Done. It was an instant hit. I wanted the pastrami sandwich pictured on the website. Turns out, it was every bit as good as it looked. Probably the best I've had in the Capital Region. I think it came with coleslaw but they let me switch it for a small salad. The beer was cold. The server/ bartender was both friendly and efficient. The food came up relatively quickly. I was relieved and delighted. The tavern has just the right look. It's cute from the outside with nice signage. Inside, the lighting is dim-- especially at night--with the feel of a cool dive bar. If you want a more festive setting during the summer, there's outdoor seating complete with hanging string lights. That actually looked very inviting but my friends chose to stay indoors due to the threat of rain. As we prepared to leave, my friends were wondering why they hadn't been to the tavern before. One thing for sure is that we'll be back for more "good cheap eats" and great beer.

Chips, Potato Salad, Mac and Cheese, the Japanese eggplant, and the Kimchi Coleslaw. (I think we passed on the beans because they had pork in them.) They were FABULOUS! I mean, I've had plenty of BBQ sides in my time, back when we were carnivores, and I've tried them all. I can think of maybe two or three others that were the equals here, but for a limited run of options, it was non-pareil. Wings were cooked completely; a timer is used. But meat on drums stuck a little to bone; I like it to fall off. It is typical of most places not to have meat fall off bones.
