While I was there, two other women were given times to come back which I appreciate because I don't like to sit and wait, I'd rather go and come back when I can be attended to. The stylist was nice and she read the notes in the system on my account (they don't always do that). I'm reading other reviews now after leaving my own hair appointment with Monique and I have to admit, I had such an amazing experience I'm wondering if I checked into the same Hair Cuttery as most of these other reviews. My experience with Monique was nothing short of amazing. From the minute we met, to the minute I left the salon, she delivered excellent service. Backstory: I had gotten my hair cut back in May at a different salon, right after salons reopened; and the stylist literally left the two halves of my hair different lengths. My left side was inches shorter than my right side. It was embarrassing. But I toughed it out for 2 months to let my hair grow out a little more. After explaining this to Monique today, she was 100% in-tune with what I was trying to accomplish with today's appointment. She explained the process of the cut she was going to give me and took before and after photos to show me the difference. She also explained the different shampoos I could use to avoid parabens, and she also recommended to use a hair masque at least once a week to help it grow. In addition to the stellar service, the cut and blow dry package was really affordable, the environment was clean and sanitized, and the results of my service look great. Monique at Hair Cuttery was the most thorough and informational stylist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is dedicated and committed to her craft. They live up to their name. I had long hair growing out for 4 years. I came before going to work on Monday because my split ends desperately needed cutting and I didn't have time except on a Sunday to come in. I told her I only wanted my split ends cut, and she said and pointed at me how much she would cut, just 1 inch-- I agreed, until I paid, walked out and tried putting my hair to the front like I always do-- and felt it at least 4 inches shorter. My long hair --- GONE. In one second. I cried when I got home. This shouldn't happen. I understand you get what you pay for but what the actual fuck. I asked for split ends cut not a whole ass hair cut. Never letting a woman trim my hair again. Now I'm making an even costlier appointment to get extensions done because I will absolutely not be walking around with short hair looking like I'm back in high school. If I could rate this lady (Darvis Designer II) zero stars I would! I went in to get layers and she did the sloppiest job I've ever seen. You'd think because layers are a simple and common haircut that she would be able to do them, but instead I was left with "layers" 5 inches apart from each other. I'm so upset and will now have to go to another salon to get another 5 inches cut off. This review cannot not even capture the amount of pain and tears I've suffered from losing my long hair. First time visiting a Hair Cuttery and this location was great. I went in for a single color service (Jet black). I had booked with Miguel and he was great; super friendly and listened to what I wanted to achieve. I had also booked for a eyebrow shaping because I needed a clean up on my eyebrows; all I can say is I love the way he did my eyebrows, super sharp and clean. The pricing for color is affordable and I would go back to him when I want to get a single color. I have long hair so there was an upcharge for the length but, in total for the single color and eyebrows I paid $95. Which is affordable considering my hair length! BTW - eyebrows are $13. The stylist wear masks and they do practice social distancing in the salon chairs with other customers. Overall, I would recommend trying the place out. I recommend for a single color Miguel. I was in a hurry and very aware that things like hair and nails. Since I chopped all my hair off last week I just wanted a very simple quick blow dry. My hair takes me like 15 minutes to blow dry, cuz its super short. But I was in a treat-yo-self kinda mood and this place was next to my nail place, I figured WHY NOT?! Went in for a men's haircut. Asked for a trim on top and #2 shave on sides. Gave example of David Beckham. Got flat topped instead! Cut my hair length more than 3 inches! It was less than 6 to begin with... She claims she cut only 1/2 inch and said "Don't worry, it will grow back." My infant son didn't recognize me my hair was so short. Also, During the cut, the Stylist asked if she could "trim" my eyebrows because they were bushy. I agreed and she shaved them off too. Literally, used the clippers with no guard. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! I clearly told the lady NO heat at all in my hair at all because I have a magnetic implant in my head and it could cause serious damage. She put the hair color in my hair and disappeared for almost an hour, I asked another lady for her and she said oh well just wait. I had the paint dripping all over my shirt and went in my ears and in my nails that had just been done. I got up to see what was going on and she was in the back eating. When she came out she just rinsed my hair and then grabbed the dryer and put it in my head. I told her once again I SAID NO HEAT but she didn't care and kept going. I literally had to grab her hand and take it off my head. She left me with a headache for days. I called corporate to complain but they clearly don't care eaither. The lady asked me what time is best to call you? I said in the morning and they called me the same day around 5:30 pm when I was in a meeting. I answered them back and they never picked up the phone again. I waited for days with no answer and called corporate back and the guy who answered was really rude and very unprofessional. He said you have no reason calling again you called once already and the lady in charge left you lots of voicemails. He was clearly lying because I had no messages at all. Days later I tried again and the lady who answered said she was going to forward the message to her boss. It's been over a month and I still haven't heard from them.
