I am astonished at the kindness of Jamie, first and foremost. To do everything she could to help me, a new client, never even been there before. Not berating me for what I had done and spending the time to teach me about what I did wrong, what I can do in the future, showing me how to style my hair etc.. Secondly, I am astounded at her talent and knowledge and demeanor about the entire art of dressing hair. In one session she turned my ORANGE roots to a nice deep red color and pulled through some highlights (properly) to even out the tone with the rest of my deep red hair and through a simple trim, without taking much hair off at all, reshaped and styled my hair, layers, and bangs. She took her time, she showed me what to do, explaining things along the way, she was honestly THEE best hairdresser I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. There was a small dog in the salon that had apparently peed on the couch in the waiting area earlier in the day. No one mentioned this when I arrived, and I ended up sitting on that couch for about 30 minutes. When I later brought it up, the dog's owner mentioned that her husband had cleaned the spot with Lysol earlier in the day. However, my pants still smelled like pee afterward, which was really uncomfortable and embarrassing. The apology also felt pretty insincere, which made the situation even more frustrating. I completely understand that accidents can happen with pets, but I do think it's the owner's responsibility to make sure guests are aware of something like that -- or to make sure the area is fully cleaned or blocked off before someone sits there.
