope that she did not do any serious damage to my hair. read more

Although not a place that caters strictly to kids like a cartoon cuts or something, they are experienced enough to keep him engaged but still. I had my hair colored here based on a raving recommendation of a friend. I had a picture of the highlights I wanted and specific details about what I was looking for. I was extremely specific with the length I wanted taken off and the kids of highlights I did not want. The stylist did exactly what I said I did not want and she cut eight times off what I requested. Under their 'smile back guarantee' I voiced my complete dissatisfaction to the salon manager and was promised a refund. When I went for my refund, I was only refunded 2/3s of the cost of the color and cut. When asked why the remaining charges weren't eligible for a refund, the manager just started reading prices off the sign but couldn't provide a reason. I spoke with distinct manager who did indeed confirm I should have received the entire purchase back and said she'd speak to the manager and I could go back and get it. When I went back, the girl I was spoke with so incredibly rude. I explained that I spoke with two different district managers and the girl had no idea who the district managers were. Until this vist, I've always had wonderful experiences with Hair Cuttery. It is discouraging because this salon is fairly new, is very clean and in a good area. They have the potential to be good but their rude stylists will cause people to drive further for better customer service. read more

Omg if I could give it a negative star I would, it's horrible I recently got highlights there and my hair got so damaged, every time I would touch my hair parts of it would fall out, I seriously wouldn't recommend it to anyone, they put flexi rods in my hair and didn't even style it after they took it out, they just told me it was done, it was a truly horrible experience and btw don't buy anything they would recommend from their store it does nothing, my hair was shoulder length and now it's neck length because I had to cut several inches off for all the sides to look the same. I wouldn't recommend Hair Cuttery at least this specific one to anyone, but I guess as they say if you want something done right don't get it done cheaply. read more
