This is a great place to stop for a fruit drink while in Haleiwa. It's just across from Giovanni's shrimp truck. There is parking for $5, but it can fill up at busy times. Love the look of the shack and all the chickens that are busy scratching up their own meals around it. There are several picknic tables where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and watch the lines at Giovanni's and the chickens. The staff were very nice and offered good drink suggestions. We got the Hawaiian mix and a coconut. The fruits and coconut were really good! My issue is that we waited 45 minutes for it (we were the only order at the time but the staff was taking other orders and giving them their orders first). There was no sense of urgency from any of the staff to get our order in our hands. Almost had to ask for a refund since all they were doing were chitchatting and flirting. When I saw this place on TikTok I knew I wanted to try it! It's right off the freeway, in an area that has a variety of other restaurants nearby. The parking situation is limited with it being 2 dollars if there is parking. If not you have to park along the road. I got the Hawaiian Mix for 25 dollars and I couldn't even finish it! There was Pineapple, dragon fruit, star fruit, jack fruit. Papaya, grapefruit, lychee and passion fruit! Sooo good! The guys working were very kind and they moved quickly. The cane juice was great and they do offer other drinks. I think if you're visiting this is great place to try as it's in the vicinity of other food trucks. All food has been ordered and now picked up. My son has barely moved in the line. 3. After waiting a few minutes out of guilt, we make some decisions. We start eating our food, and my wife takes my son's place in line. 4. We're done eating our meals. I go and take up the spot in line while my wife goes back and sits down. Needless to say, we're exasperated at the slowness of the line. 5. I finally get the order in. From this point forward it takes a solid 15 additional minutes until they cut and serve the fruit. One common thread I notice on the reviews for this business is the fruit platter. As in, it drives most of the complaints. I'm not sure if the service is always this slow. And I've had plenty of fruit at stands around the world where things get cut up and presented in a matter of a few blinks, to serve as a reference to what is possible. Please get the process streamlined to save your customers from walking away - because quite a few did. Pre cutting the fruit and having it available for quick service would be one thing that can be done. Friendliest people by far! I had a crappy sour hot coconut the day before and a world wind of events to follow and needed to redeem myself. Note, yesterdays coco did not come from here. The girl working assured me the coconuts here was good. she made sure I tried it before leaving. I even got mangos and sugar cane juice. I came back 1/2 hour later with my coconut asking if I can get it cracked to eat the insides. They had no problem doing that. Yay. Fruits are not the sweetest, but perhaps it's all they had that day. Tuesday, 3/01/2022 - Went to try Haleiwa Fruit Shack. Address is 66-472 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712. It is food truck-ish. A cute little shack full of fruits. There is a $2.00 parking fee. It's one way in and one way out. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) we got a parking spot right away. We backed into it so it'll be easier for us to drive out. 2) mix fruit platter was good. Actually all of our fruit platters were good. 3) mango platter was good. Mango was very sweet. 4) the guy that took our orders was very nice and accommodating. 5) plastic utensils are located on the side in a drawer. 6) plenty of tables with umbrellas to sit and enjoy eating our fruits. 7) all the tables and benches were clean. Cons: 1) we bought 2 coconut. They tasted like th very were getting old. It was kind of sour. We didn't drink it. So we went and asked the guy if we can get 2 more to replace these 2 nasty tasting ones. He did provide 2 more. They were a little better, but not sweet. 2) you have to ask for napkins. None were provided when he gave us our fruit trays. Conclusion: I like this little fruit stand. The guy was very nice. Most of the fruits were good. They even had hot sauce or those spicey/sour sprinkles on the side of their shack if you want to add it to your fruits. read more

We stopped in Haleiwa for some lunch as we were taking a drive through the North Shore for the day. We parked in this little outdoor food court where the Giovanni's shrimp truck is located and also saw the Haleiwa Fruit Shack as well. They have a few picnic tables set up and we ordered ourselves a bowl of fresh cut fruit. I asked for no papaya, but did get the papaya anyways, but I didn't want to complain as there were other people waiting. The fruit was very fresh and tasty. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy our fruit. There are other trucks in this same area, including some with dessert offerings and other lunch fare. I love the fruit stands on the island, but coming from in town to try this place really disappointed me. I got the hawaiian mix fruit bowl and before I got it I asked what it comes with, she told me it comes with sugar cane sticks (one of my favorites and the only thing that i wanted the bowl for) and when I got it and started eating it I realized it didn't come with any pieces of sugar cane. I then go back to ask if I can atleast buy it seperately and that I didn't get any. She then rejects me and says no we are closed. Waste of money and time!
