It looked like a gym but didn't smell like a gym.  The cool music was great to listen to as you do your exercises and therapy.  12 sessions later, my constant, excruciating pain (frozen shoulder) is gone!  Leah King was my main physical therapist.  She was knowledgeable, professional, dedicated and patient.  I felt she chose the correct exercises for me to work on my range of motion.  The place's atmosphere was welcoming and everyone knew your name.  Claudia, the receptionist was friendly as she welcomes you and schedules your sessions.  Laura, a student physical therapist assistant was very helpful with the exercises and had a lively personality and always had a smile on her face.  Madeleine, Elliott and Matthew Gray were also involved in my improvement and progress.  Everyone at Spine and Sport worked together to help improve a person's well-being.  I am very happy that my primary care provider referred me to Spine and Sport. Now I can see if I was massively late or have done this before that I couldn't be seen, but you have numerous physical therapist in that facility and you couldn't help me seems ridiculous. I was in traffic and driving trying to find their number to call saying I was gonna be late but I guess it wouldn't matter anyways. I have seen people come in there 10 late and got to see a physical therapist. For me that is the end of me coming to this place I recommend not going. Very disappointed.

I attended Scripps Ranch Physical Therapy for over a year before and after a hip replacement. During that entire time, I was never once asked to make a payment in the office nor did I receive any billing statements. I assumed my therapy was covered through insurance. Five months after my final appointment, I suddenly received two invoices marked "Final Notice." When I called to question these invoices, Terry stated that their records showed the bills had been mailed. I explained that these were the first invoices I had ever received and that it was unreasonable to send "Final Notice" bills without any prior communication--especially after more than a year of regular visits. Her response, after a long pause, was simply, "Are you going to pay?" I requested to speak with a manager and was told, "You are." When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told, "That is not going to happen." This level of rudeness and lack of accountability reflects extremely poor customer service. I feel sorry for the therapists who work here, as they do not deserve to be associated with such managers who treat their patience's with such disrespect. I can't imagine how the management treats their employees. I will not return to this practice and will not recommend it to anyone.

They are without a doubt the best physical therapy provider in San Diego county, California, the west coast, and definitely the country. I've been a client since June 2007 when I re-injured my surgically repaired knee a year post surgery. I worked nearby and it came up on the list. I was mostly excited for the location. Once I had my first appointment I knew I had found the perfect medical care professionals. Their treatments are whole body with an emphasis on full mobility. They don't just look at the affected area without considering how it's affecting your walk, stance, sitting, and daily life. I've worked with many of the PTs over the years but have maintained a relationship with one of my original therapist who has helped me through a plethora of issues, injuries, and surgery. Also the massages they would do on my shoulder really helped. My experience with the PTs was mixed. My first two sessions were with Jeff and he seemed to view work as social hour. He would give me exercises then immediately wander off to talk to another PT about his weekend or whatever else. No complaints about his knowledge or abilities as a PT, but he needs to pay more attention to patients. My last four sessions were with Madison and she was great. Much more attentive and also just generally fun to talk to. While I was doing exercises with her (or the assistant) they would walk around, look at my form, tell me where to improve so the exercises were more effective. Felt like I was getting a lot more benefit from those sessions. Overall I'd recommend them, but don't be shy about asking to switch PTs if you don't feel like you got a great one.

Mark is a focused, but empathetic, force in helping folks address what ails them. I'd thought I'd come to the end of my PT experiences with my Knee Replacement and, most recently, a Shoulder Replacement, but then got referred to work on my spine. Mark is an encouraging person who explains both the big picture, and the specifics of the attack plan to get better. He is also creatively flexible, responding to feedback from patients to craft a more effective workout. Mark flipped my disappointment with having to go back to PT, into a renewed motivation to address my spine, and to incorporate the weak knee and shoulder into continued strength-building and range of motion improvement. Mark's treatment team (the folks who set up the exercises, help patients do the exercises, and help patients maintain success momentum) are Jett, Miguel and Matt. These are the guys who help me get my form right, transition between exercises, and generally help with whatever a patient needs to excel. They are upbeat and full of energy, as well as perceptive enough to help patients fine-tune details of their performance. They help put each individual's plan into action; they are where the rubber meets the road. Last, but definitely not the least, is the Huge Smile patients see when they come in the front door: Mareya. She checks everyone in, and gets everyone organized for their sessions.
