I made an appointment on a Wednesday afternoon for my niece, who just wanted a trim. The moment we stepped into the salon, we were greeted with friendly smiles! It was lovely to see the stylists have assistants to help them with each client, as if they were the only ones in the store. Made an impromptu appointment here because my hair badly needed a cut and my sister recently reviewed this place with 5 stars. I had an incredible first time experience here! I have commitment issues when it comes to my hair, where I average about 2 years between cuts (I know, so bad!). But I felt at ease here. Before starting, G San took a look at my hair and talked to me about what I wanted and what's best for my facial structure. Quality: Went in to get my roots touched up and whole head toned for the first time ever- I've always dyed my hair at home so I missed a lot of spots in the back and my hair always came out super brassy/orange. But Min did such a great job walking me through what the steps would be to achieve the ashy/brown hair I wanted and he did EXACTLY that!! I honestly had no doubt or concerns because he was very careful and professional. But I requester a super light brown dye and ended w this super ugly dark dark redish black. those color that ur great aunt used to dye their hair in the past. I think this will be my go-to salon now! :D From the appointment scheduling to the minute I left the salon, it was overall a good experience, and it exceeded my expectations (granted, my bar was set on the last salon I went to, which pretty much did the bare minimum). I scheduled my appointment with them via messaging on Yelp, and it was pretty seamless. They responded timely and were flexible with when I had to reschedule my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I arrived on the dot (I know, I should have arrived earlier), and I was immediately assisted after checking in with the front desk. I had pretty long hair, and chopped off about 6 or 7 inches. My stylist was May, and I told her what I wanted. I showed her a couple pictures and even asked for her recommendations. I told her I preferred to still be able to tie up my hair, so I didn't go TOO short. I then finalized my request as shorter hair with some curtain bangs for a bit of style. Then, I was assisted by Josh, who shampooed my hair before my haircut. This was so relaxing, by the way. It wasn't just a quick wash--they also massaged my scalp. This took about 5-7 minutes, I think, and then I was off to May's chair. Before the cut started, they showed me their drinks menu (apparently they have complimentary drinks!), so that was exciting for me lol. I ordered their Brad Pitt, which was really good. It had like a cream foam on top, and wasn't too sweet, so I really liked it. May then started cutting my hair, and as soon as my drink was made and given to me, May paused the haircut so I can taste the drink before time passes and the ice melts, so that was nice of her. May was very gentle the whole time, and I felt comfortable with her. Conversations were light and amicable. After the cut, she styled my hair, and then made a few more adjustments/cuts to fix any unevenness. Throughout the time I sat on her chair, I was already thinking about the Yelp review I'll be making lol, so that should pretty much say how good of an experience I had. After my haircut, I was able to stay for a few minutes on the table in the middle of the salon to finish my drink. I also asked May what she'd recommend when I come in to get my hair colored, and she gave me her input, which was very helpful. She also complimented me and told me that my base/natural hair color looks nice :') Overall, I walked out loving my new look, and I'll definitely come back! P.S. my favorite cafe (Homeboy Coffee) is in the same plaza, so the location is definitely a plus, because I have more of an excuse to go to Homeboy Coffee when I get a haircut lol read more

I chose the Honey hot tea. It was nice and hot the way I like it and delicious too. Lilian came right out and sat me down at her station. Men's haircut stated on the website was $45 but I was charged $70. Decent cut using scissors, G San says he didn't use clippers which took some time cutting the sides. First time I've been to a salon where they did this, I'm not sure if I got charged that price because my cut took longer or what, but I don't feel like it was worth $70. Didn't want to ask about the price and deal with hearing why it was that price because whoever the tall lady that's working on reception gives off an extremely weird and negative vibe. The guy on the other hand is cool. I don't know what's up with that girl but she doesn't seem like a good fit for the establishment. As many of the other reviews stated, the customer service, relaxing/minimalistic vibe and the free coffee/tea service made my experience especially pleasant. It was akin to a scalp and neck massage that you'd get at a high-end day spa. May, my stylist, was particularly knowledgeable about how to cut hair and what made sense with my hairline. I don't know if you have ever gotten your hair cut and then got nervous, because you could tell that the person was, maybe, inexperienced or that they didn't really know what to do with your kind of hair. Well I have. I've been looking for a stylist for years, and I've found it in May. From the moment I sat down I was able to relax into the experience because May's knowledge and confidence in her skills was evident. I came in with overgrown, straight, side-parted hair and left with beautiful layers and super cute blunt bangs for the summer! I desperately needed a hair fix before thid year ends and I just found the right place! I just had my hair color done plus supposed to be a Brazilian treatment a couple of months ago from another salon which obviously damaged my already-damaged hair.
