The team took the time to listen, understand my hair history, and deliver results that exceeded my expectations. The quality of their work is absolutely top notch, and the attention to detail truly shows. Hands-down, I will be coming here for the next 30 years if they're still around! If you're looking for a salon that combines professionalism, skill, and a genuinely great experience, you must try Salon 20/20

I went in July 1 2025 for hair & makeup for my much anticipated first ever maternity photo shoot!!…read moreHannah was my stylist. My makeup was 10/10. Highly recommended. However, I am absolutely heart broken to say my hair was not done well and not HOW I ASKED it to be done. When I made the appointment, I asked for heat rollers to be used because even though my hair curls & holds fine at home, when I get my hair professionally curled it never holds. THE OWNER REPLIED TO MY GOOGLE REVIEW SAYING MOST SALONS DON'T HAVE HEAT ROLLERS. I WAS TOLD BOTH TIMES I CALLED THAT HANNAH WOULD BE REMINDED TO BRING IN HEAR ROLLERS. SO NOT ONLY WAS I LIED TO, BUT THE OWNER COULDN'T EVEN BE EMPATHETIC AND APOLOGETIC BUT INSTEAD BLAMED ME FOR NOT ADVOCATING BETTER FOR MYSELF. The morning of my appointment, I called again to remind them to ask Hannah to BRING IN heat rollers to use on my hair. I requested them a third time when I got to the salon for my appointment. Hannah shrugged it off, saying she believed the "velcro rollers" would only give me volume and not curl and that she would curl my hair with a curler & pin it for a few minutes to let it set. I trusted the professional, but I should have stood up for myself and insisted on using heat rollers. Within 30 minutes of leaving the salon, the curls were gone. I was absolutely devastated. This maternity photo shoot is obviously a huge deal, once in a lifetime thing, and I just spent $155 (tip included) for great makeup and flat, straight hair. I was so disappointed that my requests were not met. My appointment was scheduled to be three hours long, but it only took two hours if that gives you any idea how much shorter "pinning my hair" took than the heat roller method would have taken. I rushed to Ulta, seeking some sort of last minute option as I was absolutely heart broken that I had just spent so much time & money on my hair that was an absolute fair for such an important event. Ulta curled my hair for $30 and those curls lasted for most of the photo shoot. They also wondered why the salon wouldn't do what I requested and even said heat rollers is the tried and true method that worked for our mothers and grandmothers, having no idea what Hannah meant by "velcro rollers that don't curl your hair." Anyways, I made the best of the photo shoot (which was cheaper than the hair & makeup) but having to drive in 3 hours & out 3 more hours and spend hundreds of dollars and take off work etc etc I would have liked to have gotten the hair style I asked THREE TIMES for. Great salon, great makeup, etc but fine hair'd girlies whose hair may not hold a curl super well beware Photo is my hair within 30 minutes of leaving the salon.

I want to deinfluence anyone from having the same experience I did today. I went in for my appointment for a simple haircut and while there were a slew of other issues, I can overlook those. I cannot overlook her public outburst in the salon. I am not exaggerating. She was attempting to finish up the appointment when I had pointed out I wanted my hair shorter (I had done numerous times) when she gave me a scary look and began screaming at me that she can "only take so much" and "I dont know what im talking about or how to do hair", she ripped the cover off me and with it pulled my hair yelling at me that im "fired", never to call her again and much more. I was shaking and began leaving as I am non confrontational and she followed me out demanding I pay her. I was afraid of any escalation so I agreed and cried waiting for my ride. I have never in my life faced an outburst by any hair stylist. I now have an incomplete haircut as she refused to cut it to my desired length as well. I had a bad feeling about her and dreaded my appointment all week! I guess I wasnt being paranoid. Please never make the mistake of booking her....

I have been seeing Betty for 10+ years and when I first met her, she studied my skin tone, my face shape, and my hair shape before ever doing my hair. I highly recommend you call Hair Prints of Louisville right away and book with her. Did I mention she is also the owner and they sell Aveda products?! Truly Betty is flawless in every way possible!! She leaves your hair looking stunning and makes you feel so amazing about yourself!!! She has saved my hair and truly met my hair goals time and time again. So in over 20 years of having manicures and pedicures done at a wide variety of salons, although I…read morehad decided a couple of years ago that L.A. Nails in Okolona *was* the one that provided the most horrible salon service ever, hands down, Kim Davis (not to be confused with Rowan County Clerk making headlines), bless her heart, took away that trophy this year. I'm not even going to put all the sordid details in writing, because there is a word limit, and the pedicure was so *unbelievably* sloppy and unprofessional that only photos could possibly give credulity. It was so bad, I'm actually ashamed to post photos, but I must, as proof. I arrived a bit early, and Kim was with someone. Once done, she went outside for a lengthy cigarette break. So I had to wait. She was pleasant, but literally silent during the whole episode. I had to force even minimal conversation, and I'm not a chatterer. Glancing down periodically, I felt sympathy as I presumed this must be her first time, as I watched her shakily get globs of polish all over the skin of my toes. Or maybe she was on something? I asked her how long she had been doing nails. To my shock and disbelief, she told me she had been at that salon alone for at least 15 years! I half suspected from time to time that this was a joke being played on me. No one could be that bad at doing a pedicure, not even a child! She did mention that she had a terrible headache. After the whack job of a shellac pedicure (see photos), I left out in shock, rushing to work, but called back later to mention very tactfully how she completely scribbled all outside the lines. She offered to redo my feet that weekend, but then texted within an hour of the appointment to reschedule for a week later. There was no way I was going to go that long looking crazy and hiding my feet. She gave me stories about the shellac machine being broken, waiting for a plumber for days, etc. I just asked for a refund after all the runaround. Kim promised to mail me a check the next day, asking me to text my mailing address, which I did. No refund ever arrived, even after weeks. Groupon (yes, Groupon, unfortunately) wound up having to issue the refund. Thank goodness for Yelp. Aside: All the crustiness around and on the toes is NOT dead skin or any part of the toes. It is sloppily applied, dried shellac.

