Please for your own mental health, stay away from this coven! Stylist Karly was so mean and made me cry, with Sean backing her up and bullying me. Karly made fun of my hair and I quickly left in tears. I was willing to give them another chance, I called the next day to book with someone else (hoping for someone who is not a mean-girl) they told me I wasn't welcome to their salon anymore (because I didn't display full submission). What's bizarre about this place is that they never once asked me my side of the story or why I left in tears. Just look at all of Mariela's scary responses to anyone who leaves a negative review on here. Her responses are always vicious and discrediting. That says a lot! Most owners/managers are very sweet and will work with you kindly to find a solution, not Mariela! Luckily, I was able to find an amazing team of stylists at another salon who are so kind and collaborative and non-judgmental! Buyer Beware! After being a loyal customer for 4 years, I recently had an awful experience at the Metamorphosis (Aveda) Hair Studio in Vero Beach. My hair was inappropriately cut by Carly that made it too short on one side, totally unlike the desired style, which was specifically indicated in a photo. I went in to get a symetrical, long layered style, and wound up with some of the hair on one side six inches shorter than the other side. I felt that something was not right because I needed a bobby pin (which I never have to use) to secure my hair on one side. Until I returned home and washed all of the styling products out of my hair, I did not realize the extent of the disater. Total cost was over $300. I met with the owner and she refused provide a refund stating it was against her policy. She only offered to cut more hair off (which was the opposite of the goal) to fix the bad cut. The trust that I had with the salon was irretrievably broken. I was especially hurt by the fact that Carly did not personnaly reach out to me. The salon used to operate in two buildings, offering plenty of space. It now operates in one of those buildings providing for a more crowded space. It appears to me that this congested environment is not optimal. In my opinion, the owner's greed for profit outways the importance of customer satisfaction.The experience has left me feeling disrepected and underalued as a loyal customer. In my opinion, any salon that has to operate wih a policy of absoulutely no refunds for customer dissatisfaction, should be avoided. So far I have not found another salon in the area with this policy. I'm now going to Lorenzo's to fix my hair. read more

Yesterday was my first cut at your salon. I was pleasantly greeted when I entered. My stylist, Lauren, seated me on time and quizzed me about what I like and want for my thick, straight hair. I answered.. Texture, LOTS of texture. After a few more questions she started cutting. I watched as she transformed my flat hair into interesting layers that can light reflect off. This salon was good but went downhill. They try to get as many people through the doors as possible with stylist juggling multiple clients at a time. This creates situations where they send you back to the waiting area with wet hair to wait for your stylist to free up again. Then they get attitude when you are unhappy about this. Literally one of the worst experiences of my life- a "Pretty Woman" moment - the bad kind. I rushed over on my day off for a "consultation: as a potential new client. They quoted me $500 + for the service I requested - which I said was fine. Then it got weird - they kept hedging when I asked to book a date. They said they were booked though the month - so I was willing to wait for July - and THEN they said - the stylist Carly doesn't think you respect her opinion - and no one else here is a good fit for you - so we would recommend GOING TO A DIFFERENT SALON!? I didn't notice any ethnically diverse staff nor clients - not saying that was a factor - but it definitely left me wondering. Not sure what has happened with this salon, but they now never answer their phones and they never return calls or messages left. The owner has left a reply, however this does nothing to change my review. Any business that cares more about their yelp review response time (which was almost immediately) ahead of making sure a real customer service person answers the phone during business hours, and/or promptly returns calls has their business image priorities all mixed up. The fact is all day Friday last week, no one answered the phone, nor on Tuesday or Wednesday. I admit after hearing the same man's insipid voice claiming over and over (saying how everyone was busy attending to clients), etc., and that I would soon receive the same care - almost made me ill. This is by far the nicest Salon that I have ever been to. The exterior is a cute white cottage style, and the inside has beautiful exposed beams and natural woods giving it a very welcoming feel. Further, their hair washing service is a dream! They have a lay back style chair and it is the most comfortable and soothing hair wash you'll ever experience. And, of course, their staff is courteous friendly and highly-skilled. They do great Styling, Cut, and color service just to name a few. Very beautiful Hair studio. I got my bangs cut for the first time so I went to somewhere a little higher up since this is a big decision. The people inside were very nice and very clean. Though my bangs came out uneven once I got home and combed them out again after taking a shower. I went with it though, possibly thinking it was just me, but soon after a week I still noticed that they grew uneven and I started getting comments about them. Was not happy about that. Especially since it ended up being $30 just for the bangs, no wash, no blow dry, just the bangs. I recently went to Hair Cuttery to clean them up to make them even out and now they are fine for $5. They greeted us nicely and took Mom right away. The staff was terrific and Mom was thrilled with her hair. They are not an "old lady" salon. what a disappointment this salon is! The introduction to the salon as they start you off with taking photos of your hair, then setting up an appointment. Then telling you all the steps that need to be done so hopefully if you have a life and whole bunch of available time. You have several processes before you even get your hair done well finally we did multiple times, and once again, as we are loyal customers, me and my wife disappointment after disappointment. When we displayed our concerns, we were treated very rude and told that we weren't a good fit with them. So after paying for all these goods and services $100 for a men's haircut, an average of 300 to 450 for a woman's touch up roots hair coloring to be belittled and disrespected and when I asked to speak to the owner they said that they're out of the country. No wonder the place is ran like trash as well as the staff. not to mention our hair looked like trash ! it all makes sense to me now. Stupid me !
