I've had highlights done here before and they turned ok with hairstylist G. Service was good. I left a happy customer. However, today I came in with the same hair I've had for the past probably 15 years same hair color as when he did my highlights only this time I showed up with my kids as they are not in school right now. I know that it is not always desired, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called to make sure it was OK before showing up as to not surprise anyone I was told it was OK and I showed up prepared my kids had stuff to snack on to drink and to be entertained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Soon after I was put into the chair, G said that he could do anything to my hair that my previous hairstylist did too many colors in my hair and it would not look right. I have light brown hair with blonde highlights. Nothing has changed before I was there with my kids. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Soon as we walked in, I felt we were being judged. I could tell the employees were uncomfortable. I felt as I was being made fun of because my hair and basically told there's nothing they can do for me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], which is ridiculous because I've don't have a complicated hair color or style. I have thin medium length hair highlights basically always the same right you just want blonde a nice blonde. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm giving them a two because they've made me feel super uncomfortable for being there as a mother and their BS excuse why they couldn't do my hair after they said the color would be too complicated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He then said it would be too expensive. Excuse me when did I say it was too expensive for me how do these people know what my budget is? [[HIGHLIGHT]]I walked out very upset and embarrassed in front of my children never again will I come to the salon?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After experience I had today mothers are doing their best wanting to look good too even though kids are out of school right now we don't all have babysitters, and we learn how to do things and take care of business with our children alongside us. read more

I've come to All About Hair twice now for a haircut with May, and both times have been excellent! May really listens and delivers exactly what I ask for--usually long layers with face-framing bangs--and she does it with great attention to detail. The full experience is worth it: for $70 (not including tip), you get a hair wash, cut, and styling, plus complimentary coffee or tea. The hair wash is especially relaxing--they even include a light scalp massage, which made me feel completely at ease. Highly recommend! The pricing is competitive for the quality of service and amenities you receive. read more

Made an impromptu appointment here because my hair badly needed a cut and my sister recently reviewed this place with 5 stars. But I felt at ease here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon arrival, I saw almost every chair was full and was greeted by everyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was given a menu for their complimentary drink and I opted for an iced matcha latte. So yummy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before starting, G San took a look at my hair and talked to me about what I wanted and what's best for my facial structure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am absolutely CLUELESS when it comes to this stuff, so I always rely on the stylist. After, he asked me to put on their robe and I was taken to get my hair washed, along with a nice head massage. I think I actually fell asleep, it felt that great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was learning a lot throughout him cutting my hair and when Min was blow-drying it, he taught me some stuff on it too. My sister recommended this salon since I was looking for a new stylist. Since my usual salon closed during Covid, I've been on the lookout for a good place for my hair treatments. I was definitely overdue for a haircut, so I decided to book an appointment online with Lilian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The booking process was quick and straightforward.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff and team were friendly and clearly dedicated to their work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salon interior was clean and had a nice minimalistic design. Plus, the salon offers a complimentary drink from their cafe while you get your hair done (I went with an iced Americano.) Lilian was very attentive and did a great job with my hair! After our appointment, my hair felt much lighter and healthier. (A women's haircut with an experienced stylist is around $90.) A friend recommended this salon, and wow--what a hidden gem in Cerritos! The space feels so glamorous, and from the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and kind. My daughter can't say enough good things about this place. She has made it clear this is the only place she'll go for her haircuts, and honestly, I can see why. G San, their Creative Director, has a gift. He understands exactly what she's looking for every time which just ends up being a small trim lol even though I'm sure he would like to give her a new style, or something more creative. He's professional, skilled, and has this way of making the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free for her and for me as a dad, that's priceless. The parking can get pretty crazy here at this plaza so glad they have their own reserved parking for the salon. The place is always clean, and very welcoming. From the moment you walk in, the staff treats you very nice. They offer free drinks while you wait, which is a really thoughtful touch and makes the whole experience feel more premium. I had the most wonderful experience at All About Hair and G-San! I originally came in wanting a balayage, but after some thought, I decided to keep my hair dark and natural for my upcoming wedding. G-San listened so thoughtfully and immediately adjusted to what I wanted. When I told him I was getting married in two weeks, he asked right away what hairstyle I was planning for the big day so he could tailor the haircut to complement it and let me tell you, he and his team delivered! The experience felt incredibly personalized and relaxing. They even offered me a complimentary iced matcha latte with oat milk (delicious!) and some Korean snacks while I was getting pampered. To top it all off, G-San gifted me the haircut as a wedding present, which was beyond generous and so thoughtful. Tried this hair salon based on good Yelp reviews and very disappointed. Explained to the lady how I wanted the hair to look like and even showed her a photo, it came out nothing like what I asked for. The service was fast and price was very affordable, but I rather pay more to get the hair style I want. Maybe it works for others and I just didn't find the right stylist. read more

