I have been a long to time client receiving regular facials and massages. Like the facility, staff, and quality of services. Unfortunately they have decided to add a surcharge for paying with credit card which does not fly with me. Bri was my stylist and she made me feel like a new person with my hair! My Mom and I went for massages this week. I had Kaylee and she had Holly. I am a Massage Therapist and find myself (unintentionally) being critical of massages. This was the best massage I have ever received!! My Mom agreed as well. Our therapists were highly skilled, they asked what we needed work on and actually followed through- which is hard to come by sometimes. I loved that Kaylee used a lot of forearm work on my back- something I really needed. She had the perfect pressure and I love that she wasn't very chatty, so I could finally relax and enjoy the time thoroughly. She eliminated so many of my knots in my back and I felt like I was walking on a cloud afterward. Thank you so very much, we will most definitely be returning. read more

Although my massage was a 10, I was not happy about the check-out. I used a $200 gift card a few months back and knew I had a balance left on my account. The last time I was there the young lady was able to look the balance up on the computer. Evidently the process has changed. I was not instructed to present a card nor was there any additional information in order for me to use my balance of $80+. I second guessed myself thinking I did send the full $200 at one time. When I looked back in my calendar I saw that I did in deed on use the card once. I immediately called the salon back and told the desk person I found the paperwork stating the original amount on the card was $200 and my service today should have been covered. I was then told they could not issue me a refund in order to use the rest of the gift card balance. It just didn't make sense. I could see if I waited days or if there wasn't a conversation with staff concerning the balance. Basically in the end the Spa will get an extra charge from me. Very disappointed. read more

I got a massage this past Monday from Holly and left super relieved and rested! Super impressed with the business, I decided to schedule for a haircut. I got my hair washed, cut and styled by Rachel today. WOW is an understatement! I didn't know the place offered so much and come out satisfied on each experience. On 8/29 I treated myself to a long overdue massage, using a gift certificate from my coworkers. I have had massages before, but had never been to Tranquility. What a great experience! I walked in to the really nicely decorated salon and spa, and was immediately impressed. The salon and spa are separated by the waiting area for the salon, and a small shopping area with clothing and accessories, even some of the fun and funky hair chalk. They offer water with oranges or lemons (I could not tell) for all clients while waiting and will even bring you coffee and tea as requested. I checked in with the lady at the desk, and after she explained the services to me, she ushered me in to the "quiet room" which is playing serene music and is far enough that you do not hear the noises from the salon. My masseuse, Christine was very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable with her. I opted for the Aromatherapy massage, with peppermint being my choice of essential oils. The massage table was covered in a soft heated padding, which was bonus point # 1. The massage started with my back, and when she was done she covered by back with a heated and weighted pad. When she initially told me about all the heated stuff, I was worried it would be too much, as I get hot easily. However, it was perfect and I melted right in. They also use hot, wet towels on your lower back, hands and feet which was very nice and something I had not had done in prior massages, but found it very enjoyable. That was bonus point #2. Typically I find that during a 50 minute massage times flies by and it is over before you know it, but this seemed to go on forever, and I was NOT complaining! Bonus point #3 for me, was the tip station - which allows you to tip anonymously. Trust me, I gave her the tip she deserved and I can not wait to schedule my next appointment with Tranquility. They also have a location in Voorhees. You may want to check it out as a personal pampering day, or for a gift to a friend, mom or wife. Thank you for the great experience! read more

Always satisfied with my results here. Ive been going to Laura for years for my cut and color. She always does a great job, and whenever i don't like something she fixes it for me no problem. Most of the time i go to Lorraine for my brows, shes great and very consistent, but sometimes runs a little late. Ive gone here for my sweet 16 and prom and have been very satisfied by the results each time. -1 star because it is very hard to get in contact with them on the phone, they barely answer. read more

