He will run further tests until he can figure out what is wrong. He is very good about fitting people into his schedule whenever he can, even if that means working through lunch or late. Dr Yewande Olasimbo has a very attentive bedside manner and is very personable. She also goes by Dr Wendy for short. Yesterday I came in for my annual wellness blood work. I am also on Medicaire which does not pay for any Preventative lab work. Dr Wendy went above and beyond to find which lab work that Medicaire will cover without a cost to me. I mean she researched my prior lab chart, made phone calls to the head medical provider to make sure there would be no cost to me. Now last year I saw a different Physician for the same annual wellness lab work. I also told that physician I had Medicaire; in which she told me all would be covered. To my surprise Medicaire did not cover any cost; inwhich I was billed $893 that I had to pay out of pocket. I was sooo upset! I started to get the feeling she didn't want to see patients that looked like me. She was very dismissive. I asked for three years but she told me that I didn't need a Pap smear or gynecology exam because I was post menopausal and 60 years old. I recently had major issues that I never felt. Because Dr. Curtis took the time to perform an examination I've never had an internist do, my breast cancer was detected while it was still Stage 1. She referred me to a wonderful oncologist and was very caring through the treatment and beyond. You'll wait awhile for a new patient appointment, but once you've been established as a patient, you'll not have a problem getting an appointment when you're sick. She accepts most if not all insurances as well.
