Our family chose Aviara among several long-term care facilities in San Diego County upon serious consideration, but I hope that my testimonial will highlight Aviara's amazing support and services to its clients. First and foremost, Aviara involves my family in Papa's overall care; WE are part of Team Aviara! I was with Papa 24/7, and got to witness the sensitive care from Team Aviara (around the clock) that validated and accommodated his physical and mental challenges. The entire team at Aviara - from the front desk, to the fabulous nurses and nurse assistants, to the food service personnel, and all of the therapy professionals, among others - really care about my Papa; and listen closely to my family when we offer suggestions to accommodate and assist him. When Papa had a medical emergency last week, the Aviara Administrator and an entire team responded to him within 30 seconds, and did everything needed to assure that he would be okay. The facility is very lovely and clean, with beautiful outdoor spaces for their clients to enjoy. Team Aviara keeps re-arranging Papa's room to make it easier for him to call for assistance, watch TV, make phone calls, AND arrange for family visits that involve many of us. My family gives Aviara a 10+ rating. While I hate that Papa is not home, I know he is safe, sound, and well cared for at Aviara.

Our OT journey has been a lot of trial and error, so we are so grateful that we have finally found the right team of folks for our son's needs. We have a 6 year old with lots of energy. Would definitely recommend you reach out to them for your OT needs.

I came to OT Zone in a moment of desperation and panic. Through foster care, adoption and biology,…read moreI've been a parent to 31-children over the years. Many of my children have lived through horrific circumstances, circumstances that have absolutely altered their brain functioning. Things that love alone cannot overcome. My youngest child, "A" is a superstar in many ways, but her trauma was keeping her from meeting her potential in her extracurriculars and her preschool classroom. At 3-years old, we were facing expulsion from preschool because her trauma behaviors were so disruptive. Her teachers had tried everything, and though they love her very much, they couldn't sacrifice the wellbeing of the classroom much longer. When I spoke owner of OT Zone, I immediately broke down in tears. She gave me a flicker of hope when I was feeling defeated and unsure about my child's future. As somebody who has parented many children, I know what happens to children when early intervention doesn't happen - or, God forbid, when it's not enough. My child's intense and spirited personality were life saving for her in the start of her life, but just because she's now in a safe family where she is forever cherished doesn't mean those behaviors go away. Nicole understands this and conveyed to me that she sees my child's nuances as strengths just like her daddy and I do. Ms. Dani, A's regular therapist, has a gentle approach that is collaborative, which is perfect for a child who still lives part-time in fight or flight mode. She asks a lot of A but not in a way that makes A feel unsafe, for example she doesn't demand eye contact from A - something that traumatized children with histories of neglect can't give to those outside of their most intimate family circle, but she does patiently demand communication, which she elicits. A's sessions are structured but definitely child driven. One of my favorite parts is how cooperative sessions can be between the other clients and their therapists and A. At the end of sessions, Dani takes a few minutes to give me feedback on how to manage challenges we're having out in the wild - like in demanding environments where a lot of being asked of my child who is a part-time fight or flighter. We have had many wins, all baby steps but wins nonetheless, since starting at OT Zone. For example, A was not expelled from preschool and in fact saw enough behavioral gains that we were asked to put her in TK instead of another year of preschool. At gymnastics, she is now navigating the environment much more successfully. A has reclaimed some power and gained ways to communicate when she's too overwhelmed to use words. Even though I've parented a kabillion kids, and quite honestly know a good 50% of what Dani is doing with A, sometimes you need to pay somebody a couple hundo to work with your child and your family to make the things that you already know work for you. There's a lot that goes into healing a child with trauma, and I've learned that it's probably a life long process. Not one thing is enough, you've got to do all the things, and for my family OT Zone has become one of the most important things we've done to help A. A loves her days at OT Zone, she looks forward to her sessions with Joy. It's not easy, the family still needs to do the work, but the team you get at OT Zone is invested, they want your kid to have success and to be more than okay, they want your baby to be happy out in the world doing regular kid things. If my child, with everything she's been through before she became my forever child, can have some success then I bet you anything that your biological child with autism, or sensory issues, or CP, or learning disabilities or just sensitivities to life can have success too. Your child's happiness is everything and hope in your little one's future is a gift. This is for sure an investment while you wait for insurance reimbursement or regional center funding or shaking out the couch cushions but it's worth it and if you're reading this long a$$ review then you probably need this intervention pretty badly already so just do it. Okay?!

Through a thoughtful and well-planned wellness protocol created by Dr. Marquiss (naturopathic doctor) and Evelyn (owner), I received IV treatments to reduce inflammation, EBOO therapy to cleanse my blood and stem cell treatments that supported my body's healing. My mobility has returned and I am functioning again. Before finding ECore Wellness, I tried countless treatments - epidurals, PRP, acupuncture, chiropractor care, massage, decompression, pain medication and even brain pain therapy. Nothing provided the relief that the protocol at ECore has given me. I'm incredibly grateful to Dr. Marquiss and Evelyn, who genuinely care about helping their patients heal. ECore Wellness is truly at the forefront of regenerative healing. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I highly recommend them.

With the money you'll spend with these people, you'll get twice as much and be treated like royalty somewhere else. I genuinely don't know what I did wrong. I simply express my physical needs, future nonprofit endeavors possibly involving their company (a nonprofit would pay for those in need to obtain their treatments), and I asked if anything could be offered to help myself, so I can be healthy enough to proceed with plans already in the works. I genuinely had ZERO expectations (except for normal communication). You will never know what could be, if you don't ask. Next thing you know, none of my messages are being responded to at all. At first the woman was super excited and acted as though, what we were discussing could be a real possibility. She seemed genuine. She asked me for my email address and then never got back to me and refuses to respond for the 2nd time. I'm not well enough to speak on the phone most of the time, so it's easier for me to text or email. She only wanted my email address so she could look up my Facebook. The one I gave her was not linked to my Facebook, but I still think she found it anyway. She only went looking because I thought she had seen it the first time she ghosted me. She had ghosted me previously and I was wondering if maybe she saw my Facebook and maybe that's why she stopped talking to me. I told her that's what I thought. I asked her if that was the reason why she stopped communicating the first time. THERE IS NOTHING CRAZY ON MY PRIVATE FB. She said no, she had not. This time around I think she wanted to check it out, but regardless it shouldn't matter. All it does, is let you know that I am half Mexican Indigenous, that I support our president, I am pro life... do you think this might have something to do with it? If anyone else experiences anything like this, please reach out to me. Personally, I won't allow companies to get away with this kind of discrimination anymore. Going public with a list of the companies that do this, is my next move.

He knows exactly what he is doing, can communicate wonderfully about musculoskeletal problems and pain and is a wizard with his fingertips. He has extensive knowledge of human anatomy. I NEVER thought that I would be relieved of my pain or get back to exercising. I am 68 and now am thrilled that the muscle and tendon pain and tightness that came with aging and long term exercise has been eliminated. When it does creep up on me again, I know exactly how to deal with it. I am back to the wonderful exercising I love to do and am sleeping with minimal pain. I am no longer wondering about hip replacement. Please see the multiple reviews written by patients of Jim on the company web site. I asked him if I could write a Yelp review and he said that the he had not had the time to profile his company on Yelp yet.
