I am strongly disappointed in the way this dealership navigates their "as is" vehicles. I was unaware that this was an "as is" vehicle prior to meeting with them. It was not displayed on their advertisement and was not disclosed during our chatting prior to my 2 hour drive out there. The vehicle was not cleaned and had no evident maintenance efforts. I asked several people in the office if they could give me some information but they told me they don't do anything beyond an "inspection check" and "oil change" due to the age and mileage.. but I question that more now after learning they failed to do the oil change on this one. I was then directed to the financing room, I should have walked right out that front door. That was my mistake. Above all else, it's very disheartening that there is no way they weren't aware of this cars issues. They watched me drive off, knowing I had my small, medically fragile child in the backseat. This vehicle was all I had to transport to and from hospitals and appointments for my child. I didn't expect anything extravagant as I knew my budget was limited. Less than a week later, I learned the entire emissions system was failing, failing catalytic converter, evap system, malfunctioning fuel tank, and a dead battery. I now have a vehicle that needs over 3k in repairs and barely runs with no possible solution. I've lost my faith in humanity after this experience. read more

They will sell the car out right from under you, while I can understand with out anything down cars can't be held, we came in Wednesday just to look at a car listed on the website, which we were told was sold to auction ok no biggie, they tried showing us other cars none of which were in our budget or we liked for one reason or another as we were getting ready to go we were told let us show you this car we can work something out and they did bend over backwards to try to help fit it in our budget however to have the funds to pay for it we had to agree to a settlement with insurance to pay for it and it would take about a week to get it, they had husband fill out all the paperwork for the car we spent about 2 hours there doing so including a document showing intent to purchase with a date of the 13th and even got the temporary registration in hand. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't that legally binding for both parties once documents are signed. They turned around and sold it the next day which I would be ok with that because yes no money was put down, but it would have been nice to know when they called to "check in" if we had heard from the insurance yet, and we hadn't at that point, we could have asked the insurance to instead of totalling it out for a larger amount of they would pay for the lower cost of repairing the damage, because the car was still mechanically sound, and just needed a door. Because they couldn't give us the courtesy of knowing it had been sold so when we did hear back from the insurance company we accepted the offer so we could purchase the car. So now not only are we not able to get the car, but we are down a car that still could have been salvaged. read more

Very very poor management sales and service. They advertise helping any and everyone yet they do not and can not!!! Their vehicles are high mileage and have engine issues, transmission issues and electrical issues. From May until now they've had multiple vehicles including a 2024 in their shop 3x already. Tried to sell me a 2010 chevy 4x2 with 187,000 miles on it for 9 grand and in the next 30 days dropped the price to less than 7 grand. Test drove the truck and it took to 4000 rpm to change gears. Clearly a transmission issue. Dealer refused to answer any questions about the vehicle. Within a week it had magically disappeared off their lot?? They aren't upfront or forthcoming about their vehicles, they're just out for a sale and commission anyway they can attempt to get you into a vehicle. Highly recommend avoiding this place and shop elsewhere. If negative 5 stars were available they'd surely have earned that. read more

Peter was great at the sale. My only issue was we arrived at 10:30 to purchase the vehicle, we drove 2.5 hours and had to wait on finance. We got home around 5pm. I get it was a Saturday, but having to wait hours to get into the finance was a bit much. The salesman Peter was great. Distance travelled didn't seem to be a factor. read more

