I told the stylist I do not want to have to style my hair regularly so it needs to fall under without using a round brush. I have had this style many times before without any issues and for the first few days it fell nicely. But after a few days, after I had left the country, it completely flips up and it looks cut all uneven. My hair is a complete disaster now. The sylist (senior!) spent about 5 minutes cutting it dry (which was a first for me) so perhaps that is not surprising. Going to have to find someone in Europe to hopefully fix it so I can look somewhat professional. One of the worst haircuts of my life, especially for the price.

Well, Ryan actually helped me out. He's certified in L'Oreal color, so he used his fellow contacts to find me a salon in the Triangle. Douglas Carroll! I'd heard of Douglas Carroll because I'd seen their photos in hairstyle magazines when I used to buy those years ago when I lived in Charlotte, but I'd never been to the salon in Raleigh. I took Ryan's suggestion and made an appointment after getting some stylist recommendations from the DC Salon. I brought my hair color formula with me from Dallas, and Luanna the Raleigh stylist was able to take that and just keep right on going with my hair. Whew! She was able to cover my greys and give me a trim I liked. The salon itself has a cool vibe -- lots of hair stations, a great color mixing area in the back, plus a section up front with various hair products. Parking at this location can be tough depending on what day you come. I'd recommend making an appointment during the week if you're able.

It meant the world to me! As a woman in her mid-40's the last thing I need is to feel self-conscious about my hair. I left there feeling beautiful. Everyone here was incredibly friendly and genuinely serious about their craft. The level of skill at this salon far surpasses others at the same price point. Noah was the main stylist who worked on my hair and he was amazing. But what was most impressive was the way the whole team worked together to ensure myself and the other clients were taken care of. I also really appreciated their honesty about the state of my hair and the fact that it would take a couple sessions to fully correct what was done at the other salon.
