PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW! Very upsetting experience at the Hair Cuttery on US-1 and 12th involving Nicole and Kevin. I left work early for a 1 PM appointment that had been scheduled and confirmed through Hair Cuttery's text system. When I arrived, Nicole incorrectly told me my appointment had actually been the day before and labeled me a "no show." Even after I showed proof that my appointment was confirmed for that same day, there was no apology or professional handling of the situation. Instead, the interaction became dismissive and uncomfortable. Since the barber I originally booked with was unavailable, Nicole recommended Kevin for my haircut. I clearly explained that I wanted to keep my medium-length hairstyle and only clean it up slightly. Unfortunately, Kevin cut far more hair than requested and trimmed my sideburns so unevenly and short that parts of my scalp were visibly showing. When I pointed out the issue, excuses were made and an attempt was made to darken the area with color instead of properly acknowledging the mistake. What should have been a professional correction quickly turned into a humiliating experience. The most shocking part was what happened afterward. During the discussion about fixing the haircut, Nicole became aggressive, got close to my face, ripped the salon cape off me, yelled "GET OUT," and continued screaming in front of customers and staff. The manager, Liza, witnessed the incident. I spent months growing my hair out only to have it ruined in minutes and then be treated with disrespect afterward. Went in for a simple stacked bob cut and style. Kevin worked on my hair for over 2!!! hours, added product after product and did an awful job. Did not listen to what I asked for. One side is longer than the other. An overall horrible job and experience. This pic was taken right after I came home from this place. I'm very disappointed and sad about what he did to my hair. Kevin is a wonderful stylist , him and his fellow men and women stylists are great . He gave me a shampoo . And cleaned up my edges . Had me looking super model status . He made me feel right at home . He's very nice , welcoming , greeted me with a handshake and smile . The ladies who work there were also very nice . I have been a customer of this Hair Cuttery salon for more than 20 years. My wife and I brought our children here and now we bring our grandchildren, who look forward to the experience and to the dum dum lollipops they receive. The experience has been great for all of us. From the time I entered the shop, the whole staff was friendly and inviting. The woman who did my hair had a very poor attitude, did not do what I asked and make negative comments about my feedback when I asked for adjustments in the style. She made me feel very uncomfortable and used about half a can of hairspray on my hair when I wanted a float style. I got home and had to wash my hair and was ultimately late to my event. My hair was longer than the reference picture and I told her the reference was too short I only wanted the style but to only cut half and inch off my longest layer. Don't go here! I want availability for my favorite hair person ever! Ha! No, really, if you want a really good hair stylist- namely, Carolyn - this is where to go. She is the best. A big self esteem-boost and everything. The other stylists, receptionists and everyone e are pleasant too. They sell great products and dont try to sell something you don't need or want either. It's not a luxury salon or anything, but who cares? It is clean, has talented people, and it is affordable. Carolyn has a lot of male clientele as well, as she does excellent cuts and grooming (as I've heard and witnessed). Really, ask for her. Just say Elaine sent you! She is great! I had a great experience with my stylist Kim, she's great! But I won't be returning. Unfortunately, the owner had a conversation with another customer regarding politics (I remained mute as I have different thoughts then they do). I truly believe that everyone has the right to believe and support what they want to, this is the United States. However, they stated that if you don't have the same beliefs as they do, then we shouldn't come to Florida. Called in today to see if they could work me in. Had me booked and ready to go with an appointment in 10 minutes. Arrived and waited just a couple minutes and they were ready to go! I'm not a "hair person" and never sure how to tell them what I want, but Caroline listened and gave me some suggestions. My cut came out PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted. Will not be returning. Charged my daughter for signature cut but received no shampoo or conditioning services. She only trimmed the back of her hair and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Polite and courteous staff - only a five minute wait before I was in Gabriella's chair getting my wash and cut. Knowing I had a coupon - which probably cut into her portion of the fee - Gabriella set about cutting my hair, even trimming my mustache and eyebrows upon request and direction. No issue or problems - Gabriella cut my hair right the first time. Shop is conveniently located in the Vero Mall on U.S. 1. Plenty of parking and easy to find location. I had my hair done by a young Spanish fellow today and when he finished I was awed by how beautiful my hair looked. More streaks than anyone there had ever done, didn't put me under the hair dryer so my hair didn't get dried out and my hair came out shining with a beautiful hair cut. Extremely bad service and attitude toward the patrons. I arrived when there was 1 other customer getting a cut. Or attempting to as the stylist was too busy on the phone to continue. I knew I'd be next but the 1 other stylist was obviously late. Another customer walked in. Finally the 2nd stylist arrived, not bothering to greet either customer. She motioned me to the chair. I sat. And sat. And sat. She was on the phone trying to find something in the desk. The other customer & I rolled our eyes at each other. The phone distraction continued. Finally I got up and stated that this was not the place for me & complained about the lack of service. The other customer followed me out. Came with my boyfriend while he was getting a clipper cut. 2's on the side, 3 on top. After she finished the top, he had to ask her to go over the left top side again because it was noticeably not as trimmed at the other side.
