The location, the venue, the service, the drinks all excellent! There's a large bar and plenty of table seating on the large lanai. I had the Lava Lips...so good. Hubby had the old fashioned!

We took a last minute impromptu tour of this distillery and we are so glad we did. Anthony and Jojo greeted us right away and were friendly, welcoming and informative during our tour. We got solid tastings of the whiskey and rum along with their in house chocolate bitters which are incredible. My husband got to chat Anthony and Jojo up and ask a lot of questions and neither of them seemed annoyed with having to have conversations and were eager to share their stories and experiences with us! We also learned this is a veteran owned business with veteran employees and my husband being a veteran himself really appreciated his conversation with Anthony. The inside has a comfortable and well decorated vibe and they have a beautiful outdoor patio complete with a cool old Army helicopter. We each had two additional cocktails on top of our tour and all of them were well made. We ended up taking home a bottle of the Rum and a bottle of the Whiskey. This is my second time in Oahu and I had told myself I don't care to come back but this place has a gin they're working on that just might warrant a weekend getaway. Also for my philanthropic folks, this place was instrumental in helping out with the flood recovery here in Oahu l. Thanks Haleiwa Distilling!

First time visiting the distillery with my cousins who are locals. We got to take a tour of the place and try the HEART ‍ Who knew Hawaiian rum would be so good!! Definitely a place I'd visit again when I'm back. The staff was great. The outdoor area was so nice and they had live music.

Fun hang out, came for the night of music. Loved the beach vibes and outdoor seating area. I enjoyed the rum by itself, was too crazy about the limited cocktail list. I tried all of them, they were just ok.

I've always wanted to see what the vibe was all about and today was the day. I was greeted by the bartender, Anthony. He was welcoming and knowledgeable and made me a delicious and refreshing Hibiscus Mocktail. The distillery had a comfortable and laidback vibe. I'll definitely go back and you should too!!!

Laid back ambiance with unique story! Enjoy the service from the team and the tour of the distillation process for their rum and whiskey. Cocktails were awesome!!

If you have the time and are visiting the north shore, stop by the brand new Haleiwa Distilling Co. (They just opened this month) Tucked inside the historic Wailua Sugar Mill, this distillery is an aesthetic masterpiece of rustic charm meets tropical with thoughtful touches throughout. (I mean, they somehow even got a helicopter in there) If you're looking for something unique and traveling to the North Shore, this place should be on your list. Now, let's talk drinks. I'm a sucker for spicy drinks, and Sarah, the bartender, nailed her recommendation with the Lava Lips. This cocktail is my new favorite with both spicy and sweet aspects. Its a mix of Hawaiian chili pepper, pineapple juice, local lime, and of course their signature Mana rum. The balance between the heat and the sweetness was perfect. It was so good, I had to get it again. For those who like something sweeter, the Mana Sunrise was a second favorite. With Lilikoi, banana, and fresh lime, it was refreshing and great to sip on while watching the sunset. The vibe was laid back and a great place to relax; it is a true embodiment of the North Shore. I can't wait to return, not only to try the rest of the menu but to take home a few bottles!

Fun place! Stopped for a beer but the real reason to check it out are the rum and whiskey offerings. Live music was happening and the string lights were lit. Still feels pretty 'new', but it's a cute place. Food trucks and a solid taco stand with plenty of outdoor seating were the on the pathway to get in- (and the tacos were great!).

I highly recommend Haleiwa Distilling the atmosphere is so chill and inviting, I've been there for karaoke/trivia on Fridays their live music on Saturdays so far and what a blast! They just came out with their whisky and it is delicious. Nate is an amazing guy and super personable. They even have a food truck on their property. When you get a chance head on over bring your friends and relax you won't be disappointed.

Service was great. We had a Mana Sunrise and enjoyed learning about this new Rum distillery. Its a very chill place with lots of events happening. Just opened in July 2025 working to grow. Definitely a place to check out on the North Shore. August was our bar tender - she was great!. Be sure to stop in and stay a while!

From the moment you step into their welcoming tasting room in the Kapaʻa Quarry area, you feel the aloha spirit mixed with pride and craftsmanship. As a veteran-owned distillery (shoutout to the incredible Marine Corps founders), the entire experience radiates honor, passion, and attention to detail. What truly made the night what unforgettable was absolutely loving the live country music night. Paired with signature craft cocktails made from their spirits, local beer on tap, and delicious food truck eats. It felt like the perfect fusion of island hospitality and Southern comfort. The energy was fantastic, the crowd friendly (lots of locals and visitors mingling), and it turned a simple tasting into an epic evening we'll talk about for years. If you're on Oahu, do yourself a favor and make the trip to Koʻolau Distillery. Perfect for date nights, group outings, or a solo whiskey adventure. Tours, tastings, events, and that unbeatable live music atmosphere make it one of the best experiences on the island. Mahalo for an outstanding time--we'll be back! Highly, highly recommend. 10/10. There wasn't much of anything other than the single rickhouse area, so when we went back in 2025 it was nice to see how much they had expanded. A nice, full tasting bar, plenty of seating area (outdoor and indoor), and an expanded rickhouse. The employees are friendly and give great recommendations. Definitely loved seeing how much they've grown in the 4 years since we visited. They had more expressions to try this time around, which was great because I got to do a flight of their releases. My wife got a cocktail which she enjoyed. This place is definitely a good vibe for any whiskey lover visiting O'ahu!

Island Distillers is located in Hawaii-Kai; very close to everything, yet feels so far away. It's located at the end of a cul-du-sac with free street parking and marked spots just off the road. The gate is welcoming with painted yellow slippahs to guide your way. The main building is the actual distillery; you can peek inside and see where all the work is done. They do offer tours, but you have to schedule ahead of time (this would be a great activity to plan for visitors). The next building is the store and tasting room. It's well lit with natural sky lights. The bar is along the back, here you can try all their liquors. As of this writing, they have Coconut Vodka, Hibiscus Vodka, and the only known Hawaiian spirit known as Okolehao (this was my favorite). In the coming months they will also offer different varieties of rum. The owner was very friendly and ready to talk about their products and story of the location. He had fresh bananas hanging to enjoy as well as a large selection of bottles to buy to-go and clothing items with their well designed logos. Be sure to check in on Yelp for a free shot glass! The outdoor lanai has a number of tables all shaded next to a pond, waterfall, and garden. On the hill is sugarcane. He will be serving free pizzas to compliment the alcohols; be sure to keep an eye out for updates. This is a wonderful stop for anyone that enjoys locally made goods and wants to get away from town for an hour or so.

It's highly recommend making a reservation online. However we couldn't book online, but we called about an hour before and were able to get in. I also had no idea the tasting itself was complimentary, which made the experience even better. Our Rumtender, Randy, was awesome! He walked us through the history of Kōloa Rum, explained each variety, and shared his favorite ways to enjoy them. It felt more like chatting with a friend than sitting through a tasting. Safe to say we were convinced--we ended up bringing home two bottles!
