I admit I did not actually go forward with using them to repair my laptop, but that's because I had to ultimately just hang up the phone when trying to set up a time to get laptop looked at. The customer service people/intake crew were not very knowledgeable or helpful. Plus, after deciding not to go with Half Price Geeks, I looked a little closer at their website. They seem a little shady as far as prices. $60 for a "tune-up"...plus extra to actually do anything, but the prices to do additional services aren't shown. You should not be required to pay $60 for a diagnostic and then who knows how much to actually fix the problem. read more

Great Service!!! Yesterday my laptop hard drive crashed, and it had all of my important documents on it for work. The tech was very knowledgeable on the phone, and scheduled a same day appointment to come out to Plano. The tech did recovered all of my data within a couple of hours,because he understand my situation to recover my data quickly for a project, or he was just damn good at he's job. The price was lower then everyone I called for their mobile service to come out resolve my hard drive issues on the websites. So I highly recommend!!! read more

Pros - Very good service & quick response time. Once they are on site, no time is wasted. I have used them several times and have not had to "re-fix" a problem. Cons - Yes, they are pricey & you can not contact the tech directly. If you have a question, you have to wait for someone to call you back. (However, they do call you back within a reasonable amount of time) It would be nice if they offered referral discounts as I have several clients who would benefit from their services.
