The APPT, was at 9. I came on time, didn't leave until 4/5 PM. There were several people put before me for whatever reason even tho I was there first. Te also quoted me 120, which she then said the total was 160 after finishing. Saying it's $40 additionally for the haircut. Overall the energy/vibes was a bit off and the service wasn't that great. And now my hair is over-processed. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend at least for certain styles or if you're on a time crunch.

They responded quickly and said I could come in at 8 or 9 and that credit cards are accepted for an additional fee. I arrived Friday morning at 815 and there was already two customers being serviced and only two braiders. I waited about 30 mins and another braider showed up. (I believe she was Mimi). As she prepared the braiding hair two young girls who would be helping them arrive. She had the one who looked about 15/16 wash my hair. It was not a good experience as she kept wetting the right side of my face and neck while washing my hair. Then when I was seated in the styling chair "Mimi" proceeded to blow dry my hair very roughly. I could feel that the right side was still wet and I said something. She somewhat touched it, but never really fully dried that side of my head. It wasn't until she went to start parting that she realized my hair was indeed still wet and had to go back in with the blow dryer. "Mimi" started braiding my hair on the left side and then the other young girl who was about 18 or 19 began braiding the back. Mimi did both the left and right side of my hair and then the 18 year-old did the rest of the style. I will say she was a neat braider, but you could tell that it was her first time servicing a customer. She was extremely slow, kept pulling on loose strands of my hair (she apologized every time) and looking for assurance that she was doing the right thing from "Mimi". Unbeknownst to them I could make out some of what they were saying and it was obvious that she was coaching the girl on how to braid my hair. This made me uncomfortable, that I was being serviced by an amateur. Then when I asked for the price of the service I was told it was going to be $240. I thought that was a bit pricey, but given the price increase on most things these days, I just accepted it for what it was. Then a few hours into my hair being done I hear "Mimi" ask the braiders if I had washed my hair there. I thought this was odd because she was the one that gave direction to the young girl to wash my hair. When they confirmed that my hair was washed, she said "oh no her price is not gonna be 240 it's gonna be 260". Then when I finally close out my tab, I'm told that because I'm paying with credit card an additional $10 was being added. She explained that square charges and so she puts that on the customer. But square charges her $8 and change not $10. Paying $270 for medium size knotless braids mid back is crazy to me when all of the other girls around me were getting butt length Boho braids for $280. The braids look nice and took 6.5hrs. They were respectful, the space is clean and they play music videos. But the price for the service was a turn off to me. It was also a turn off that an amateur was doing my hair. I won't return but if you do try them out establish price before you get started, walk with cash and wash your own hair.
