I just wanted to let you guys know that Courtney chopped off all my hair without my consent back in 2022 and then had the audacity to tell me my reaction wasn't OK when all I did was cry and Express how I never consented to that, i'm positive my ex friend paid her off or told her to cut it that short regardless as a professional why would you do that? It's still doesn't sit right with me till this day. Her excuse was "I thought we were cutting from the shortest layer" after I asked her for a layered haircut, That's really big to get mixed up and I don't want happening to anyone else. Book with her at ur own risk, I will say she's a great colorist, but horrible with communication, attitude, and cutting hair. After some deep diving, it turns out a lot of the hairstylist have cut hair way too short without people's consent. I really don't recommend coming here if you value the length of your hair and value, your voice being heard.

I would absolutely go back to her for styling again. Unfortunately, the overall experience in the salon was overshadowed by something pretty unpleasant. There was a small dog in the salon that had apparently peed on the couch in the waiting area earlier in the day. No one mentioned this when I arrived, and I ended up sitting on that couch for about 30 minutes. When I later brought it up, the dog's owner mentioned that her husband had cleaned the spot with Lysol earlier in the day. However, my pants still smelled like pee afterward, which was really uncomfortable and embarrassing. The apology also felt pretty insincere, which made the situation even more frustrating. I completely understand that accidents can happen with pets, but I do think it's the owner's responsibility to make sure guests are aware of something like that -- or to make sure the area is fully cleaned or blocked off before someone sits there. It would have been very easy to simply warn me. Lena was fantastic and did a beautiful job with my blowout! I do hope the salon handles situations with the dog more responsibly in the future.

I went back for a second time to get it fixed and he argued with me about the haircut being uneven. I was hoping they were going to fix it but I just left feeling worse. The only positive is that they are processing a refund but I will not be returning. I have booked an appointment elsewhere to get it fixed.

Once I walked in, I was kindly greeted by their receptionist and got a glimpse of the boho decor and gorgeous salon in its entirety. My stylist, Brittney, was prompt and quick to gauge what I was looking for with my cut and jumped into work. The care and attention detail she provided during my wash, cut, and curl was so comforting, and I love interacting with the other staff members there. Pricing was fair, and the atmosphere and aesthetic of this place was everything. I would definitely recommend this place to other folks.

It freaked me out somewhat at the time, although we laugh about it now. In addition to handling the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy yoga studio in her past, this rock star of a person also has been doing hair for years. To call her a Hair Stylist, Stylist or Color & Hair Extension Expert is an understatement, she's been taking care of tresses & updos for a long time, since high-school actually. I trust her with my locks on a monthly basis. Scheduling with her is very easy and she always leaves me feeling like a movie star or a million bucks (same thing really.) Prior to creating Prim Salon with her business partner Megan, she worked at Panache' Salon near Seventh Street and Missouri. This beautiful pair began searching for the right place to launch a small salon for just the two of them. They looked into Office Buildings, Strip Plazas and even considered buying a small house in the Biltmore or Roosevelt areas. Many months later, they spotted the new Salon Studios that were created in the Moda Fina Jewelry building near Camelback Rd. and 32nd Street. There is also a CoreBalance business upstairs that offers Yoga, Spin, & Barre classes. The Salon Studios opened in May and have about 9 or 10 suites/units that offer Hair Services, Waxing, Facials, Sugaring, Eyelash Extensions, Chemical Peels and I believe that one of the Aestheticians offers Eyebrow Threading. There may even be a suite or two open at this time, stop in and check the place out. Better yet, look up "Salon Studios on Camelback" on google or facebook for more information. Prim Salon is one of the largest suites at the recently opened Salon Studios. Prim offers 2 chairs, a wash station and it feels roomy and chic. The tone of the room is elegant and relaxing with broad white and silver strips on the walls and 2 huge mirrors with intricately carved white frames. There are also broad hallways with comfy chairs to wait for your partner or your appointment. Kate has been going to Brittany for about 3 years now and truly appreciates Brittany's calm approach to almost any issue. She's had extensions, highlights, cuts and blowouts and continues to look amazing each & every time that she leaves Prim Salon. Parking is a breeze here. I pull in and occasionally score with covered parking, otherwise keep driving and there are additional spaces on the East side of the building near the back entrance.
