What a disgrace this place is when it comes to customer service. We came here for hair color, hair cut, specifically bangs cut and eyebrows colored. The woman, Veena, who has a very strong accent and who needs to work on her communication skills didn't communicate how much it would cost to do what was needed that day. We asked about the senior discount and also the discount for making an appointment ahead of time, she played stupid and acted like she had a language barrier and couldn't apply the discount to us for either thing. The total was extremely high and more than we wanted to pay. She even applied a 20% tip automatically to the bill without asking. We spoke to the manager a couple days later and brought the receipt to get the money back for the senior discount and the call ahead discount for the appointment. Unfortunately the manager was just as useless as Veena. They lost a customer that day and we will make sure we tell more people never to come here. read more

She seems like a nice person but she had no idea what I wanted even tho it was in the notes(made me think I was at the wrong location) sure whatever, minor mistake. I came in with my hair washed(no product/didn't use conditioner) she told me my hair was to oily and that I needed a wash because if I didn't my curls wouldn't hold. So I took her advice but very confused because I never had that issue before. I went to sit down in the chair and there was hair all over it. Tbh there was hair ALL over the place, even at stations that weren't in use(only two staff members on duty) after my wash I looked in the mirror and noticed I still had shampoo all in my hair ( told her) so we had to go back to sink and soak my hair all over again. I told her I wanted a beach wave type of curl. She proceeded to start drying my hair, a little time went by and she started to prep to curling iron. She couldn't even fine the correct one. Waited 5-10mins while she was looking. I don't think she even found the right one. When she finally returned I informed her my hair wasn't even fully dry so I was confused how the curls would hold when she can't even tell if it was fully dry or not ? My face was turned away from the mirror when she was curling my hair so I couldn't even tell what she was doing. When she was done I looked and she didn't even curl my hair the way I asked for!! I'm not satisfied at all. I'm not the one to leave a bad review but today was a big day for me(I'm getting proposed to and now my hair is ruined and I wasted money on something I didn't want.) I paid but I truly wish I didn't, I really want a refund. I don't recommend this place at all. They don't listen, they aren't prepared and the place is NOT clean! read more

I usually go to the Laurel Springs, Hair Cuttery, but I could not get an appointment with my / our stylist b/c of the COVID back up. Their website is whacky too. So, I remembered going to this HC b/f for cuts years prior, and my daughter also had a beautiful updoo done here for her 8th grade dance. AND my good friend comes here (sees Lisa Marie). My son and I lucked out. I saw Jill, and he, Tori. Jill did a wonderful job on my temperamental curly hair. Tori cut my picky son's hair ~ perfectly to his liking. Jill also did my brows. Thankfully I didn't get too much irritation and they look great - nice and natural. IDK if I'm going to leave Laurel Springs's location all together, alternate, or what, but I'm definitely going to come back. I'm currently making my daughter an appointment. read more

Leyla gave me the best wash and blow out. I have curly hair and it's hard to find someone who will blow it out well enough that it doesn't fizz quick. Leyla was such a sweet person, had great conversation, was very personable and very gentle, and her products and work are top quality. If I'm ever back in town I'll be sure to stop by and get another blow out from her. Thanks again girl! read more

It was just a short visit, I'm an old guy and this young woman was so pleasant, very refreshing. It was only my 2nd time at this location AND based on my 2 visits, there will certainly be a 3rd! As for Corrina, she's going to go far... Like I said I'm old, and I've developed a sense for this kind of thing. The 30 plus years I spent in face to face sales and marketing developing that sense of being able to read people, is certainly why I say the things I do. Complete waste of my time. I scheduled an appointment online for 10:30 am on a Saturday. I arrived ten minutes or so before my scheduled appointment. I was told my stylist was "just finishing up" with another client. By 10:50 am, it was abundantly clear she was nowhere near finished. I left. Why even bother taking appointments? This was not my first experience with the complete ineptitude of this location but it will be my last. read more

This is a great location! Last year my friend set up a group appointment for her wedding and the staff set up doughnuts and coffee and snacks for us! Our hair looked awesome and we had fun too! Today I went in to get my hair cut for the first time in a long while. My stylist was Alexa. Showed her a single (blurry) picture and she got what I was looking for right away. As she was cutting my hair I could so tell it was going to be perfect. After a few bad experiences elsewhere this was so refreshing. It came out perfect, a mirror image of the picture. I'm not a fan of chains. I've also always tried to stay clear of a chain hair salon. But when I finally found the best hair dresser around, she belonged to a chain. I was still completley against it, but with my husband's urges....I went, and fell in love. I don't know if everyone in there gives great head, but let me tell you Jill certainly does. I haven't had one bad hair cut from Jill. I think she honestly loves what she's doing (most of the time...lol) and puts her everything into giving a great hair cut. My kids love going to her, and so does my husband (surprise, surprise). But all joking aside, for not too much money, Jill does a great job. Although she gets pretty busy once the day starts, if it is a Saturday and you're going to see her, get there early or your screwed. read more

