I was worried about my decision to stick with Brandi as my hairstylist after the awful consultation I received, which I had to pay FULL PRICE for. It was a couple of weeks before the wedding, so I felt I had no other choice. She didn't listen to what I wanted. I felt like she just did whatever she wanted...I could've done a better job, but it was my wedding day and I wanted a professional. I wanted no worries. I got the very opposite. Brandi zipped up my veil in the garment bag I brought it in after my consultation, therefore ripping it. She proceeded to deny that she did this. This should've been a red flag. I should've ran screaming for the hills. She is probably the most unfriendly stylist I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I was willing to believe she was simply having a bad day. This is the one aspect of the day I was truly unsatisified with...my hair. Did I mention she used a regular rubberband in my hair? Like, one you would use in an office. On my wedding day, she glanced at a picture I brought in, and AGAIN, proceeded to do a very sloppy job with my hair, rushing to keep her appointment with her next client. I began to cry. She was completely unsympathetic. She redid it. I was still unhappy with it, but it would have to do because I WAS ON A SCHEDULE AS WELL! I felt so stupid. I am so nice and felt like she took advantage of that. I even gave her a good tip. What was I thinking? My veil was not securely fastened and fell out several times even before the ceremony. It also fell out mid-ceremony. My hair looked like shit and was falling out of the bobby pins, which showed oh so tackily. I was looking at my wedding photos and my hair just looks AWFUL in them. Thanks a lot, Brandi. You should find a new profession because you suck at what you do.

After I backed home, my husband was quite surprised when he watched my hair. He said, " Your hair is very sticky ! This looks like just spagetti !" I was completlly shocked when I tached my hair. As a reco, I checked out Bella and Maggie was a fab find for my hair. She left to go to school so now I have Alaina. She is efficient, works with you for what you want and you're in an out if that's what you want. It's a small shop - like three people. So don't expect a fancy receptionist to answer the phone, be sure to leave a message. They're great about getting back to you and working with your schedule. I was there until nearly 8 one night and that rocks.

I have long curly hair and have found that not everyone can layer long curly hair without leaving pom poms on the side of my head and I was paying $50 - $80 for a haircut. My friend referred me to her 4 years ago and I have been getting my haircut from her ever since. I am thrilled that she opened her own salon, it's beautiful and I believe her prices are too low. I recently took my mother, who had been letting her hair grow for several years, to get a new hairstyle and she gave her a wonderful short razor cut which makes her look 10 years younger! If anyone is looking for a great haircut for a great price, I would definitely recommend 612 Salon.

It has only been open since March and if many other customers have had an experience similar to mine, it will likely be closed within the year. I decided to try out this new salon because it's location is near my home, it has a very nice and modern appearance and I had not heard anything about it... I went in for a color and cut. I had a very clear cut idea of what I wanted. I wanted all over color (switching from my natural shade of brown -never been dyed- to a much lighter shade with blond highlights) and a retro 60's bob type of cut - shorter in the back, longer in the front, but a bob. The stylist (and owner) told me that would not work and told me I would get only highlights instead. Trusting her judgment, I agreed. I did however impress on her that I wanted my hair to be GREATLY blond. She said not to worry, it would be. No. My hair is this crazy red with my original brown and some platinum blond streaks. It is SO ugly. The highlights she did put in are so low that it looks like I have at least a month's growth. I mentioned how much I disliked the way the color came out and that it was not as we discussed and she told me that is because I was unclear. I was told that I could come back in but she would have to charge me. She finished the color and then came the cut. What I wanted was not hard to understand. I have had similar from many salons and have never once had a problem like this horrendous cut. If I was a stylist, I would be SO ashamed to let anyone leave my salon looking the way I did. I cannot believe I left the salon looking like that. Even worse, I cannot believe I paid over $80 to look this bad. There was no styling at the salon and I left in a hurry with wet hair - I was not able to get a really good look at the cut until I got home. The stacked back is just hacked. There is no rhyme or reason to what she did. It cannot even be fixed without shaving the neck. The front is completely uneven. The right side is a good inch longer than the left. There was a large lock of hair on the right side of my head that was three inches longer than anywhere else. How she didn't notice it just boggles my mind. Everything is just so uneven. My four year old daughter could have done better. I honestly look like a clown. I thought about going back to make her fix this mess, but honestly I am afraid of what might happen. I would rather go spend another $100 than ever let that woman touch a hair on my head again. I wish I was able to post pictures : ( In addition to to the bad hair, I must also say that this was the most unprofessional business I have ever been in. And if you didn't get what you were wanting then she is more than happy to fix it for you, which apparently is pretty uncommon. I landed at this place because this is where my mom would go, but I am always glad to return. You'll love it just like I have for the last ten years or so!