If we could give Haley Auto Mall and the staff 10/10 stars, we would do it! The time had come when we knew we needed another vehicle, but we weren't exactly sure where we wanted to go. We drove by a few automobile dealers in the area. However, when we arrived at Haley Auto Mall, we knew that we were in the right place. Pulling into the parking lot, we wanted to speak to someone about a possible purchase. We happened to see a lady walking not too far from our direction. She saw us and paused, taking the time to help us get to the department we needed. We found out her name was Sharon, she greeted us with a kind smile. She, then, in a pleasant way, directed us where to go for our inquiries about a vehicle. In the sales department, our sales consultant, Izzy, was friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us the wide variety of vehicle options that were available. During the test drive, she highlighted the various features that were accessible in the vehicle as well as shared interesting data and facts about the vehicle, and answered any questions. The GM, Sales Manager and Trey were nice and helpful. Trey, who was very personable worked tirelessly to ensure that we received a great deal. The deal being one that met our needs and fit exactly what we wanted. Tyler, in the Financing department, who was also friendly, helped to secure financing through "crunching" and reviewing the numbers in the best and most effective way possible. After our purchase, but, before we left, Izzy did one more review of the key features concerning our new vehicle. Trey along with Izzy wanted to make sure that we knew about all of the "bells and whistles." Trey made certain that we had the corresponding App to our vehicle. He patiently saw to it that it was synched properly and walked us through it. They made certain that we were indeed satisfied with our purchase. Our overall experience at Haley was fantastic! Everyone in each department from Sales to Financing to Service and all others in between helped to ensure that we had a pleasant experience. We appreciate all of the staff who worked in helping us feel welcome including the Mascot, Harley who is a cute little French bulldog, belonging to GM Chris. If I could rate Haley Auto in FarmVille a ZERO I would but unfortunately to leave this review I had to give a star. Worst sales customer service ever! The only one who I can say was on her game was Taylor. However, her manager Jordan RUINED her sale and our purchase experience! Transferred the truck to Richmond right from under Taylor's nose knowing there was an appointment for us to see it. We live over an 1.5 hours away and after we were halfway there, a manager from RICHMOND store called to say the truck was sold!!! Meanwhile, Taylor had NO IDEA as no one ever updated the system to even show the truck was transferred. So not only did we lose the truck because he sent it to Richmond to be sold that morning, he cost Taylor a sale which would've pocketed her a VERY good commission. For a manager to do that to his sales staff is unprofessional and down right unacceptable. The customer service number has no idea what's going on so they just schedule whatever. The worst! NEVER take your vehicle to get serviced here !!! employees are very rude !! My appointment was at 1:30pm and I didn't get it back until around 3:30 pm...I automatically felt something was wrong because people who arrived after me ,for an inspection, left before me. I took my car in for a state inspection and my car broke down the very next morning AFTER passing inspection. On my way to the store with my 2 little kids, my car shuts down at a stop light in the middle of town, the belt breaks ...wheels lock up and my car started overheating. While standing on the side of the road with my broke down car, I called to speak with the service manager. He was very rude and denied any service mechanics physically touching my car to inspect it. After expressing my concerns that someone at haley auto messed up my car, the service manager expected me to pay to have them "take a look at it". This low end dealership over charges people and have lazy, careless mechanics "working" on vehicles, putting customers lives in danger. I will NEVER bring my car back here!!! I went in for an inspection in August, all was good! I thought maybe they would find some problem, but they didn't. I went back in a month later because of my breaks squeaking. They told me my pads were completely worn. How did they not catch how worn they were 4 weeks ago? I drive less than a mile to work only like 4 days a week. They said I needed 4 new brake pads, 4 new rotors, and 2 new calipers and charged me $1000. Upon my inspection, I noticed that they didn't replace two of the 4 rotors and I had to fight with them to get them to replace those (I already paid for them!). It was a nightmare. Three weeks later one of my calipers falls down while driving. Apparently they didn't tighten the bolts. I will never go back again. read more

I made an appointment for a simple oil change using the online scheduling system. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. I arrived ON TIME and did not get my vehicle back until NOON. Two and a half hours just for an oil change is unacceptable. The staff was friendly but due to the long wait I doubt I will be scheduling another appointment at this location. read more

I was going to purchase a Volvo from Carvana but, wanting to keep my money local I checked on the Haley website and found the same vehicle I wanted for roughly the same price in the inventory. After reaching out to the dealership Earl Foreman, a Sales Consultant, got the car ready for me while respecting my wishes for a socially distanced experience. Mr. Foreman was straight forward, respectful, and a real enjoyable person to work with. Like many people I dislike the "games" that I have experienced previously at dealerships. This was why I had I initially decided to go with Carvana. I can say the respect and level of service shown by Mr. Foreman made me glad I chose to give Haley a chance. When I needed to sign some additional paperwork, Mr. Foreman personally brought it to my home for my wife and I to sign so we did not have to come into the dealership. The level of service provided by him is something I have not seen for sometime in sales. If your looking for an experience that is based on service and respect, you will not find a better person to work with. After the sale was agreed upon I worked with Jeremy Williamson, who is based in the financial office. He is another example of an outstanding employee who treats the customer with honesty and respect. We discussed various options and he was very respectful of my final decision. The treatment I received at Haley has sold me on their business ethics. All too often we see reviews from the person who had a terrible experience. I wanted to make sure my positive experience was documented as well. My next vehicle purchase will certainly be with Earl Foreman at Haley and if your looking for a pleasant, local, experience perhaps yours should be too. read more

