Let me be clear that Dr. Ochaney wasn't really the problem -- although his bedside manner was lacking. The issue was his staff. After twice explaining my symptoms and trying to get an appointment, I was repeatedly directed to the ER. The second time, his staff suggested my symptoms were life-threatening and I felt obligated to go to the ER. That visit alone cost me more than $1,000 -- despite my request to simply move my appointment up sooner. Again, this is effectively a customer service issue and not necessarily a problem with Dr. Ochaney. Nevertheless, I'd recommend you skip this doctor and find someone in Columbia or Annapolis if possible.

Obviously, he will provide input, but he isn't the type to rush you to the operating room if treatment may resolve you concerns. Pat ent care is his priority.

He will run further tests until he can figure out what is wrong. He is very good about fitting people into his schedule whenever he can, even if that means working through lunch or late. The nurses are all very kind and if you call, he will always get back to you either by lunch time or at the end of the day. Dr. Ross operates an integrative arm of his Crossroads practice, and his approach to health is in lockstep with mine: supplements and lifestyle where possible, and conventional treatments when needed. He is also an amazing physician who truly wants to know how his patient is doing and takes the time to talk with you. I trust him completely! He is focused on older patients and has an "Aging Gracefully" program. He also recommends and provides various alternative modalities. He even offered to give me his personal cell number if I had any problems! I refused of course, but it says a lot to me when a physician gives you their personal phone number. In this day and time of impersonal doctors that run their clinics like a factory line, it is the opposite with his clinic. His intake nurse Candy was the nicest person. She answered all of my questions, and was patient. His staff always provides a warm blanket for you while you are waiting. Noone is snappy or has a bad attitude. They also follow up with you to see how you're doing after your procedures. I know it's probably protocol, but still I think that's nice that they do that. They are quick to respond if you leave a message for a return call. His front receptionist assisted me with a note for work specified the way I needed it. I really appreciated that! Dr. Suchin is the only doctor in this clinic, so wait times can be long, depending on what's going on that day. He is also extremely busy, which may push appointments out months. But even with that being said, he never rushes you or is rude.
