I will NEVER go back. Walked in with a full head of hair. She asked what I wanted. I need a quick trim, not much off, the back is a little "heavy" and pulls the curl out and won't stay turned under. OMG! I hardly have any hair and when I saw she had given me a lot of short layers and left the bottom long (No way it will turn under) it lays on my shoulders and flips up very wispy and uneven. It will take all year to grow out!!!!! This makes me sick! $25 butcher job. read more

Got my hair styled here as part of a wedding party. It was..meh...okay...I told the girl I wanted a simple french twist. She tried for maybe 20 minutes to get the twist part right and couldn't, so another lady had to do it it for her. Then, I ended up with a bunch of curls on top of my head, and probably half a can of hairspray in my hair. I have been in many weddings and never had such a difficult time brushing out my hair after having it styled. It looked okay, but not the greatest. I just popped in here as a walk-in and was immediately fit in, no problem. My stylist's name was Paula and she was fabulous! I showed her photos of the look I wanted and she absolutely nailed it! Not only did she do a great job, but she went little at a time to get my input to make sure I liked it every step of the way. I've had stylists in previous salons that just hacked away until they were finished, but not her! Paula was very genuine and you could tell it was important to her that I was absolutely in love with my new cut, and I am!! Plus, this place is affordable. I paid $22 for a wash, cut and blow dry. I had my daughter get a Malibu treatment and a trim. The lady that did the service was for some reason in a huge rush, and made us feel like we were burdening her. She was quite rough on my daughters hair while washing it. The one thing that absolutely DROVE ME CRAZY was every person in the shop were constantly looking at their phones. When we walked in two young girls were at the front desk, I had to stand and wait for them to finish whatever they "needed" to do on their phones! If that was my business I would not let my employees have their phones out AT ALL! Only during a break, and off the floor of business! Very unprofessional. Will not be back. read more

I went for a simple trim and the lady cut six inches off! I get rude looks and even mean comments. Thought it was just me being over sensitive. So, I called to schedule an appointment. The lady hung up! Every other time was horrible I felt bad, and thought, " They ALL think they are better, more prettier, or something! So, sad I didn't SEE that before my hair was chopped. So i tried this place out cuz my own stylist has moved!! I wanted hair cut and color my daughter also got a trim. At first it all seemed great Kesha had curled my hair it lioked great!!! Then 2 days later i washed and straightened the chaos!!! It was chopped very bad cut the color was also uneven with different hues but badly seen!!! I called they said they fix it however it was different hair stylist Gwen!!! She even said it needed fixing!!! I had a plane to catch so she could only do the cut!! When i got bak wk later she did color!! She asked bout the cut and i told her i didnt care for it but the fact that they cut off 6 inches when only 2-3was necessary and i wanted to keep my length that i just didnt want her to cut any more of my hair off!! While doin color that i wamted to b all 1 color she precids to use foil i asked y again told her its to b all one color she said girl I got you!!! So little to say I left unhappy again!!! It looks grown out the very same day i paid 175 for me and my lil girl which has curly hair y kesha would straighten it to cut is beyond me it is also not even cut!!! I called to let them kn i was still not happy i have never experienced this tno usually they fix and all is well!!! Lady says well cant get u in today i then tell her oh no im sorry but i camt have u touching my hair again!! She then says i will have to call owner!! Ok fine i did been calling she Tammy hasnt returned my calls either she will however have whoever answers the phone tell me well i already got 2 free hair dos so i wontb gettin a refund or anything fir that matter!!! Only two stylists at this salon, and both work only Tues., Wed., and Fri. (salon is open only three days) Website and salon cards are incorrect. Very unhappy with the color and cut I received from owner, Tammy. I specifically said that I didn't want my hair to be too dark after coloring it to cover up some grown out highlights. I ended up with a color that was just a bit lighter than black. My cut, to even out some previous badly cut layers on the ends, turned into a full blown haircut with many layers and inches taken off. I called the salon the next day that it was open after my appt. and expressed my dissatisfaction with the color and cut (spoke to receptionist Ashley). I asked for a suggestion as to how the color could be lightened. I was told that red highlights would be put in for my next appt. in Dec. and that would lighten it. NO, not helping me now. I cancelled the next two appts. that I had booked with Tammy. Tammy never called me to offer any suggestions about my color. In addition to wasting $92, the professionalism of this salon is lacking. The services were poor, the stylists are not friendly or talkative, you barely receive a greeting upon walking into the salon, the atmosphere is old and dated, chairs in the waiting area are worn and tattered, and prices are unclear and not posted. My first wash/style with Tammy was $13. The next wash/style with Gwen was $20, and she isn't even the owner. Prices should be posted and consistent. This salon might have quite a few "regulars," but based on my color/cut experience, I will never return. I don't understand stylists who hear what the client is saying about what he/she wants or doesn't want, but don't (or won't) comply, and then won't even try to make it right.......absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Since i am new to laporte i had no clue where to get my hair done at. I have some family here that comes to hair divas... so i thought id give it a try. When I pulled up to the salon it seemed very welcoming. I received a 'added experience' and had many options to decide from. I chose to get my toe nails painted, as i walked through the salon back to pick polish and then to the pedicure area i realized how bad the flooring is there some areas where tiles were popped up and some that were still on the floor. As an elderly woman i felt uncomfortable walking around in there nervous i would fall. The haircut and wax i received was done great although i noticed how dirty the wax thing was and it made me realize how dirty this place is not only are the floors disgusting but how messy the front desk looked. Like i said the haircut and wax was great but due to how dirty/messy it was i will not return, i would be embarrassed to recommend anyone there. read more
