Yahaira patiently repaired my badly damaged hair today after a horrific ombre attempt at another salon. My hair was fried and I was very resistant to apply anymore bleach to correct the color so I had gone a year with hair I hate, unsure of what to do. I was using a purple shampoo another salon recommended, which turned my hair green. Yahaira took all of my concerns and expectations into account and artfully was able to cut most of the bleached hair out, correct the remaining color and returned my hair back into a healthy and lustrous condition. My hair looks and feels amazing and I will never trust my hair to another stylist ever again! She is extremely skilled and patient, really listening to what you want while providing honest and constructive feedback. Salon is charming and warm, staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you consider all the times she did my hair when we were kids I guess you could say Yahaira has been my hairdresser for 2 decades!! She listens and does exactly what you like and some. Let me start this by saying I'm probably a stylist's worse nightmare - I'm a low-maintenance 'wash and wear' kinda girl and I don't care what haircut I get (usually once a year), as long as it looks good. I can imagine a stylist would like a little more direction for their client's cuts. I came in last week for a simple cut and Olaplex treatment and was assigned to Jenna. I told her that in the past, I usually get razored layers. She gave me beautiful face-framing layers and my hair has been super soft and manageable since from the Olaplex. She offered to use a razor but suggested otherwise since it would make my fine hair look thinner. I'm just going to repeat my review from 5 months ago. Another great shag cut from Ricco! Patience of a saint too. Lol I've found a stylist! I was in need of a new stylist that I could trust to listen to me and do what I asked, as I've had some recent bad experiences with haircuts. I was tired of going to "fancy" salons, paying a small fortune for a cut, and feeling I had to get dressed up to go there. I decided to try a local place and made an apt with Ricco to shape up my long, thick hair. Good choice! Hair Gloss Salon was clean, casual and relaxing. Prices are not crazy high. I had an event on Friday and went to a bunch of different hair salons for extensions to see which one I wanted to go to. It was Thursday afternoon when I went to Hair Gloss. They looked at my hair and told me they could try to order my hair and find a spot for me on Friday (super last minute) They ordered my hair, got it in by Friday, and did my hair. Not only was the staff amazing but they worked hard to get my hair done in such little amount of time. I have never gotten extensions, so I was a little nervous but the end result was amazing. They cut my hair, washed it, and the extensions were put in so well no one could tell! I got so many compliments and now I wanna go back every time I need extensions. My mom recommended Hair Gloss salon to be when I was visiting her in Deerfield Beach. Yahaira colored, cut, and styled my hair. She is awesome! I wanted a really natural highlight to give me a sun kissed look and not streaky. She did it perfectly! While I was getting my hair done, Jennifer gave my daughter (with naturally curly hair) the best haircut she ever had and French braided my other daughter's hair. Hair gloss was recommended by a friend of mine. I'm very picky about who cuts my hair and have been going to the same person too far away for over 15 years. I've tried many places and never seem to find one that works for me. It's not like I have complicated hair it's just a personal choice. The shop is a diamond in the rough, found in this little strip mall in Deerfield Beach. Yaharia, the owner, is a miracle worker. I am a mature woman with thin and baby fine hair. After she's done with me, and I come home, my husband says I look like a model. My hair is shiny, healthy looking, thick, and beautiful. She's a whiz with color, hair cutting, and most of all styling. I've been to a lot of salons while in Florida, and her pricing is amazing compared to a lot of shops. How can I put this into words.....Kristy is the best hair stylist I have met in a long, long time. My stylist had moved 1.5hrs north from me and I was worried about finding a new stylist to handle my difficult hair, cuts, dye jobs, highlights, keratin, blowouts...etc. Not only was Kristy professional, friendly, courteous and welcoming, she went above and beyond with her care to my hair. Dianne was my stylist and was very knowledgeable and patient about discussing my hair needs beforehand as this was my first visit to the salon.
