In short, the haircut was not done well. Instructions were not followed. Fade is uneven and doesn't shape his head well. The top was chopped and not clean. Made my son look like he has an egg shape head after the cut because of how much she brought it in. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. Furthermore, during the haircut, she looked visibly frustrated about how my son's hair was looking, and kept shaving more off. Probably from inexperience, but that's my opinion. I didn't complain at the moment because it's $15 and my son's hair grows back fast. When I get to the register, the lady charges me $20 instead of $15. I asked why, and she responded because my son's hair is long and he asked for a zero on the sides. Ummm ok, but you didn't say anything about charging more before the haircut. She claims she told my son, and I did verify with my son afterwards that she did say it. However, since he's underage and isn't used to paying for things yet, he thought her saying "It's 20, not 15" meant the length of the hair on top and not dollars. Whatever, I'll pay the $20. Card got charged and I leave a $1 tip. Lady asked why I left $1, and I said because you raised the price without telling me (and because it was a terrible cut). She's frustrated and I ask her what's wrong. She tells me she worked hard on the haircut so she deserves a tip. I tried to explain that she just made an extra $5 off me and I gave her $1, that's $6 (40%) compared to what should have been a $15 haircut. Overall, we came to a heated conclusion that it was a misunderstanding. But the audacity to demand more from what already was a crappy situation tells you all you need to know about this salon. Yea, I am wrong for going to salon instead of a barber, and yes, I get what I paid for. I'll accept that if the salon can accept their part in this situation also. To the business, if you are relying on tips, then charge more for the haircut. Also, be upfront about the pricing because what you are doing can arguably be called Bait & Switch, which is illegal. To the lady that cut my son's hair, just because you worked hard doesn't qualify you to get a tip. You didn't follow instructions. My son didn't like his hair and I didn't like it either. Truly, ask yourself if you even deserve a $1 tip just based on the quality of the haircut alone. Some other things I noticed too. - I was supposed to get cut after my son, but the lady took another customer instead of asking me if I was next. Just poor awareness and customer service. - All the Korean men that entered were promptly greeted, while non Koreans were given silent treatment. I'm not going to assume anything. Just something that I noticed.

She starts going at my hair and grabs so much more than the curtain bang area...basically taking the full top part of my hair throughout the hairline and cutting it in such an odd angle. I have never seen it in my life and I get cuts regularly for layers. At the end she started curling and I told her I didn't want her to curl it because I wanted to see the hairstyle without it done. She said she would just do the ends, but she proceeded to do the whole head and I'm just appalled at this point. I went out with a curled head of hair and showed disappointment in my reactions but she said that as long as I style it it'll look good. I went in wanting a low maintenance haircut and now I have to curl it all the time?! I flew back to where I lived and couldn't take it anymore. My hair looked horrible. I asked for my money back and she gave the refund. Just a warning everyone- please please do your research and know that although you'd expect this salon to have good stylists, they don't.
