This must be the most fake reviews I've ever read. I came for just a simple haircut, I even showed a picture of what I wanted and the stylist completely went off doing whatever she wanted. I dunno why she couldn't just TELL ME she wasn't properly trained or better yet, can't do the hairstyle?? But no, her response was, "Ok." Sat there for an hour watching her look confused and lost, constantly asking me to show the picture again and again like it's her first time seeing a BASIC haircut. During the process, I washed my hair THREE TIMES because... UHHH I DON'T KNOW?? I guess washing my hair is gonna solve her failed styling??? Or REGROW my hair that she already cut off??? I felt like a practice head doll for her to experiment on and what's worse is I had to PAY for it...And she had the nerve to say "So pretty~"... GURRRL, Why you straight up lying to me and to yourself?? I can't believe she's trying to be cute about it knowing she clearly messed up! Haircut took ONE HOUR, I ended up looked like I cut my own hair at home with some dingleberry scissors...Sharp weird CHOPPED ends, omfg I was so speechless and STILL AM. I was so pissed off that I had to sit there for this crappy haircut for an hour and pay for it. I wished she would've just told me she didn't know how to cut hair and I would've saved my money and time and gone somewhere else that can ACTUALLY know how to cut hair. 11/10 super satisfied I went in with a few reference photos of a 90s, early 2000s layered bob, and Kriss understood exactly what I wanted. I'm always really picky about my hair, so I usually have to ask for adjustments, but she nailed the style and length. She took her time to neatly section my hair and was very thorough in cutting off the parts I wanted (and needed) to get rid of from years of bleaching. I usually don't do any crazy or fancy hair so i always needed somebody who is legitimately good at haircut. Because haircut is the most basic but yet most important part of hair styling. Kriss basically knows whats she's doing. Before even taking her scissors, she studies the shape of your head and analyze how she's going to cut your hair. Since everyone has a different head shape, the way of trimming, layering, and cutting hair must be different with each person. Basically you're getting a "customized haircut" that perfectly fits your head shape and which fixes the problems you always had from other hair salons. She exactly knows which part must be volumized and layered so that your hair looks great in any angle. After done haircutting, she personally teaches you how to style your own hair - which is always great tip for myself. Another great part of this hair salon is the friendly environment. As the owner of DAB, Kriss not only cares about the customers but also her employees, which makes the whole environment filled with laughter and joy. OMG. I just don't know what to say.. This stylist made me to log in yelp and write a review, seriously. I am very lazy in writing any kind of review anywhere on the internet but this time, I really do have to write about my haircut. I have had many hair stylist who messed up my hair before but this is the worst that I ever seen in my whole life. I usually don't complain too much about how bad the haircut comes out and just tie up my hair for several month until it gets long again. But this time, I just cannot stand... not even one single day with my hair looking like this and i need to go to another salon tomorrow morning to fix my hair cut. It just looks like I chopped it myself at home with regular craft scissor. I think I can even do a better job than this even if I do it myself at home. Kriss is ABSOLUTELY the best!!! After 10 years, I had taken a little break to support a friend who had recently graduated from hair school and my hair ended up getting really damaged. I went back to Kriss today, hoping she could salvage what was left of the broken pieces of hair. It was so bad, Kriss' eyes even watered at the sheer heartbreak of the state of my hair. She recommended that I go to see a hair extension specialist who specializes in extensions only. She called them for me and set up a consultation. I went in wearing a hat and left with a full set of new custom extensions and a smile on my face. I appreciate Kriss' honesty and will definitely be back soon for hair treatments and styling from her! This is my 2nd review and I still love it here!