As my Yelp review history will show, my expectations for Great Clips are already at rock bottom, so…read moreI can't say I expected any better from this chain, and I never will. It is straight up garbage-tier from my experiences, and I haven't even bothered leaving reviews about all the subpar service I've received because nothing ever changes. But as this was a different location than the one I previously reviewed a few years ago, I thought maybe things would be different.  For some context, I only opt for Great Clips when it's the only option I have. Like when I have no other way to style my own hair or I'm short on time for an event/party, because God knows these people don't know a shampoo bowl from where the sun doesn't shine. You only need look at most of the other reviews at, oh, all of the locations to know this.  But on this particular day, I didn't even need what I would call a blowout. I just wanted my hair washed and dried. Easy enough. Wet it, swirl it around the shampoo bowl and suds it up, rinse it, and blow dry it. Unfortunately, all the better options (real salons) were booked. I thought surely someone who managed to get a license to cut hair could handle this task, so I looked online via the Great Clips online check-in app and chose this Outer Loop location, which stated there was a wait of 39 minutes. I went ahead and checked in -- not that this system is ever accurate, but that's another story. By 4:40, as I had left my home, I received a text that my turn would be up in 15 minutes. I arrived at the location at 4:49. When I walked inside, I was greeted by a man with glasses. I saw on the computer screen that I was the next client in a list of three. He asked if I had checked in, and I said yes, and gave him my name on the screen. I clarified that I didn't need a cut, just my hair washed and dried, because that takes less time than a wash, cut, and dry (obviously). He proceeded to tell me that it's store policy since they don't have enough staff that they don't wash and dry hair that close to closing time. He also mentioned the store was understaffed. Excuse me? I told him I had never heard that before, and he said it was the policy. I said some very colorful words in response (not sorry) and exited. A massive waste of my time. He sarcastically told me to have a good day as I left.  I have a short asymmetrical bob and thin hair. My hair takes about 15 minutes to wash and dry total. I only wanted it dry. No style. No curl. Dry. He didn't ask what I needed or wanted, just turned me away. So let me get this straight: instead of perhaps calling me to ask what I needed or asking me what I wanted done, I was just refused service despite being there on time and during my check-in slot. Also, there was an hour and 15 minutes and such left of this store's operational hours. You could fit in haircuts, but not a simple wash and dry?  I suppose this man thought I wasn't worth the fee they charge for a wash and dry, but joke's on him. I always leave a GENEROUS tip because it's such a convenience for me to have my hair styled when I need it done by a third-party. How was there not time to fit me in when I was a customer just like anyone else who needed their hair cut? I guess the perception that since I have pink hair was strong here -- maybe I looked to poor to be worth a profit.  Here's what's not my problem: 1. That your location is understaffed. 2. That you have a "store policy" that you didn't bother to call and confirm with me. I believe a haircut is about $19 from what I recall the last time I had stopped in for a french braid at another location that was miraculously able to complete. A shampoo is $8, but I never end up tipping less than $15. But every cut, if you're doing it correctly, should include a wash or at least a wetting of the hair, at least in my experience. A cut takes the longest out of an entire schedule for hair styling. It takes the most expertise. Clearly this was a LAZY move. This review doesn't end here. After that, I called the horrendous Mud Ln. location I left a Yelp review for in 2017 as a last-ditch effort. The check-in system showed a 0 minute wait time. I asked if, I came over in the next 10 minutes (it was 4:53 at that time), if they could wash and dry my hair. The rude and clueless woman told me they had two people checked in (not reflected online) and couldn't answer me. I asked her, told her it was a yes or no question, and she replied that she couldn't tell me. How do you not know if you can fit something in? Do you not have eyes to see? Do you think a wash and dry takes a literal hour? I hung up on her. I didn't get my hair washed and dried anywhere. Instead, I came home and wrote this review and I'm going to share it online everywhere. This business is the most useless establishment I've ever visited, and I'm honestly shocked it's somehow still operating seeing as a wash and dry must be a monumental task for its "employees". Absolutely pathetic.
