AVOID THIS PLACE…read more Went in for a haircut late April due to their 20% new client discount and to try them. Showed up for my appointment and the salon was dead empty (1st red flag) with their discount on papers plastered everywhere (2nd red flag). Had to wait 10 minutes as they got my hairstylist who was doing who knows what in her car....(3rd red flag). I asked for a simple "modern mullet" hairstyle similar to what I nornally had with just the sides shaved and top and back trimmed. My hairstylist then proceeds to shave my sides almost all the way to the top, so I resemble "Cillian Murphy" from Peaky Blinders. I get it caters to a female clientale more, but really....? Turns out the 20% discount ended up not even mattering. The total cost was $40, but yet I had to pay $36...(20% of 40 is $32). Still, I chalked it up to just a bad haircut at a shady place and I could move on. Yet, turns out AGAIN, my debit card info was stolen from here, resulting in multiple DoorDash orders totaling over $500. So I beg anyone, avoid going to this place or you definitely will be paying for more than just a terrible haircut.

I brought in photos of the color I wanted, the approximate length, and a verbal description of what I was looking for in a style. I was worried it would not come out well because I've had really bad experiences with getting my hair cut (see previous review of Fringe), but this place went above and beyond. I got the exact cut I wanted and the color is spot-on. Apparently this salon is pretty new (only open for a few months). But if you're considering coming here - do it. You won't regret it. Isis spent A LOT of time on my cut and color (almost 3.5 hours) and it only cost $85!! Amazing. Even with the $20 tip, that's still significantly less than most places in D.C. would charge. She was thorough, very nice, and continually asked me if I was okay (is the water too warm or cold when shampooing? How long would you like the side-sweep? Do you want some water?). It's rare to find this level of professionalism, courtesy, and talent with such a reasonable price tag. Especially in the D.C. area. I then asked if I could schedule an appointment, but the person who answered hung up right after I asked. I called back to try again, and the individual on the phone was still very rude. They said they had a 6:00 PM slot available. I confirmed that 6:00 worked for me, but they repeated multiple times that they close at 7 and that 6:00 was the only time available. Each time I confirmed that 6:00 was fine. At this point I started to get agitated that I had to repeat myself 3 times just to confirm the time. They then asked for a phone number to confirm the appointment. I said that if they could see the number I was calling from, that number was fine to use. After a moment of silence, instead of responding normally, the person suddenly yelled "HELLOOOO?" into the phone. I explained that I thought they might already have my number, but I could provide it if needed.