So I went yesterday to have my hair colored and cut. I asked for my dark brown hair to be dyed a lighter ash brown. What I got was a golden mess. She talked me into not getting my roots done saying it was low maintenance and would blend right in. Well it looks like I had my hair box dyed 3 months ago. It does not blend well at all and the color is completely off. She knew I didn't like it becaus she repeatedly told me I could come back in three to four weeks to get it done lighter. My issue is how unbothered she was that it wasn't what I wanted at all. Oh you know just come back and pay me again to get what you want as if I'm made of money. Never again and I've been a loyal customer for years ! read more

I usually go to the Hair Cuttery in Deptford. I decided to try this location today. Pretty easy to find coming from the Black Horse Pike. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my service because it was kinda busy. I was expecting just as much for a Saturday evening though, so I wasn't complaining. I ended up having Kate do my wash/cut/blowdry. She convinced me to to a chemistry treatment which came out to $32 (with the wash cut and blowdry included). Normal price without the treatment is $25, so not too bad. She was a very nice girl - but definitely took her sweet old time. She would stop what she was doing every so often to chit chat with me, and I just wanted to get done. She took a while just to do the cut in general as well. I was there for about 2 hours, and for anyone that knows chain salons, that is quite a long time for just a haircut service! Starting with the wash..she shampooed my hair extremely quick - didn't even touch the nape of my head/neck with shampoo..the "treatment" I had was supposed to be on my hair for about 5 minutes. It was on for about 2-3..I figured maybe she was busy after me, but the haircut took super long even though it shouldn't have. I like the haircut she did, but she cut my bangs way too short (well above my eyebrows, and I think she got embarrassed because she knew she messed them up) and now it's hard to style them without it looking strange. The blow dry turned out okay, but she used too much product (and two different kinds) in my hair while doing so. My hair felt stiff, and not manageable at all. I ended up having to brush it out when I got home. Not too sure if I would come back to this location again. Maybe I'll stick with Deptford. I've never received a bad service or any bad part of a service there at all. Or maybe someone more experienced at this salon would be better. read more

I literally just walked out of this place. Called ahead, told 15 minute wait. Show up 10 min later, sit down and the girl says I'll be with you in a moment. 30 minutes later she checks me in, and walks away. Doesn't say anything else, meanwhile there are 6 hair dressers on. One sweeping... One chit chatting with her boyfriend. And two sitting on their cell phones. It looked like a high school study hall. After 45 minutes all together I walked out, and pretty sure no one even noticed. I go to the Hair Cuttery on Chew's Landing usually, and they are great there. I highly recommend the 3 mile drive over this dump. If the manager happens to read this, I recommend hiring some professionals, not the teeny bopper crew obsessing over their instagrams. read more

I called here on NYE at 2pm to see what time they were open until and was told 6pm. The girl told me to just make sure I come in two hours early to ensure that I'll be seen because they don't take appointments. All I needed was my gray roots covered. I arrived at 3:50 and they refused my service because they had a 30 minute wait and they said they wouldn't have time to do my hair. First off, a root job only takes about 30 minutes. Second, I am a regular customer and an excellent tipper. And lastly, I showed up in ample time to be served. AND I called. The woman was extremely rude to me and I will NEVER come back to this salon. I'd rather pay the $300 at Moxie Blue to get my hair done than to deal with this ignorance. read more

I went into there to get a disconnected undercut, and this hairstyle is...different...but they did an AWESOME job! It was a really great experience! They gave me service right away. Told the lady what I wanted, showed her a pic and she cut it amazingly! My hair looks great and it was just an excellent experience and good pricing. I got some hair product there, three dollars off. Deff will go back. Btw, you should request Jill. She was amazing and friendly. She listened, chatted me up while making everything clear and easy, and cut my hair just the way I wanted. read more

I have gotten my Son's hair cut at this salon on a few occasions. He always gets a buzz cut. I've had to call the manager the following day on two occasions to get his hair corrected. It seems with a buzz cut their experience is very minimal and sometimes I'm happy with his cut and sometimes Im not. However, today I had to call again after his hair was butchered yesterday by a woman who claimed to be a master stylist to get it corrected. I will not be back with him. However, My husband who wears his hair a bit longer and they use a scissor with always looks fine. If you need a clipper cut I suggest going elsewhere. read more