Hair by Min! Quality: Went in to get my roots touched up and whole head toned for the first time ever- I've always dyed my hair at home so I missed a lot of spots in the back and my hair always came out super brassy/orange. But Min did such a great job walking me through what the steps would be to achieve the ashy/brown hair I wanted and he did EXACTLY that!! I honestly had no doubt or concerns because he was very careful and professional. Service: [[HIGHLIGHT]]everyone is very welcoming and super cool~[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] also, they have a nice espresso machine where they make you complimentary drinks!! I got the Brad Pitt drink: latte with foam on top (it was nice having a cup of coffee while getting my hair done and also smells like coffee instead of strong hair chemicals) Inside: this salon is designed and maintained so perfectly. The interior of this place is done in such a tasteful way I didn't mind sitting for a few hours while they made my hair even prettier. OVERALL: All About Hair definitely exceeded my expectations and I want to try their 60 minute head massage 10/10 recommend this salon!! read more

First they know what they are doing and they won't cut corners when it comes to your hair. They are professionals through and through and their knowledge of hair is evident. Also, they all work together when they can to get the job done. Also, I appreciate their hospitality. A drink menu while you wait is nice. Bonus for bringing my young son a menu too and for being sweet to him. In the end, I absolutely loved my hair. It looked good. It felt good. The only downside for me is the cost. It is more than I usually pay but in this case, you get what you pay for, and I'm glad I did. read more

But I requester a super light brown dye and ended w this super ugly dark dark redish black. those color that ur great aunt used to dye their hair in the past. My hair is so frizzy after the whole work, not sure what happened. Many salons these days cannot lift hair colors. Saying trying to protect ur hair, but they will suggest to bleach, isnt that even more damaging. Not sure whats wrong w salon industry, if they are trying to kill their own business or what??? I think this will be my go-to salon now! :D From the appointment scheduling to the minute I left the salon, it was overall a good experience, and it exceeded my expectations (granted, my bar was set on the last salon I went to, which pretty much did the bare minimum). I scheduled my appointment with them via messaging on Yelp, and it was pretty seamless. They responded timely and were flexible with when I had to reschedule my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I arrived on the dot (I know, I should have arrived earlier), and I was immediately assisted after checking in with the front desk. I had pretty long hair, and chopped off about 6 or 7 inches. My stylist was May, and I told her what I wanted. I showed her a couple pictures and even asked for her recommendations. I told her I preferred to still be able to tie up my hair, so I didn't go TOO short. I then finalized my request as shorter hair with some curtain bangs for a bit of style. Then, I was assisted by Josh, who shampooed my hair before my haircut. This was so relaxing, by the way. It wasn't just a quick wash--they also massaged my scalp. This took about 5-7 minutes, I think, and then I was off to May's chair. Before the cut started, they showed me their drinks menu (apparently they have complimentary drinks!), so that was exciting for me lol. I ordered their Brad Pitt, which was really good. It had like a cream foam on top, and wasn't too sweet, so I really liked it. May then started cutting my hair, and as soon as my drink was made and given to me, May paused the haircut so I can taste the drink before time passes and the ice melts, so that was nice of her. May was very gentle the whole time, and I felt comfortable with her. Conversations were light and amicable. After the cut, she styled my hair, and then made a few more adjustments/cuts to fix any unevenness. Throughout the time I sat on her chair, I was already thinking about the Yelp review I'll be making lol, so that should pretty much say how good of an experience I had. After my haircut, I was able to stay for a few minutes on the table in the middle of the salon to finish my drink. I also asked May what she'd recommend when I come in to get my hair colored, and she gave me her input, which was very helpful. She also complimented me and told me that my base/natural hair color looks nice :') Overall, I walked out loving my new look, and I'll definitely come back! P.S. my favorite cafe (Homeboy Coffee) is in the same plaza, so the location is definitely a plus, because I have more of an excuse to go to Homeboy Coffee when I get a haircut lol read more

