While there is absolutely nothing wrong with treating yourself to a single service (and trust me, everyone here will provide you with excellent service), I believe your best experience will happen when you decide to make an afternoon of your visit. Indulge yourself. You're driving on 360 to get there--do you really want to go right back out there after 30-45 minutes? No! Halina is for pampering! Schedule your facial the same day as your massage. Waxing with your pedicure. You'll be able to lock your things away, wrap yourself on a luxurious robe, drink some wine, and have your services. It's been a few years since I have been able to go to Halina. The interior is immaculately done. Although I did like the old house that they were originally located in, you can't help but love the new location and all the surrounding amenities. Habiba was my aesthetician. Very poor experience here. Not worth the money for what you get on several levels. Staff doesn't seem organized. Called to push my pedicure appointment out 30 min not even recognizing I had a massage it would cut into and then asked me to move it up ( so show up in 20 min ??). They Didn't realize my appointments were booked back to back and with a friend so they could coincide. Massage was not great. The girl didn't seem to have true knowledge of how to give a massage like I am Used to getting. It was like she just kept dumping oil and lotion on me but not doing much. Quiet relaxation room had a woman listening to some sort of podcast on her phone with no ear buds for us all to hear. Just not a great afternoon here. Call it bad luck who knows, you but I Will not be going back to this location. read more

The spa is located in a shopping center in the Bee Cave area. Woodhouse is a chain of spas. I've been to one in Colorado and thought it was small but this location was smaller. It seems like all the spas are decorated with Restoration Hardware furniture. The people are friendly. My friend came to visit from out of town so I scheduled a girls spa day. We had massage and facial. The massage was ok. My spine hurt the day after. The facial with Jessica was fantastic! This was the best facial I've gotten. The facial was five stars. For Valentine's Day I was surprised with a trip to Woodhouse Day Spa. Surprised I was, too! It's a little unsettling to be told "be ready to leave your house at 9am on Valentine's morning and don't wear makeup." I followed orders but was a little confused. Let's just say he pulled off one heck of a day for me. For three glorious hours I was treated like a queen. I had an amazing massage, a glorious facial and ended with a pedicure. Every treatment I had was heavenly and the epitome of professional. The absolute best part about this place? Each and every person, even those who were not performing my treatments, went INCREDIBLY out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, appreciated and in need of nothing. The Woodhouse Day Spa is my favorite place in the world to be. I usually get the 80 minute Swedish massage and love every minute of it and wish they would last forever. The store front is beautiful, airy, and the people that you check in with are always amazingly sweet and make you feel right at home. I've had four massages here in the last year and Bri is by far the most amazing massage therapist that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I recommend this place to everyone I know. I arrived at the spa early and was greeted by Catherine, very friendly. The atmosphere is lovely, but the changing rooms are incredibly small and barely accommodates 3 people. I started out with a facial from Jessica which was very good! If that's where this ended I'd have given 4 stars. I continued with a massage from Latifa. It was honestly the worst massage I've ever had in my entire life. She clearly had NO idea what she was doing and pretty much rubbed my skin raw. When I went to check out, Catherine was no longer at the front desk and I was pretty much shooed out of the spa by the receptionist. Good start....poor finish. **Update: The manager reached out to me and offered me another massage with a fantastic therapist, Moe. It was definitely the 5 stars I wanted to give this place! Just returned from yet another poor service at Woodhouse. I'll start by saying that I booked an appointment with a gift card I received after paying for a lackluster massage (booked a 60 minute deep tissue, got a truncated, 40 minute more-like-a-sweedish). The gift card had been sitting in my purse for months, so I decided to give Woodhouse a chance to make good. I booked an 80 minute deep tissue (with a male therapist) as I have been traveling and working out hard recently and really wanted to work out the kinks. A female therapist took me back and things started out fine...hot towels, light massage, etc, but after a while I started wondering exactly what service I was actually getting. Dry brushing? Hot stones? Those have never been part of any deep tissue massage I'd ever had. I rolled with it, thinking that at some point we'd get down to business. We didn't. About 85 minutes later, there's a knock on the door. Therapist doesn't answer, thankfully respecting the comfort of her client. The knock becomes persistent. She answers. I couldn't hear the exchange, but the therapist comes back and continues working. 5 minutes later the knock returns. I'm thinking, "WTF?" Therapist leaves, another exchange I can't hear, returns and says, "We're all finished here. There were two Sarahs today and we mixed up your services. You got a much nicer service than you booked." Really? Did I? While relaxing, the fact of the matter is that IT WASN'T WHAT I WANTED. The therapist apologized and I suggested that, in the future, the client and therapist start out by getting on the same page about the service about to be rendered. I will say that she did initially ask me if I had any questions about the service. Thinking it was a deep tissue, I said, "no." I go up front to check out deciding that since I'm using a credit, and since I was given 90 minutes of service (though interrupted), I decided to not make a huge deal of it. What I did say, however, was that I was upset that I didn't get the service I wanted and repeated my suggestion that the therapist should confirm the service with the client upfront. The manager at the desk said, "Oh yes, we've already had a discussion about that." Essentially she threw the therapist under the bus. Ummmm....shouldn't you take some responsibility for that, too, for mixing up the clients at the front desk? Bottom line...they seemed to think it was ok that I didn't get what I wanted because in their eyes I got a better service, even though they cut it short but busting in to my session. I wanted a deep tissue, I needed a deep tissue, and now I'm so upset about the whole thing that I'm going to need another massage. Sidenote: There was another woman at the counter when I checked out upset that she couldn't get a refund for an unused, unopened skin care product she purchased the day before. According to her, the therapist gave her the wrong item. The manager at the counter (same one that threw my therapist under the bus), gave her a VERY hard time about it, but finally relented saying, "Well, I checked your record and since this is your first refund I can issue it this one time only." To which the woman replied, "Please be more upfront about your refund policy next time." Bottom line: There are serious communication issues here. I think every employee needs to go to Viva or Mecca and take a lesson in communicating with clients. This will most definitely be the last Woodhouse massage I book. read more

