After a couple of mishaps, in a moment of desperation, I decided to try this place again. Boy am I glad I did. Meigan was absolutely wonderful. she took her time asking exactly what I wanted and did not charge exorbitant prices. I was so happy with the service she provided that I made an appointment for my daughter who had recently had her hair done, and was extremely disappointed with the result. Meigan could not have been more gracious. My daughter had wanted to add red accents to her hair. She was absolutely thrilled with the results. I was disappointed with my haircut this time -- it felt very different from my previous visit. The stylist cut my hair much shorter than I expected and only trimmed the bangs. Basically, she shortened the whole length and then blow-dried the bangs to make them look better, which covered the fact that no real layering was done. I had clearly requested layers and even asked again during the drying process because I felt something wasn't right, but was told they were there. My unhappiness reached its peak when I saw myself in the mirror at a restaurant right after leaving the salon -- that's when I realized how flat and uneven the haircut looked. I'll be going to another salon tomorrow to see if my hair can be fixed. I used to recommend this place to my mom and friends, but I'm disappointed to see the quality has gone down even though prices have gone up. The service really didn't feel worth $69 (with tip my overall is over $70, I usually give 25%, but this time only 10%). read more

Came up to us and semi asked how much she wanted cut off I told her probably 2 to 3 inches. Well $45.00 later well not later maybe 15 min my daughter is done and her hair is crooked and choppy in the back. It seemed like the stylist was rushing, she never smiled if it was Alina whom we booked the appt with and went by the reviews online then she was either having a bad day or the reviews are not accurate. She replied we don't wear masks. I again said I would appreciate it if you would. She simply replied we don't wear masks. I should have left. But stayed. As women know a hairdresser is breathing on top of you for a lengthy period of time. I was wearing a mask. She was COLD in her response. My cut was clean and Katelyn did a nice job, she was polite and friendly, and took time to make sure I was satisfied.

Now i understand why this place only has a couple stars. I'm sure the stylists are talented enough but their time management skills are sadly lacking. I made an appointment for 5:15pm.. showed up on time and they looked to be swamped. The stylist who was supposed to do my bang trim had 2 people she was working on. One of which was kind enough to say i could go ahead of her.. but even then the stylist, Sunny, said she wouldn't be able to see me for at the very least another 30minutes. In the future I would hope they would call their clients and let them know ahead of time that they are running behind. Running behind is understandable.. waiting for the person to show up and making them wait 30+ is unprofessional. My husband and two babies were in the car and I was unfortunately unable to wait. My daughters newborn photos are tomorrow morning and now I'm just not going to feel like myself in the photos. Communication goes a long way. read more

For the past few years, I've come to hair Cuttery. Although the cuts used to be great, the whole place has really gone downhill. For the past year, every time I've gone I've gotten someone who doesn't seem to know what they're doing and they always manage to mess something up, even if it's just a quick trim. Definitely not worth your money or time. Edit: The woman completely destroyed my hair. The cut is uneven and my hair is frizzy and heat damaged. Took my mom here and what she thought was going to be an $18 haircut was $33. When we inquired we were told the prices displayed are not the actual prices. Even though the sign said $18 for shampoo/cut or $28 for cut blow dry and shampoo (which she didn't receive), we were told there are different prices charged depending on the training of the stylist. So for just a cut and blow dry she was charged $33. Why didn't we ask before? Mom tried to when she set up the appointment and they said they couldn't tell her the price. I think their pricing is questionable and would caution anyone from using this salon. read more

Quite possibly the easiest way to ruin your mood is by getting a haircut here. If you ask for a taper or any sort of fade it'll only result in a super short cut that's the same length around. Don't even try to ask for a beard trim or you'll look like you have a single strand of beard on both sides of your face and end up looking like wolverine. In a competitive market you'd think that not only skill, but customer service is a big concern for businesses, even for larger companies like Hair Cuttery. Apparently this isn't the case. Not only in style do they fall short, but the customer service is miserable. I was told loudly and forcefully that I have severe acne in front of a full room of customers. Oddly enough, I really don't. I have a few pimples here and there, but it's never come up in 27 years of me getting my hair cut. Maria, the 'professional' stylist, even counted the pimples on my neck out loud. It was humiliating and dumbfounding. I wanted to get up but she wasn't done insulting me and giving me a bad haircut. When I told her at the end that brutal honesty isn't a great cornerstone of customer service, she replied that as a professional it was her duty. Last time I checked, the condition of my skin is between me and my dermatologist, not some lady who cuts hair for a living. Stay away from Maria and Hair Cuttery in general unless you want a bad haircut and a terrible, embarrassing experience to boot. read more