I found this place on Yelp. I saw it didn't have a lot of ratings but all the ratings it did have were 5 stars so I thought I would give it a try and help out a new business. So glad I did! I was hesitant at first because I am Latina and the owner is Asian. I wasn't sure he was used to very thick Mexican hair. But he did great! Here's my goal pic and before and afters. I'm loving it! I will be back . Ambiance was great and customer service even better. They offer complimentary drip coffee and tea also from their adorable coffee bar. Also the best thing about this place is it only took a total of 2.5 hours. A hair stylist has never taken less than 6 hours for my extremely thick hair. Ask for G San if you want to try it out. Each stylist offers a personable experience for every client. Pricing is based on the stylist's experience level. After checking in, I was provided a complimentary drink menu (teas, coffee) that I was able to select from as I waited for my stylist to be ready. My stylist took the time to get to know what I was looking for while providing me suggestions on whether the style would suit my facial structure. My first experience was nothing short of wonderful. The place is well decorated with many beautiful live plants and a simple minimalistic design. They start by offering a hot or cold drink menu. I chose the Honey hot tea. It was nice and hot the way I like it and delicious too. Lilian came right out and sat me down at her station. She asked many questions, took photos and started dry cutting my very long hair into long layers. Before she started she placed a plastic face shield on my forehead to protect my eyes. Loving the location and the fact they had the hair she needed was a delight and excitement as she was preparing for a lovely Valentine's/Presidents Day weekend! She just knew everything was falling into alignment. She entered the store, easily found everything she she needed, and due to her research, knew exactly how much her items would cost; taxes and everything included. The clerk rang her up and as my dear friend was just about to go on about her lovely Friday evening, she stopped and look at her receipt in hopes to celebrate how spot on her math would be. But unfortunately, she was stopped in her tracks as she noticed an exuberant additional amount charged over her own calculations. $60 worth of odd charges. She had a "things that make you go hmmm..." moment. My dear friend inquired about the additional charges and was met with what seemed to be "I'mma make some bs up so this lady will get out of my face" energy. My dear friend did not like this and asked for the manager and the clerk responded the manager was busy. Friend asked for the manager's name and the clerk gave it and it was the name of the clerk. Friend asked "Is that you??" The clerk responded "Yes." Friends' mind was blown and her annoyance grew. Friend asked for an explanation of the charges and like most businesses that attempt to take advantage of customers, when it got down to the core of it, the manager couldn't explain the charges and offered a refund to her debit card which would take 7-10 business days. My friend wasn't buying it, demanded an immediate cash refund of the over charges and wasn't leaving until she received it. I don't blame her at all. If you knew my dear friend, you would agree she is a lovely person and definitely not the person to play, scam, lie, cheat, or steal from. It would not be wise. Eventually the "clerk/manager/I accidentally over charged you $60 for some hair" came to her senses and refunded Friend in cash and all was calm. In a time when everyones money has an assignment and very few of us can enjoy luxury let alone have spare time and change to beautify ourselves, the last thing we need in a place as sacred as the beauty supply store, is the mindset and ill-political strategies of "wanna-be" oligarchs. This really ain't the time to be messing with anyone, especially women when it's time to get our hair done. This business needs to do better and realize many of us ain't too busy or distracted to read our receipts. This is a warning to them to stop pressing your luck. I had a great experience with G San yesterday! My hair was overly heavy, and he did an amazing job thinning it out and giving it shape without taking off too much length. He was incredibly meticulous and really took his time to make sure every detail was perfect. I absolutely love how it turned out! BEWARE. Shady business practice. Brought my son for the $15 haircut on 7/14/2026. My son asked for…read morea zero fade on the sides and just a bit off the top to clean it up. In short, the haircut was not done well. Instructions were not followed. Fade is uneven and doesn't shape his head well. The top was chopped and not clean. Made my son look like he has an egg shape head after the cut because of how much she brought it in. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself. Furthermore, during the haircut, she looked visibly frustrated about how my son's hair was looking, and kept shaving more off. Probably from inexperience, but that's my opinion. I didn't complain at the moment because it's $15 and my son's hair grows back fast. When I get to the register, the lady charges me $20 instead of $15. I asked why, and she responded because my son's hair is long and he asked for a zero on the sides. Ummm ok, but you didn't say anything about charging more before the haircut. She claims she told my son, and I did verify with my son afterwards that she did say it. However, since he's underage and isn't used to paying for things yet, he thought her saying "It's 20, not 15" meant the length of the hair on top and not dollars. Whatever, I'll pay the $20. Card got charged and I leave a $1 tip. Lady asked why I left $1, and I said because you raised the price without telling me (and because it was a terrible cut). She's frustrated and I ask her what's wrong. She tells me she worked hard on the haircut so she deserves a tip. I tried to explain that she just made an extra $5 off me and I gave her $1, that's $6 (40%) compared to what should have been a $15 haircut. Overall, we came to a heated conclusion that it was a misunderstanding. But the audacity to demand more from what already was a crappy situation tells you all you need to know about this salon. Yea, I am wrong for going to salon instead of a barber, and yes, I get what I paid for. I'll accept that if the salon can accept their part in this situation also. To the business, if you are relying on tips, then charge more for the haircut. Also, be upfront about the pricing because what you are doing can arguably be called Bait & Switch, which is illegal. To the lady that cut my son's hair, just because you worked hard doesn't qualify you to get a tip. You didn't follow instructions. My son didn't like his hair and I didn't like it either. Truly, ask yourself if you even deserve a $1 tip just based on the quality of the haircut alone. Some other things I noticed too. - I was supposed to get cut after my son, but the lady took another customer instead of asking me if I was next. Just poor awareness and customer service. - All the Korean men that entered were promptly greeted, while non Koreans were given silent treatment. I'm not going to assume anything. Just something that I noticed.
