She is efficient, works with you for what you want and you're in an out if that's what you want. It's a small shop - like three people. So don't expect a fancy receptionist to answer the phone, be sure to leave a message. They're great about getting back to you and working with your schedule. I was very clear about my bad experiences with hair and what i wanted as well as showed a photo. My ends are not cut in a v they are choppy looking and my hair gets frayed out when i straighten it because she didnt define anything. She did not do anything i asked and is refusing to give me a refund and keeps arguing with me that she has all this experience yadda yadda and is basically telling me she didnt do anything wrong which she very much so did. One of the worst hair stylists ive ever been to. If you want hair that makes you feel like a movie star or a model, go to ulta. Istudios is awful. After months of spending thousands of dollars getting spa treatments, once a week blowouts with their $60 hair treatment, and on top of that getting my hair colored every six weeks, she treated me like dog sh*t. Apparently she likes to nickel and dime people. Even their loyal customers. When I first got my blowouts, I had asked the stylist to just touch up my ends with the straightening iron. No full head straightening. She was not charging me an extra $30 to do that. None of the stylists were. Because simply they weren't straightening my whole head. Week after a week I would pay the same amount of money for my blowout, unless I got an expensive treatment added on. Well, one day the front desk manager decides to charge me for my blowout an extra I believe $30. I explained to her what I've been getting and what I have been paying. She basically told me that the hairstylists need to be fired. I was wrong. They were wrong and she was right. She didn't even recognize me from when I come in EVERY week. That in itself , was pathetic. It's not about the money for me because obviously I was spending a lot of money at the spa. It was the whole principle of the matter. The fact that she was trying to get that little extra money from me after I told her I've been paying a certain amount of money every week, so sorta threw me for a loop. And the fact that she kept on saying that she was going to fire the hairstylists. I thought that was very unprofessional. Honestly, I think the owner of the spa needs to look into this because she just lost a loyal customer for the business. I know there are a lot of competition around. I just went to another spa and they actually include straightening in their blowouts. Same price. Even though I wasn't even getting my hair totally straightened. I was getting a blowout with touchups with a straightening iron because my hair flips up when I get a blowout. She didn't end up charging me that day, but she said going forward she was gonna charge me. Well obviously, there's no going forward because I canceled all my coloring appointments. The only one that loses is the hairstylists in the situation. But I'm not going to be nickel and dimed by an entitled , control freak of a front desk manager. I took my business elsewhere. Oh, by the way, I did call them and talk to them about my issue with this. I was told a manager would call me back. It's been two weeks now and nobody has reached out.

I have long curly hair and have found that not everyone can layer long curly hair without leaving pom poms on the side of my head and I was paying $50 - $80 for a haircut. My friend referred me to her 4 years ago and I have been getting my haircut from her ever since. I am thrilled that she opened her own salon, it's beautiful and I believe her prices are too low. I recently took my mother, who had been letting her hair grow for several years, to get a new hairstyle and she gave her a wonderful short razor cut which makes her look 10 years younger! If anyone is looking for a great haircut for a great price, I would definitely recommend 612 Salon.

It has only been open since March and if many other customers have had an experience similar to mine, it will likely be closed within the year. I decided to try out this new salon because it's location is near my home, it has a very nice and modern appearance and I had not heard anything about it... I went in for a color and cut. I had a very clear cut idea of what I wanted. I wanted all over color (switching from my natural shade of brown -never been dyed- to a much lighter shade with blond highlights) and a retro 60's bob type of cut - shorter in the back, longer in the front, but a bob. The stylist (and owner) told me that would not work and told me I would get only highlights instead. Trusting her judgment, I agreed. I did however impress on her that I wanted my hair to be GREATLY blond. She said not to worry, it would be. No. My hair is this crazy red with my original brown and some platinum blond streaks. It is SO ugly. The highlights she did put in are so low that it looks like I have at least a month's growth. I mentioned how much I disliked the way the color came out and that it was not as we discussed and she told me that is because I was unclear. I was told that I could come back in but she would have to charge me. She finished the color and then came the cut. What I wanted was not hard to understand. I have had similar from many salons and have never once had a problem like this horrendous cut. If I was a stylist, I would be SO ashamed to let anyone leave my salon looking the way I did. I cannot believe I left the salon looking like that. Even worse, I cannot believe I paid over $80 to look this bad. There was no styling at the salon and I left in a hurry with wet hair - I was not able to get a really good look at the cut until I got home. The stacked back is just hacked. There is no rhyme or reason to what she did. It cannot even be fixed without shaving the neck. The front is completely uneven. The right side is a good inch longer than the left. There was a large lock of hair on the right side of my head that was three inches longer than anywhere else. How she didn't notice it just boggles my mind. Everything is just so uneven. My four year old daughter could have done better. I honestly look like a clown. I thought about going back to make her fix this mess, but honestly I am afraid of what might happen. I would rather go spend another $100 than ever let that woman touch a hair on my head again. I wish I was able to post pictures : ( In addition to to the bad hair, I must also say that this was the most unprofessional business I have ever been in. The stylist's friends kept stopping by - swearing, drinking beer, screaming. It was just crazy. I hope this review may make someone think twice about going into 612 Salon.