I went to this spa during Spa Week when they were running specials on certain services for $50. I chose the aromatherapy massage (regularly $105) and thought - not a bad deal. The interior of this spa is really lovely - quiet and luxurious. What I didn't like was that I felt rushed throughout the entire process - for example, they asked me if I wanted tea in a waiting area, but before they brought it, I was asked to go to the massage room. Never got my tea. Not a big deal, but they need to work on communication and timing better. As for the massage - meh. It was more like a gentle skin rubbing. After it was over, I really didn't feel like I'd had a massage at all. There were also times the MT exposed far more skin than necessary. I'm not a prude, it's just that the room was cold and I was freezing. If I had paid full price for the service, I would be really unhappy. As it was, I still paid $50 plus a $20 tip (I felt I should tip on what would have been the regular price), which is a lot of money, for not much experience. Not planning on returning. Oh, should mention that the robes are wonderful. If anyone knows where I can get one, I'd like to know. read more

OK. So, after our initial time here where my husband was not pleased, I had to write as quickly as possible to update my review to a 5 star. Kim contacted me the other week expressing her sorrow at the experience my husband had and offered a free massage to make up for it. When I scheduled him for it, Lee wasn't available. However, to my surprise, he was able to have a massage with Lee after all. Bottom line. If you are going here and you really want a top notch massage. You need to have Lee do it. This man is amazing....making muscles melt like butter!! No joke..... Thank you Kim....and THANK YOU LEE!!!! We will be back for massages with him, but will have to look for some coupons due to the fact that our budget doesn't allow $120+ massages right now!!! (so sad)... read more

Overall my experience here was really bad in comparison to The Woodhouse in Fort Wayne, IN (much smaller town in the Midwest). The men's area at this location is remedial and not suitable for a SPA experience. They offered no fruit, nuts or infused water in their co-ed relaxation room. I was offered drink and asked for white wine. They delivered, but it felt like I was inconveniencing them. While having my service I needed to use the restroom. After asking/suggesting the need, my manicurist/pedicurist looked at the clock and said "OKAY" --- you fill in the blanks :-) Before I left, "I" had to remind them I wanted to buy more of their product as suggested by Woodhouse Fort Wayne. Ultimately had to get it out of my car and bring it in so they could match it. Overall the SPA experience doesn't exist at this facility and it doesn't cater to men very well. read more

