I'm so glad I came across this bookstore because you could pass so much time in here. This one is pretty hidden so you have to be intentional to find it. They have a wide variety of books from all over the years. They even have children's books. I was very surprised when I saw a clearance section because you don't see those that much in a used bookstore. "Half" price though? I wouldn't call it that mainly because a lot of their newer books are about the same price as retail if not more. I do feel like they jip you when you sell to them but that's not surprising. The organization was okay. It was still overwhelmingly crowded bookwise, so it wasn't too easy finding certain books. Some of the staff seemed rude and others were nice. This place is a hit or miss but definitely worth the visit.

Back of the store to sell your books

What I love about a used bookstore is the smell of old books! Musty, dusty, woodsy smell! Sometimes, you might find a book that's so old - it almost smells like bacon! Bacon = Heaven. Anyway, I love this store with it's decent selection of old records and CDs. Books are categorized by genre and organized by author's last name correctly. Currently with the pandemic, they are listing little signs everywhere that they're limiting one person per alcove. That way you won't find multiple people crowding around the same shelf. If you need to sell your old books, be sure to head all the way to the back of the store. Will you get a good deal on the selling? Probably not - haha, but it's nice to have as an option for extra cash.

Pretty awesome place with reasonable price books along with tones of other stuff. I'd rather shop here than B&N any day of the week

I know airport shops are expensive, but this experience made it worse. I used the self-checkout and…read morethe barcode and QR code on my drink were too close together. The machine scanned the QR code first, glitched, and called for assistance. The attendant was rude, stayed on her phone while helping me, and acted annoyed. I was told I needed to cover the QR code with my hand while scanning -- something that should really be explained or fixed by the store. Poor customer service and a frustrating checkout process. I'll skip this place next time.

I've never been a souvenir person, but I buy a lot of cheap magnets now that I have kids. I stopped…read moreby the Hudson News in Terminal D on our way out of Seattle and picked up an assortment of goodies for the boys. I've been to plenty of Hudson News locations over the years, and there's nothing special about this one except that it sells Seattle and Washington-themed souvenirs because it's in Seattle, Washington. There was a solid assortment of knick knacks and apparel, in addition to whatever snacks, books, and travel accessories you might expect to find at an airport shop. There were a couple stands of magnets, keychains, pens, and the like, with a buy-3-get-1-free deal on the magnets and keychains. This was a little confusing, and I overheard another customer arguing with the sales clerk about how many items she had to buy to get the freebie. I didn't hear the outcome, but the answer was three, with the fourth free. The deal also only applied to magnets and keychains and not the pens on the same rack. I learned all this when I checked out with my two magnets and one pen. I decided I didn't need any more Space Needle magnets than I already had in hand. I did also buy a larger decorative Space Needle souvenir, one of those shakeable plastic dealies with water and colorful confetti inside. I may not love souvenir junk, but this was a fun family trip, and I wanted my kids to take home a few tangible mementos. It was easy to get these at Hudson News.

4 perfectly working self-check outs, all "closed" with a handwritten note and a line 30 minutes long to check out.

Don't use this company. They agree to pay you a very small amount for your books. Then they do NOT…read morepay that amount, only after they have your books in their hands. They come up with flimsy excuses why you are not getting paid, the amount that they agreed upon. They told me that some of my book must have fallen out ( of the box). I said NO. I taped the box securely. Then they changed their minds and agree , on the phone to pay what I was expecting but when I got the amount paid to me from Pay Pal, they shorted me again. PLEASE DON'T USE this company. They are unethical and not trustworthy. I will NEVER use them again.

I am hoping…read morethis is affiliated with the same outfit, because the sticker (above, in the picture, saying the number of the book) is exactly like the stickers I get from online Thriftbooks. I am unsure, though, because this bookseller's name is in two words, instead. Anyway, I press on. I have been buying books from Thriftbooks for many years and have not ever been dissatisfied with the books I have received until now. I received a Celebrate Recovery Bible that had apparently been damaged in shipping. The reason for my searching this company down in order to give them five stars is that they handled the issue calmly and quickly and shipped me out another one, allowing me to just donate my damaged copy to the Salvation Army instead of paying shipping costs to return it to them. The Salvation Army will give it away free, I told them, in my local store. Two extra stars for that! And the customer service representative, Justin, was wonderful. The staff members who dealt with my written complaint were also as wonderful as Justin. Thanks, everyone. A word of "warning" for buyers before you purchase--Thriftbooks purchases arrive in flexible paper packaging, so it IS possible for them to get damaged en route, especially heavy books like Bibles.
