Casa Pacifica was a referral from a respected Del Mar program that helped our loved one. This sober home puts a lot of focus on personal fitness and health both emotional and physical. They have fun activities every weekend, meetings every day, GYM every day, group processing and individual counseling. Basically learning how to live a sober productive life. Encouraging growth and self improvement and there are no exceptions. If your not ready for this they will spot it and you will be asked to leave. The offerings were diverse and the program team found ways to come at addiction from from all directions in the most holistic way. I tell people everyday how thankful I am for my time there. VKM changed my life in the most incredible way.

The facility does get a few stars for the fluff and luxury, just do not expect an experience that will lend to true recovery. UPDATE: I find it interesting that this center had received no reviews since Feb 2022, then three reviews happen immediately after my review on 3/21/23. Seems an obvious possibility that the center retaliated against my post by sending notification out to their network, coaching them for 5 star reviews. Yet another example of the inauthenticity of this place.

AToN stood out as they not only offered an AA approach to sobriety, but the SMART approach as well. The therapists had to leave every 5 minutes to go get this, go find that, print something, look at schedules. I swear they spent more time on these other tasks than me. I found a new local PT and we did more exercises in my initial consult than I did in 3 days at Scripps. Also scheduling is a nightmare, over 3 weeks the best I could get is 4 appointments, that's basically 1 session per week! I would have to fight for openings with every other patient when a text would come through with the new opening, if I didn't reply right away it was gone. Why can't I just book 3 appointments a week, why do I have to fight to get an appointment?

When I was picked up they sent a house manager to get me and he really started to ask question and seemed really sincere, when I arrived to the house I was greeted by some of my soon to be roommates and it was amazing how they all seemed to make sure I was good, alder if I needed food or go to the store? They pretty much made me feel very welcomed. Then I started doing the groups and learned a lot about myself! My one on ones with my therapist really made a big difference and I was able to get through a lot of trauma that was the underlying of root causes to some of my addictions. Since I graduated the program and starting to reintroduce myself to regular life. I have no cravings. If I think about using they come and are gone as fast as they came. I have to say that it was the development of the tools and all the classes and group settings. They really help me get through this and prepare me mentally to think of life in a different aspect and realize that I'm how much better person in sobriety than I ever was in my addiction and I'm grateful for everybody at Shoreline counselors therapist staff they all have made a big impact on the person that I am today and moving forward. I highly recommend this place not only is it an amazing place, but they also show you and teach you how to have fun in sobriety.