I was thrilled to discover a nice, quiet sanctuary so close to home. The massage was fantastic and just what I needed. Atmosphere is great and the staff was attentive and friendly. For my birthday, my man suprised me to an afternoon of couple's package from this day spa.... OMG... I totally love this place & we would definitely be back when we're in Austin!!! From the moment we enter the place, you can feel that this place will make you relax & peaceful. It's so serene & soothing... We were greeted by the lovely lady in the front & whisked away to the back to the changing area... I don't know about the men's area but the ladies area is a bit cramped & small... There's enough locker for sure but there's only 1 bath stall & 1 toilet. Their robe is so so softt... It felt goood... and after changing they took us to the waiting area in the back, where they gave you refreshment... Nicely decorated & a lot of natural lighting from the huge windows... I feel refreshed already haha... Anyways, I was enjoying my tea when the 2 massage therapists came & interviewed us first of how we want our massages... Off we go to the couple's massage room... It was nice & big.... The massage... OMG... it was amazing... I was trying so hard not to fall asleep... in the end when they massage my scalp I did... yikesss... Yes, it was that good! I got the prenatal relief massage... Yes, I was prego at the time... After that back to the waiting room & then two facialists came & interview us... I forgot what kind of facial I got, but it was good... She was very attentive. My skin is very sensitive & I get break outs easily... But she was good & my skin felt softer afterwards... It was good & I can confirm that no break outs after.. for me at least... After that we got our pedicures together... I feel so pampered by them... What an experience! I love going to day spa with my man instead of by myself... hehe... Well, after that we took shower & meet at the meeting room & had our snack & drink... their chocolate is good too... and before we left, ofcourse they're trying to sell their product recommendation to us, and suprisingly they didn't push us when we said no... so that's another star for you woodhouse! I would totally recommend them & their two's company package... They're a bit pricey, but the services & attention that you get balance that out..... I really love this place and even though it's a chain I love this location in particular. This place is my "Mommy free time to myself" and it delivers. The welcome staff knows what is going on in their day and do little touches so you know they were expecting you. The first mimosa helped escort me into relaxation as Miranda rubber my back, neck, and shoulders into relaxation for the first of six of our dates. When I was done with my massage, I snuggled up under a faux fur blanket and drank my second mimosa. I chatted with other women taking time for themselves as well as a nervous groom to be. I received a gift card recently for the Woodhouse and found that this is quite the relaxing, tranquil spot for a mani/pedi! So relaxing in fact that I had a hard time returning to work and wanted a fat nap instead. I was initially frustrated because I had booked the Spritzer manicure and the Woodhouse pedicure, but was contacted a few days later because one of the nail technicians was unavailable, so I had to choose one service or the other. I chose the manicure and was disappointed that I would have to drive all the way out there a second time to get my pedicure at a later date. Amber could not have been more accommodating, and when I arrived she promptly offered me some hot tea and a quick pedicure "to accommodate you since your appointment was cut short". Loving the sound of that, she gave me an excellent 20 minute pedicure that was way better than any quick $30 pedi at some inexpensive nail place. She then moved on to the full length Spritzer manicure, and I was in heaven! She kept telling me to relax, and relax I did. Upon leaving, I inquired about the total for the services, thinking I'd need to pay something for the pedicure, but I was only charged for the manicure, and was able to tip using the gift card. Amazing and convenient! I've made my second appointment for another manicure and full pedicure and hope to have another fabulous experience at the Woodhouse. read more

