I have warn people about the lack of care this salon has…read more 1st time I drove to the salon, spoke with the receptionist told her I have VERY THICK CURLY HAIR. she called over a stylist I spoke with her about full highlights, she agreed I needed extra time I booked the appointment for 3 week later (1 day before my husband retirement party) I show out for my appointment and they had 2 hours (not the 4.5 hours know it tales from having my hair done for over 30 years at Aveda's all over the country) the stylist greets me and says there is no way she can do my hair in that time .. sorry.. walks away. I flip demand to speak to a manager. Manager says they are all booked but is willing to take me the next day at 3pm (two hours after the party I am prepping for) I ask if they can stay late or do tin the morning and she says they are fully booked. So I go to my husband retirement party with 3 inch roots ..... thanks swear to never use the place again. fast forward 3 years, my stylist moves, and I a on a hunt for a new salon. I loved and was loyal to Aveda for 20+ years so I decide to give them anything change. go in talk to front desk again they call up a stylist that is an expert in curly hair. we set up an appointment , I request extra time. I show up and they have me blocked off for 2 hours again. I sit down tell her I want tights and a dusting for a trim I am growing my hair out. she cutes my hai to my shoulders cutting 10 inches (for those of you that don't have curly hair 7 inches of length on my hair springs up to 3-4 inches in length . so I now have a 1980's chopped bell cute that is right below my ears and 4 inches wide on each side all one length no layers and my hair is 4 different colors of chick yellow. After I insist on a toner . I leave and swearing never to return. They might have "Aveda franchise but it is a "Super Cuts" in disguise.

Located at 6070 Seminole Blvd on the West side, and quite close to another favorite of mine, Aloha To Go Hawaiian Bbq - just across the street... talk about two birds and one stone! My first visit I had the pleasure of meeting Stylist Lauren who was quite outgoing, very friendly and enthusiastic especially considering I was a "Walk-In". I requested a "High&Tight" military style cut after being seated and she delivered quite well! I was very pleased admiring my new-do... When she said "that'll be ten bucks, I replied; "That's a deal at twice the price" handing her a twenty spot. I posted a few pics and posts on S/Media and low behold about 9 weeks later it was time for another cut to freshen mi up a lil bit. The next visit as a "Walk-in" with just a short few minutes wait for the man currently in the chair, Stylist Cesar welcomed me and asked what I needed done. Again going with a "H&T" military short cut, he performed as well as I could expect. Another deal at twice the price! I haven't met their 3rd Wheel Susan yet (maybe she is the first???) but I'm sure I will get the pleasure soon enough. The shop has easy access, easy close parking and is light, bright, clean & airy and a great deal at $10 for basic haircuts. There is reading materials for those brief waits as well. I will be a returning customer and do hirecommend, they also do most womens services as well and they DO take appointments!
