Very disappointed experience. I walked into your salon excited for a fresh start and left extremely disappointed. I chose your salon because of strong reviews and came prepared with detailed reference photos showing exactly what I wanted (front, sides, and back). During the appointment, I had to stop the stylist twice because the haircut was not following my request. Even after explaining again, the final result still did not match what I asked for. My eyebrows were also not done well either. As a stylist, I would expect a better understanding of what I was asking for, especially after clearly communicating it and providing reference photos. I expected my instructions to be followed, especially after clearly communicating them. Instead, I now have to spend additional time and money getting both my hair and eyebrows fixed. I had not had my hair done since March of this year Professionally because I had lost a few of my siblings tragically and recently my mom, I have PTSD and I fell into a deep depression. And recently fought getting justice for a dog that a man had burned over 90% of her body and was successful in getting him the max sentence and put in prison, I was emotionally depleted, I had really wanted to get my hair highlighted and my hair dresser is back in Ohio where my family is. I wanted to feel better, and at least look better so I chose the Hair spa. My first visit in August was good the stylist is very sweet and she had did a nice job including style and the price was awesome. So I decided to go back the next month in September for more highlights, to my surprise the bill was more and I didn't get style and left with my hair wet she had a client waiting and I decided to let her take her next client and head home, but I questioned the bill. She said it's inflation. At 100%??? I contacted my bank to dispute the other half. Tipping is separate and I tipped 30-35% each time. That wasn't the dispute. The owner Mendi contacted me and said she would credit my account $90 if I dropped the dispute and gave her salon a second chance, that I wasn't charged enough my first visit by mistake. She rang it in wrong, when I came back October 25th the credit was $65 not 90. I mentioned this to the stylist. We agreed on a partial highlight and haircut. After the process I said my hair looks very brassy. She said your under a warm light. I paid my bill minus the credit and tipped her. When I got home I saw my hair was indeed brassy. I instantly called the salon and my hairstylist answered and agreed to redo it the next day because I was having major surgery on Thursday and would be down recovering for 6 weeks. The redo on my hair was rough. She said your hair isn't lightning up and I have to mix up more stuff. Sadly it made my hair way worse and a large patch of white circle is on top of my head and didn't blend. The brass still there. When I left I was upset hundreds of dollars in services and tips combined, and I also tipped the second day too because that's her time and I just wanted it fixed. I contacted Mendi the salon owner via Fb messenger with photos of both visits 2 days in a row, this was the second chance she asked for, I had only had my hair done professionally at a salon one other time this year and it wasn't in Lafayette. . I asked for receipts which came cut off, and details of totals and payment methods missing. She said she was trying to make the best of a bad situation. She never even commented on the photos which are horrible, the amount of money to fix this will be another few hundred. She offered to refund me the other 90 from the second visit I disputed and said she would refund the money to my card on file, I informed her that card was cancelled and I have a new card, she said she refunded it and it didn't bounce back. My bank said there's no way a refund went to my card that card is void, I emailed her back to let her know but she insisted it went thru. I waited and contacted her again with my banks phone number and she never contacted them or responded, my bank contacted me because they wanted more details on the receipts and some were cut off I contacted the salon to get my receipt I needed and was hung up on by the receptionist, then my husband called back and he too was hung up on. I let my bank know, I emailed Mendi one last time and she sends me a message saying I've contacted other salons in the area and your a problem this isn't the first time you've done this! Like I destroyed my own hair? Paid and tipped well, I have only had my hair done twice this year. Since Covid 3 times, one wasn't in Lafayette at all. Calling other salons to slander me? This has been the only dispute. She is a bully she lied never refunded me now contacting other salons giving me a bad name lying, all I wanted to do was feel better thru all the grief. This woman has put me thru hell. Then lies horrible about me salons in my city by calling around to places I've never been too. Horrible. I've filed complaints with my bank, BBB, the Indiana Atty General and the indiana cosmetology board. Having your character assassinated also a veteran, and a person living with PTSD, the exchanges have made me have several panic attacks I'm already on medication for because she was hostile and then gave other salons false information about me and also said I was a problem at other places knowing I've not been to other all these places she accused me of. Like it's my fault my hair was damaged by her salon! I've contacted my attorney as well, Be careful the prices change and before you pay and put your card in their machine know what your charges are before it's too late. This is a wonderful salon! everyone here is always very friendly. The Salon is very clean and looks great. Mendi is super energetic, and always give me a great cut and style. I went to this salon a little over a week ago. I wanted a Balayage color I ended up with more of Ombré with dark on top & brassy color all over my bottom & some mixed in @ the top. I was very shocked my hair has never done this before, so I knew I was going to return to fix the color before I even left. I returned & was very nervous & didn't want to attempt anymore bleach. I didn't want my hair any worse it looked horrible so we decided to go dark & cover it all up it ended looking better then it did. Not thinking that I would have to pay again to fix my hair I was charged again. The owner of the salon made the stylist charge me again. I don't blame the stylist for that since she really didn't want to charge me the owner on the other hand definitely doesn't take care of her customers & make sure they are satisfied & must not care to much about her employees cliental because I definitely won't be back. read more

I will NEVER return here again! It was my first experience & is most definitely my last! I didn't even get close to what I wanted. I asked for highlights & dark chocolate brown low lights. The low lights are the exact same color as my natural hair color, the highlights turned out white, cooper, & a brass color. The so called "hair cut" I received was only a trim when I wanted a cut with layers. I went back in today so they could fix it, which they put toner in my hair AGAIN, & the blonde is all one color now. But the dark chocolate brown, they couldn't make it the color it was supposed to originally be because of the way the lady did all the color to begin with (which like I said before wasn't done how I asked for it to be done). I paid for two colors & ended up with screwed up highlights & my natural dark blonde color as my low lights. Not to mention in certain spots the blonde & the brown blended together!!! All I wanted was toner put in my hair & my money refunded & they refused to refund my money! I went in there expecting my hair to be how I wanted it to be, after all it wasn't cheap so I should have received what I asked for or my money back. Lesson learned, NEVER AGAIN. read more
