Got a haircut for me and my 7yr old daughter. I called in for any availability now, and then drove over 20mins later lol. They speak English but we had a photo ready (we used the same photo). We have long straight hair and essentially wanted a trim and bangs shortened to frame the face since they're as long as regular hair length. Place is clean and spacious and doesn't smell strongly of hair chemicals (though it was pretty empty at 10am). We had our hair washed and we both like our cuts. $60 adults and $40 child as of Jan 2025 so it's a little pricey for the child but it's convenient when I'm getting it done at the same time. read more

The salon owner Joyce gave me hair coloring and hair cut. I arrived by our appointment time, and there was another walk-in customer that she accepted. Because she was in hurry, she did not protect the color dye to spread on the skin, so after coloring is ready to be washed off, skin was covered in coloring dye which was not done correctly. To cover her mistake, she kept using strong odor chemical on my skin hardly trying to remove the dye, during hair washing n later during my hair cut. My skin felt like burning & it was uncomfortable. I asked her that I never seen hair designer do this before, is this normal, and she said it's alright. There are red marks on my skin, and when touched it hurts. Later that night when taking a shower it's especially painful. Joyce was not professional and didn't do the coloring right. More importantly, to cover her mistake, she put customer in danger by applying strong chemical directly on my skin, which is a dishonest and unethical way to treat a client. Will never go to this salon, and I suggest you think twice when thinking of going to this salon. read more

I've been coming to Minjee for almost 10 yrs now since i moved nearby. I liked it because the price is reasonable and I liked the ahjummas in the salon. Last year they had a new owner and i met her then. Got a haircut from her and i liked it. After more than a year I came back and a lot has changed. Most important is the price. I dont mind paying $65 for haircut but at least give my hair a wash and the haircut is uneven. Im not that particular with the haircut. I let her do whatever she thinks best but just make sure the cut is even all throughout. Now i have my right side longer than my left. Mind you I was the only one in the salon that time. My hair is super long and I have not cut it since covid. And since I miss having curly hair, I know who I needed to call! Grace and Tina from MBH ! Location: MBH is located in Cerritos/Norwalk area on 166th st and Norwalk Blvd. It's inside a strip mall with a couples of restaurants nearby, which is great if you are here for more than 5 hours like me! Atmosphere: authentic Korean hair salon! They speak mainly in Korean. It's really cute! They're fairly busy in the afternoons so I suggest calling to make an appointment Staff: my hair cut is usually done by Grace, perm and color are done by Grace and Tina. There are 2 other ladies, but I don't. Converse with them much. Tina and Grace are hilarious and kind. They're pretty awesome! They even offer me sesame balls to eat because I have been at the shop for so long. Plus, I always appreciate them for giving me discounts since I have been coming here for the past 7 years. Expertise and pricing: They do everything! But I think they're very good for cuts, colors, and perms! They even have facials! And pricing is very reasonable compare to many hair salons nowadays! This place was okay , nothing spectacular but they get the job done. I think I got charged $55 for a hair cut (for long hair) and they straighten my hair at the end, no wash. I also purchased a heat protection oil, they put it on at the end and it smelled so good! So I bought that for $20 for a total of $75. The lady took an hour to cut my hair , which is a long time for just a trim but she was really nice and gentle so it was fine. read more

She was nice and efficient, she even had a technique of having me stand up so she could cut the length of my hair. For a total cost of $90 for the 3 of us, it was well worth the price! I called to see if they accept walk-ins and they were able to see me right away. I was greeted by Joyce and Erica (or is it Erika) as soon as I walked in and they were very friendly. The service was very quick - the wash, dry, and cut was all done within an hour. I also have fine hair so that might be another factor as to why, but regardless, I appreciated that everything was done with great time efficiency and exactly how I requested it to be trimmed. Originally I came in for a haircut but while I was there I asked how long highlights would take and they mentioned 1hr and asked if I wanted to get it done today and were able to include that in my services. Erica did such a great job with my bob/lob and highlights with the help of Grace. They were quick and efficient and prices were great. So happy to find this salon! Got my hair magic straighten and a keratin treatment, can't thank them enough!!! They did an excellent job my hair care consists of wash and go, no more time spent trying to fix my hair or buy products to smooth it out. The process took quiet a while but they took care of me, I ordered lunch and they picked it up for me. Walk-in cut & dye. 1st time here as the salon I usually go to has been closed for the last few weeks. Assigned to Erica. She asked what I wanted, I told her a trim but shorter on the top & sides. She dyed my hair blue the owner explained the blue would show primarily on my gray/white hair & not show on the hair that was still black. I told the owner I understood & Erica proceeded with my dye job. Erica's English was somewhat limited but I was able to communicate with ease. When I made my appointment a week prior, Grace asked me to wash my hair before coming in. I arrived 5 mins before my scheduled time slot. Tina took my temperature (forehead) and documented my name and time of arrival. I wore my own fabric mask the entire time. When Grace started to cut closer to my face, she applied a plastic face shield on my forehead. She also wore her own face shield. As always, I received excellent service and a fabulous haircut!
