I live in NYC so wasn't expecting much, especially when we walked in on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty. But the food was delicious, we had a fish curry and a vegetable mango dish, both were very tasty. read more

First time for us eating Indian food. Although my dinner partner did not like, I enjoyed having a different eating out option besides Italian or Chinese. I enjoyed tastes and spices that ai am definitely not used to eating, and I definitely plan on going back to try other dishes. only reason for 4 stars was that "salad" could definitely use a more flavor able dressing. Was very bland and not enough on the sliced vegetables. please warn about the goat to first time customers! Was surprised to chomp down on a piece of bone, until I googled and found out cooking/serving with bone is common.......prevent choking with future new customers and let them know! I've been here a total of three times for lunch buffet, each time bringing along someone over 70 that had never had Indian cuisine before. They all were wary at first but they all loved it! Having lived more than 10 years of my life through Central and Southern California where there's an abundance of ethnic foods to try, I was thrilled when this place opened. I hadn't had Indian food in a good 7 years! This did not disappoint. If you've never tried Indian food, buffet is the way to start. Most items on the buffet are gluten free and they are awesome about answering allergy questions and accommodating customers with menu items. The buffet changes daily giving you an opportunity to try new things along with favorites you'll discover. Different rices, noodles, veggies, chicken, goat or lamb, salads, chutneys, desserts, yum! The food is super fresh and packed with flavors you might not be able to identify but can't stop eating.and their fresh naan, I wish I could have gluten! Looks, smells, and I've been told is delicious! Very reasonably priced. It's very clean, modern yet comfortable and relaxed. I'll be blunt, my family is filled with Indian food snobs lol. We are picky & that's okay. This is the first Indian food restaurant short of a hour drive that we love! The service is always fantastic when you dine in, the decor is simply refined- higher end pretty, the food is consistently great- my 7yo daughter finally tried some of our plates & now she's OBSESSED with korma & rice lol! The lunch buffet is a budget friendly way to check it out, it doesn't suit our tastes but it's not them, it's us. Tons of options, price point is average for this type of meal (usually about $20-$30 a person for our usual items) 10/10 go try it! read more

The service is always on point. I have a food allergy and they went out of their way to go through every item in the buffet that I should avoid and every item on the menu. It's a comfortable restaurant. Was very capable. People running it. Some of the dishes that love are the tandoori vegetables. The calamari dish in the appetizer category is really different and well prepared and quite tasty. Don't let your prejudice keep you away from Indian food because you think it's too spicy. It is not. I ordered lamb l p h a a l. It was billed as being spicier than vindaloo. The restaurant did not tone down the spacing as is usual with most restaurants. The dish had plenty of lamb chunks in it and the sauce was spicy and delicious. read more

Seriously good Indian cuisine! Have eaten in their other restaurant in Albany area, also very good, but the Amsterdam venue we feel is even better! Extensive and interesting menu that will require several visits to adequately explore. Will say that service was pretty slow but when we looked around, we understood why: Saturday evening, and the place was packed! They may have been a bit under staffed that night but we both agreed that trading a little extra time for Indian food of this caliber is well worth it and long may they prosper! read more