I was a client here for about 1.5 years total. I was FIRED as a client because my hairdresser couldn't get my hair right. I never made a big deal about it. After paying $200+ with a certain end result in mind, I left with the most God awful, brassy orange hair I've ever seen. When I called a few days later, I just said very politely that this was not what I requested and could it be fixed. I even had a picture. It's not like I just described it incorrectly. So because my "fabulous" stylist was booked, I saw someone who was free and instead of redoing my hair to be the way I wanted it, I tried to make it easy on them! I said just make me brown again. Hair was still brassy. Again, didn't make a stink. When I called to set up my next appointment weeks later, I was told Farrah would no longer work with me and that the Salon stands by their stylists. It's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. You are in the business of customer service. When working in customer service, the talent should be larger than the ego. It's unfortunate because this particular stylist cost Meghan and Suzanne, who were always awesome to me, a loyal client as I'd never give my business to someone who conducts business in this manner. They also lost my Mom as a client and I tell everyone about my experience when they talk about going here. If you do decide to give them the business, Suzanne is awesome and Meghan is great for cuts. read more

The ONLY place I will go for waxing and massage. They are pricey when it comes to color, hair, and nails so I usually go down market for this, but I have seen customers leave with fabulous cuts and color (my hair grows so fast - needs to be dyed every 2 weeks; I chip my nails because of my handsome Seamus and his love for playing catch so there is no point spending that kind of money). ALL of their waxers are skilled, I usually go to Jillian - I've probably had everyone wax me (ha ha that sounds so weird) and there is minimal discomfort and none of that bumpy, rashy nonsense that tends to occur afterwards. The massages... Super. I've had solo ones, a couples one with my husband, I've given him massages as a gift... This is a superior spa...I highly recommend it for any of your needs. They are extremely accommodating, polite, and overall, it will be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I was in there one day this summer (my husband got me a spa day for my birthday because he knows how much I love it there) and a bridal party was in there getting hair, nails, makeup - the works - and I could see how well they were treated despite having such a large party there. read more

I had a full body Swedish massage here using the 50 minutes for $45 deal and wow! What a deal!? The masseuse, Nicole, was marvelous. We had a brief conversation before we got down to business, where I could let her know why I came in, and any issues I was having. The private room was beautiful, with a heated bed, clean sheets, and soft music and lighting. Overall I could have spent my entire day in there. Nicole made sure that I was comfortable the entire time, and was super personable and friendly. The service at the front desk was very professional and warm. I signed up for a 90 min massage at 10:00am today. I was very satisfied with the quality of the 60-70 minute massage. Wait, I paid for 90 minutes what happened? I arrived at my appointment time and immediately got signed in at my appointment time? Hmm, I was put in a waiting room with water; no beer or wine unlike their competitor a few miles up the road. OK so, 5-10 min wait till I am greeted and lead to the room where I was asked the normal Q&A. Then I was given time to change. Lots of time...While I was waiting I listened to calming music that cut in and out 5 sec to 2 minutes; needless to say not so calming. I waited so long I grabbed my phone and did a few things. Finally, she knocked to make sure I was done. When she returned more questions flavor of cream, hot bed cloth. Finally, when the massage started it was relaxing with the exception of the crackling sometime silent "relaxing" music. I am being generous with a 20 min loss when it was closer to 30. Great massage but music or lack of was flat annoying, and down time was highly unusual. read more

This place is so not worth the money. They claim that they have experienced hairstylists. Well, the one who cut my hair even had a picture of what I wanted and it ended up not looking anything like the picture or what I asked for. My hair was chopped and looks like crap now. For $52.00, it was so not worth it. It is so difficult to find a decent salon with hairstylists who listen to what customers want. These places operate on how many people they can book and then rush clients in and out. It's all about making a buck and not caring about the client. I tried their Tranquil massage, their most popular massage. I had a 6pm appointment, so perhaps since I was a late appointment, my massage specialist was tired, but it did not feel engaged, and I could feel her only using one hand for most of the massage. There was a lot of long repetition in the same random spots rather than giving time and attention to each part of the massage. She only spent 10 seconds on each hand and foot. The mud hand and feet mask sounded really nice in theory, but it was only a quick brush of mud on the tops, not enough to actually cover my hands and feet, and she left the wet towels on so they got cold quickly, left a cold tingling feeling on my skin after she took it off (I'm not allergic to anything). I have had multiple massages from various places, all times of the day, but never to a "salon and spa" - knowing of much better massages at real massage spas for the same price, I would not recommend going here, at least not for the Tranquil massage (even though it seems like a good deal) nor in the evening in case they're tired. read more