Love Love Love this place. From the moment I walk in the doors it smells like heaven. I have had massages and facials there. I love the facials by Jen ... she is attentive and super sweet. Ilike that she recommends products I acutally need. Plus she gives me tips and alternatives to help keep my skin glowing and soft. The Woodhouse Spa is not a place I would normally frequent. $125 for a massage? I can do without. However, Groupon offered the 80 minute, $125 massage for $55; and, for me, it was well worth it. Having never been to a fancy spa (my one previous massage was at Massage Envy), I was prepared to wait. I even brought a book with to read. However, friendly associates greeted me the minute I walked in and whisked me away to a changing room. Robe and sandals were provided for me to change into. The changing rooms are suitably mood lighted and covered in cooling tile. There were free lockers to stash my stuff and take the key with me. After changing, I stood awkwardly outside in the hallway until asking an experienced spa-goer where to go next. She led me the short walk down the hall to two sitting rooms. A server came by and asked if we wanted tea or water. Both are served as if you're in a fancy restaurant - water in a goblet and tea in cup and saucer. A few minutes later, a masseuse walked by and called my name. My masseuse was Heather. She was very professional and around my age. She trained in San Antonio. Although it was a full body massage, per my request, Heather spent more time on my upper back and shoulders. She worked out several knots; but, when I couldn't handle the pressure, Heather would move on to a new area. I was walking without my characteristic computer desk hunch by the time I left; and, although I'm still sore the day after, I don't have any bruising. The Woodhouse Spa is located at the southwest corner of 360 and Westlake Drive. When there is no traffic, it's a 20 minute drive from downtown. read more

Booked a deep tissue massage today and had Olga as my masseuse. All my directions were ignored, in one ear and out the other, the massage was very weak in the areas I needed it to be strong in, and I wasted an hour and a half just getting oiled, patted, and being told to not tense up when I was already as relaxed as can be. I asked for a deep emphasis on my neck and shoulders and most of the work ended up being done on elsewhere, or very weakly in those areas. Would strongly not recommend getting a deep tissue massage at this location. read more

My husband bought a gift certificate for a prenatal massage and reflexology for me back in Nov/Dec. I scheduled both services for March. In the course of scheduling, rescheduling, and adding on a mani/pedi, I spoke with a total of four people. (not a problem, just important for the story later.) When I called to add on the mani/pedi, they told me they were very busy and the only thing they could do was the quick "Tula" mani/pedi right before my massage. I expressed concern about ruining my nails. They told me people do it all the time and that it's not an issue. On the day (3/22), I called to find out the location - the person who answered the phone didn't know the address. She had never heard of Davenport Village, which is the MASSIVE shopping center just across the street (and where I had assumed the spa was). But that was just a minor inconvenience compared to what was to come. Upon getting into my robe and on my way to the mani/pedi, I was told I could not get reflexology because I was pregnant. How was this the first I was hearing of this? Between my husband and I, we spoke with five people, none of whom indicated that would be a problem. At no point were these services going to be provided to anyone other than myself, so they could not have thought they were for two separate people. When they told me this, I had to prompt them for potential solutions - I went with the extended prenatal massage. The mani/pedi I received was mediocre at best (and I was the only person in there). My nails were chipping that evening. There was little attention to my cuticles and the polish was inconsistent (in places, it was clearly only one coat). I didn't notice this until I had left, otherwise, I would have asked for it to be redone. At the beginning of my massage, my therapist told me she does not touch the feet as that is "counter-indicated" in pregnant women (the description in the pamphlet specifically talks about relaxation for the feet). She also said she wasn't sure how we were going to do the massage without messing up my mani/pedi. I told her I had expressed that same concern but was ensured that it was not an issue. She told me that she would leave it up to me as to when to change sides so she wouldn't disturb my comfort...after all, she had never been pregnant, so she didn't know what it felt like. That's nice and all, but I expect my therapist (ESPECIALLY a prenatal therapist) to take some command and tell me when my time is half over so I can at least get the same attention to both sides. I asked her to let me know when that half way mark was so I could flip. The massage was nice, but if you're going to be a high-end spa, you need to have a pregnancy pillow so the woman can enjoy the massage face down (heck, Massage Harmony Bee Caves has one!). I had asked her to focus on my sciatic region and otherwise, I just wanted to relax. Two days later, and my entire back is quite sore...that's not relaxing. All in all, thumbs down. I'm going to stick with the cheaper and better mani/pedis that you can find just about anywhere, and I'm going to go back to Massage Harmony Bee Caves for any future prenatal massages. Woodhouse is not worth the aggravation or the money. read more