Terrible service! I took my dads car there to have the shifter (looked at) i told them i dont wanna spend any money. They never told me they were done checking it so I waited 2 hours then decide to check on them to find out its been finished! They basically told me a problem I already knew (the shifter was broke) but this gets worse...before i could get the keys they CHARGED ME 100$$ just for a diagnosis i didnt even ask for!! It was a waste of time and money for no progress. I simply wanted it looked at! DISGUSTING! The check engine light in my 2008 Honda Fit was on and I took it into Haley Auto to get it repaired. I am new to Farmville, and chose this location because I tend trust dealerships more than a random mechanic, knew they provided a shuttle so I could get a ride to work during the service, and had to get my car worked on right away because I often drive long distances. The service started with an $89 charge for a diagnostic test that they said would be specific to my vehicle. However, because I do not have a car that this dealership worked with, they used a Toyota diagnostic test on my Honda to tell me the same thing that Autozone told me an hour prior (I was informed of this charge in the beginning but accepted it as "the price of convenience"). I needed my first ignition coil replaced and new spark plugs. They also tried to up-sell me saying that "once one ignition coil starts to go, they all do, so we ask that you replace all of them," and that "replacing one coil may not make the problem go away." I refused after being quoted $500 to replace all coils, knowing that I was already spending close to $500 for the repair that was needed. They told me they needed to order the parts because they do not typically work on Hondas. I assumed they would have ordered new parts that were specific for my vehicle because I had to come in the next day to have the car repaired, but was sadly mistaken. Two months later, and the ignition coil I had replaced by Haley Auto was broken into pieces! I was also told by Straight Up Auto in Charlottesville that the spark plugs that were put in were "typically not seen in anything other than a lawnmower." I have not been more ripped off in my entire life. When I called Haley Auto about my issue, I was told there was no warranty for the parts I ordered because they did not typically work on Hondas and had to "backorder" the parts, though I was not told this at any point during my previous interactions when getting my repair. I have also contacted their Service Manager by phone and email and have yet to receive a response. Beware of this place for service work on your vehicle, especially if you don't drive one of their preferred brands. They put me in danger, and would not hesitate to do the same to you. read more

These have happened over the last couple of years 1. Took my truck in for inspection, checked lights and other things before going in. Was told license plate lights were out and needed replacing, commented they were working when I checked them before coming in. They said they weren't burnt out after all it was a short and they would repair no charge. 2 Took truck in because of noise seemingly to come from transmission told flywheel about to fly out and would probably come through cab and cause serious injuries. Cost $2400, got second opinion needed new flywheel bolts total cost $1200. 3 temperature gauge for transmission show it was over heating and tow/haul light was flashing. Took truck into haley, My research showed that it was a sensor. They first told me the mechanic test drove it and didn't hook computer up for a code I needed a new transmission. Then was told that there is no code when ithey hooked it to computer that mechanical don't doesn't show codes, codes are for electrical. Need new transmission 4k. Took it to another shop told them the problem without telling them what Haley told me. They said it was a sensor cost $400. Haley would have over charged me $4800 for all repairs. Take your vehicle anywhere but here. If they say you have something wrong ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION. I'll never patronize this place again. read more

I went to Haley Auto Mall to get an oil change, state inspection and apply new tires I had already bought online. When I called to speak to someone and ask a few questions I was transferred a total of 5 times because one department couldn't answer another departments question (Embarrassing). When I walked in to get my car serviced I was greeted my a not so nice man at a desk then referred to an even more unkind women (receptionist) who seemed very unhappy I was using a coupon. I picked my car up the next day, got an overall good price on the service. Two months later I start hearing noises from my engine. I took the car to my normal mechanic to be told that Haley had not changed my oil only "topped it off." Not only did I not receive a single smile from a single (rude) employee, (I'm assuming because I was not buying a car there) but I also received a poor service. I will never go back to Haley, and will be telling everyone about my experience. read more

I made an appointment for service for Monday and dropped my car off Sunday night. Monday afternoon I called to see if the car was ready and was advised a part had not come in but it was being shipped overnight. Tuesday it didn't arrive. Wednesday it didn't arrive. Thursday it didn't arrive but I was advised they "tracked it down, it's on the truck and will be in Friday". Friday afternoon I hadn't heard anything, I called and was told the truck was running late, would be here in 30 mins and if the part was in they would try to get it installed by 5pm. The advisor told me he would call and let me know either way. He did call me back and advised the part was not on the truck it would be in tomorrow but they wouldn't be able to install it until Monday. When I asked how this happened, how it didn't get sent "overnight" like I was originally told and how it was "tracked down on Thursday but still didn't arrive, the only response I got was "I don't know". I decided I didn't want to wa"it till Monday for them to tell me it wasn't on the truck again so I came in and paid the bill for the work they were able to complete. read more