Love the Woodhouse Spa! I've been there many times over the years for pedicures, massages, and facials. It smells so nice in there, and the fluffy robes are awesome. So is the cinnamon tea! I have never personally encountered any snobbery here. With rare exception, I only come here if I have gift certificates. I certainly don't appear wealthy (because I'm most definitely not), and I've gone there in jeans and a t-shirt more times than I can count. When I was pregnant, I went there in a tank top and yoga pants. I've always been treated kindly by both front desk staff, and my techs. I've received both the best pedicure I've ever had, as well as the best massage I've ever had here (I can't remember the name of the person who did the pedicure - it was an Asian guy, and the massage was Lee). I rated it four stars instead of five because the cost for services is rather high considering the location in a strip mall and the relatively small size of the place, but I'll still be thrilled to come here whenever I'm lucky enough to get gift certificates. :) read more

This was my husband's birthday day gift and they booked us at the Austin location instead of Cedar Park. When we tried to cancel and explained the error the woman was super rude and charged my credit card the anyway at the Austin spa. Sadly I used to use The Woodhouse Spa monthly but will be looking for a new spa that values its regular customers and treats their customers with more respect. Anyone know of a good spa in North Austin. We will not be returning to The Woodhouse Spa in Austin. We will give our money to anyone else! read more

I booked an 80 minute Swedish massage here through the online system. The online system is amazing -- I booked late at night for a service the next day and when I arrived everything was perfectly registered and I was good to go. SO convenient, I love it! The front desk staff members were very welcoming and friendly. One of them took the time to bring me a glass of water and to explain the different areas in the changing room. (I agree with others that the slippers they give you are a bit uncomfortable, but they're not so bad that I'd knock stars off my review.) Their robes are heavenly to sit in, and I really enjoyed lounging on the chaise longue in their waiting area. Everything was clean, cool, and comfortable. My therapist was wonderful -- she was friendly and very responsive to how I wanted the massage done. I told her I'd had some soreness in the muscles of my back and she took the time to really work on those muscles. She was very professional and attentive, and I love the smells of the lotions/oils that they use. I'll go back to the Woodhouse and to her in a heartbeat! read more

Today was my first experience at The Woodhouse Day Spa and I could have been more pleased. Everything from the luxurious robes, to the delicious cinnamon tea was amazing. But what was most amazing was the service and friendliness of the staff. I truly felt like they went out of their way to make it a perfect day. My services included a facial, swedish massage, and pedicure. All of them were exceptional. But the best part was the fact that they ordered lunch from Jack Allen's for me, picked it up, and served it on a tray, while I enjoyed a wonderful pedicure! One word: Disappointed! My parents gave my husband and I a gift card for last Christmas for a couples massage and a pedicure for myself. I went in and received a shellac manicure in trade of my pedicure and was a disappointment. The gift card was worth $70 including gratuity. Staff was great and so was the girl who did my manicure or if that's what you want to call it. What was lacking was the quality in their products and quality of care when you are shoveling out that much money to be pampered. The manicure including NO soaking of nails, barely filed or buffed. It's almost like they just slapped on the nail polish and that's it! That is something you are not looking for when you step into a spa like atmosphere like Woodhouse Spa has going on. So I left and not even three hours later my shellac manicure started to just peel off! SO I went in the next day (luckily I live right down the street) and had the same girl fix it. The following day, all nails peeled off like nothing! You pay the extra money of shellac to get the long lasting 2 plus weeks of your nail polish. I am sad that my parents wasted their money on that for me. read more

Warmed Spiced Mud Wrap! A really relaxing treatment. Definitely recommend having one in the cooler months especially if you're prone to having dry skin. A lot of soothing fall scents.
